The new formulation is EVERYTHING. So glad I got my hands on it. Also, the water resistant label in the EU does signify a time and why they don't say it is a mystery to me. "Water resistant" is 40 minutes and "Very water resistant" is 80 minutes.
Are any new findings for how long the water-resistant last? Why is there no any mention on their website that it is water resistant. thanks =]
@@_Stav_ thank you
Ramon, thank you so much for recommending this lovely Eucerin sunscreen. After trying so many that are uncomfortable or too shiny, it’s such a relief to finally find something I want to wear. I appreciate you expertise as well as your wonderful screen presence.
I discovered this sunscreen because of you and it has become my favorite. I also have oily skin and it's the only one that does not make me shine like a light bulb. Personally, I'm glad that they reformulated it, because I suppose these new generation filters achieve a higher protection against UVA than the previous ones. Oh and by the way, I have never had peeling with this sunscreen. Thanks for the video! 😉❤
This is really my go-to sunscreen. I have used 5 bottles and still in love with it! Cant wait to try the new one!
Thank you for being like the only review I saw on this. Ran into both on amazon and wasn’t sure which to purchase. Thank you for the through review!
OMG I fell in love with this one last summer after your review and the only “con” for me was that it wasn’t sweat resistant because I’m a hot mess 🥵 thanks for updating us!
It is water and sweat resistant according to the german site.
sooooo happy to see this review! I emptied my last bottle of the OG formula a few days ago, been using the new formulation since then and LOVING it! Love that it is water resistant now, perfect for summer!!!
does the new one pill for you? do you use any products underneath the sunscreen?
@@rafaeltorres3121 no, it doesn’t pill at all for me. I’ve used toners, serums, and a light moisturizer underneath it. Most of the time I just use a light moisturizer underneath bc that’s all I have time for in the AM.
This is on my list to purchase next. I currently have the hyaluronic acid version. It’s nice, but it’s sticky on my oily skin and I’d like something less sticky and more matte. Excited to try it. Thanks for the informative vid!
I'm so glad they removed homosalate, I always have issues with tanning more with sunscreens with homosalate if I don't reapply every 2 hours like CLOCKWORK which isn't always doable for me unless I set an alarm. Thanks so much Ramon, I remember watching your vids years ago and it's awesome to see you blow up like this, take care.
Bought this new formulation by accident today, and it’s superb ! Perfect sunscreen !
I’m so glad for the new UV filters, my skin is really sensitive and my eyes get irritated easily. It’s still going to be a risk for me considering the avobenzone but I really wanna try it after seeing all these good reviews
How did it go? (If you don't mind answering, of course)
Love the new formulation too!!!
Thanks for this review, can't wait to try it
This is in my top 3 favorite SPFs! I love the benefits! I really, really like that it offers HEV protection as well. It’s one of the only sunscreens that truly keep my oils at bay.
A fave of mine too! Do you mind if I ask what your other two favourites are? I'm considering trying something new
@@candicesimpson4565 I like the BEA Solar Defence from the UK (it’s the only mineral one that does not leave a cast on my dark skin. It has a nice satin finish, and good in every season but humid, summer weather). I also enjoy the gold Skin Aqua! It has good UVA and UVB protection and has a very light feel/texture.
@@fefemyluv Thank you! I'll check it out - especially the mineral one because it would be magic not having that awful cast on my skin tone. Never been that lucky
I have oily acne prone- sensitive skin, my fav sunscreens are
-Eucerin oil control spf old formulation
-Inkey List mineral spf- most mattifying one I’ve tried
-Heliocare oil free gel spf
-Alumier clear shield mineral spf
-Facetheory Amil C Whip spf
Nothing beats the Missah Aqua Gel imo. Best sunscreen you recommended to me.
I've been a fan of using the big body version of this on my face this summer, looks great and saves me so much money 😎
Omg!! I will buy the big one too!
Thank you! That's the comment I've been looking for :D
I just bought this! Cant wait to use it.
Thank you after so many sunscreen I found a sunscreen that works for my oil skin that I love
This sunscreen used to be my holy grail about 6-7 years ago, but I stopped using it because I didn't like using microplastics in my cosmetics! I'll be happy to return to it now, though. Thank goodness they changed the formula!
This saved my oily skin during summer. It's the best thing ever
Hola 🙂 i like the sun bum mineral tinted sunscreen face lotion SPF 30 with zinc oxide 2.4% & titanium dioxide 5.8% water resistant. *Bonus: cruelty free brand. I have very oily skin and this keeps me matte. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!
Anessa and Obagi vitamin c protect uv milk are the better ones I have ever used! I have oily skin and they come with mat finish. They are also very light texture on the face but they can modify pores so they go really well before foundation. You should try them.
I have the US homosalate version. It doesn’t mattify my skin and stings my eyes. The new Trader Joe’s SuperGoop dupe actually mattifies and blurs.
I have been loving the Eucerin body sunscreens and I am going to try the new EU one for the face just because I wear one from another brand that burns when applied but is great with makeup. On days when I don’t wear makeup this formula sounds like it would be perfect for me so thank you for testing it!
Personally I use the body dry touch spf 50 sunscreen on my face and I love it!
@@LauraF1981 are you using the oil control version or sensitive protect one? How does it look on the skin (and what skin type do you have)?
@@czlowiekpomidor I use the oil control version but the body one (200 ml) on my face and I love it! It is creamy but not greasy at all and very fast absorbing. I have oily acne-prone skin.
@@LauraF1981 thank you :)
@@czlowiekpomidor welcome 😀
Thank you for your review 🫶🏽
Ola, I bought yesterday and love it,,, I’m 62 my skin is natural,,, and love the glow,,,, by the way I live in Portugal
The old version pilled like crazy. Curious to know how does this new one performs
I'm so jealous that this gave you a mattifying finish. For me although it looks great upon application, a few hours later I am still very shiny. It might be me or it might be the weather (Southeast asia's hot/humid) at this point :'D
It could be the weather. With reapplication, that really helps to ensure I stay matte all day
@ hi Ramon, how many full pumps you need to get 0.8 gm of this SPF ? Really appreciate your response!
Thanks!
I have pilling issue with most European sunscreens and still don't know why. I have found some amazing formulas, but unfortunately pilling is the only reason why I stopped using them. Eucerin is amazing, but with same problem. It doesn't pill in one layer, but does when I reapply. I have to remove it first with micellar water and then reapply
I have dry skin and I love this sunscreen!! The body sunscreen one. It doesn’t dry my skin but I love the “sand resistant” feature because that means it is not sticky. It’s really perfection.
it smells bad or that's just for me?
@@pedrosousa8749 Mine doesn’t smell bad at all. Check for the expiration date
I love this sunscreen a lot, it's in my top 3. Only sad thing is you get white streaks when you do a heavy workout. So for workout days I use my LRP uvmune 400. Also would love to know their ppd as Eucerin doenst want to say/publish that.
I am getting so tired of being in the US and not having easy access to these sunscreens. I really like the Eucerin age defense here EXCEPT for the typical eye sting! My dry skin does not enjoy mineral filters. So I continue to be stuck with substandard American formulations. I don’t understand the excuses either. What is the problem with our FDA and or government that we can’t have European and Asian filters on our shelves? The only formulation I can buy here that doesn’t sting is Black Girl kids formula. It’s a good price too. Three ounces for $10. At least I’m ending on a positive note 😊
I just realized I have a new formulation one I haven’t opened yet. Will pack that one for my travel to down under. I had sometimes pilling and burning eyes with the old one. Especially when sweating and I accidentally rubbed it too close to the eye
Try the shisiedo tinted sports sunscreen please, it has a shade range and I think it will be pretty good for oily skin
You should try uriage , they also reformulated all their sunscreen line. Im using the uriage anti spots and i love it.
I’m still so surprised that few others have experienced the intense pilling. Maybe I got a bad batch😭 but even with no skincare underneath, very shortly after I apply it will it roll off my skin with the slightly touch. It’s made it unusable
same. i didn‘t have ANY issues with the old formula, i loved it so much. but now i got a new one, it leaves me shiny, it pills, makeup looks horrible over it… i‘m so sad 🥲
Exactly the same I had this problem even with the precious one
I LOVED Eucerin oil control (old formula)!! Put it on everyday and never had any issues... then i ordered a new batch online and it smelled different, looked different and also pilled like crazy, i thought it was just 'too old/a bad batch'.. turns out it was the new formula, so sad! :( Now i have to try and find a new one.. But i also experience intens pilling with the new one.. so strange how products work so different for everybody!
Hi I've looked at the ingredient lists on multiple websites online and they all have the old one listed, does anyone know where I can get the new one
How often would you suggest reapplying sunscreen in an office setting?? I'm great at wearing it everyday but reapplying bis another story lol. I am getting better at reapplying when going back outside, but for the most part I'm in an office not near a window. Thanks!!
💯💯💯💯💯 new formulation İs amazing
The original gave me so much acne and doesn’t fully protect against the sun I feel. I will try the reformulation though…
Ok with your Shiseido hat flex 💪 🔥
Could you please review the reformulated missha aqua sun gel?
It's funny to me you upload this today 😂I had been thinking of buying this sunscreen for days now, so it's interesting to see it pop up like this. I never tried the old formula. It seems like the new one has better UVA protection, which I've been considering a lot more. I hope you rebuke the US version as much as I did lol it's awful imo. Thanks for your video!
Love this new Eucerin SPF bcs of the new Filters. But it’s now waterresistant it’s so hard to wash it off…I cant use oil cleanser bcs they cause me acne.
Ramon to AMO este SPF! Pero no logro hacerlo funcionar con ninguno de de mis moisturizers.. It peels off.. what can I do??!
I was so excited to try it 😢and it peels 😅 I haven’t had that issue with a sunscreen in so long 😭
What is the UVA rating of the EU version?
This is Gonna B so Good🔥🔥🔥👍…..
Guys I can't find it ANYWHERE here in Italy. Is it like this in other countries?
Hi Ramon! Have you tried the "Pigment control" version of this?
The new formula breaks me out. Think it's the addition of the BG/Dicaprylate and/or Glyceryl Stearate. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted.
This sunscreen is amazing but how come it only lasted 8 days? Should I speak to the store where I bought it from?
How about the stinging of the eyes? Is it not stinging as the old one?
Thank you!!
Does this sunscreen smell “ sunscreeny”? It gives me such an awful migraine
Omg I've been waiting for this!!! 🙌🙌🙌
Gonna link all my UK & EU friends to this video 😄
Edit: how would you compare this to the Garnier face sunscreens?
ocean potion was mattifying. can u do a video of sunscreens with long sun protection, I always 4get to reapply and I'm in arizona so we r in the 100s
How many pumps do you use for a full face application?
Is it possible for you to also do a video on the best sunscreen sprays? I want to reapply over makeup and I feel like I’m too lazy to use a sponge to reapply with actual suncreams 😭
Stay tuned 👀
@ yay I can’t wait!! ☺️ thank you
Is this new formula water resistant for humid and hot weather?
How good are the UVA filters on this one?
Hi Ramon!!!
🥰💕💕!!!
The new version seems to make my face feel sweaty compared to the original
Mine has a slight yellow tint to it… is it normal?
I tried the original and I wasn’t a fan as it wasn’t water resistant and I really need that. But I don’t see this anywhere here in Sweden - I don’t see the old version either so maybe it’s coming… I will give it a try. I didn’t realize that eucerin was owned by beirsdorf! But Nivea who is also under beirsdorf just reformulated their sunscreens and took out homosalate so it makes sense.
Interesting! In Germany it’s all over the place. There’s even TINTED versions!
@ really?! Then i’m sure it must be coming, but I’m going home to London for few weeks soon, I will look there too. I also got the oil control body one to use Instead but I couldn’t deal with the perfume it’s so strong and never fades.
@@ashleywright9223 I have been using this since Spring. It's available at most online pharmacies.
I just bought this and didn’t realize I got the old formula
Mee too
Can u try out the new cerave spf 50 please?
Where can I buy the new formula
I had to gift mine to a friend because it peeled even with no moisturizer underneath (and I have to use moisturizer because my eye area dries out like crazy) 😭 Just not for me, I guess!
My face sweats a LOT. I live in hot, super humid Texas so i have a lot of trouble with sunscreens staying on but really need good protection. Will this help with this or is there something I can do to keep sunscreen on/stop the sweating?
All skin types are different. I really wished all sunscreens came with a travel size version to test it out. But unfortunately the only way to find out is to try it yourself
Hi! Idk if you already tried this one out, but for me when I'm wearing this sunscreen, sweats just don't evaporate from my face. So even if I'm sweating a little, my face looks super sweaty😬
Does the new formula have yellow tint to it?
I'm guessing the new formulation needs to be removed with oil cleansers and such
Is this available in the Us?
I honestly very sad because the new formula feels more creamy like maybe a little maybe oily or i can feel it more on my skin idk how to explain it and does not feel as skin and dry touch as the old one was 🥹but rather a velvet finish 💔 but other than the texture there is nothing else that is bad, does anyone feel the same ?
Check which one you have. They have the EU version, then an international version, and they’re both VERY different
Ramon, I saw your review of P20 sunscreen. Where can I buy it? I’m in Spain now and can’t find it anywhere!
I m from France and I buy it on Amazon 😉
Is the fluid color is yellow?
Or Am I the only one who’s experiencing this problem?
Unfortunately my fungle acne hate it the old one was ok but with this formula It’s has 6 ingredients that can cause malasezia 🙂
What ingredientes?
Hello, I would really appriciate an answer since I can't find it anywhere. Can these sunscreens be used to treat my Hyperpigmentation. It is really annoying to have these spots on my face after battling with acne for about a year.
Sunscreen is a must anyway, especially if you have hyperpigmentation, but there is also some stuff that should make it go away faster - peelings, acids, serums etc. I would recommend going to a specialist and asking for advice, but if you're going to use some of the more chemically active skincare, be careful, try a little bit on a small area first. Good luck!
You use one pump for your face ?
Is there a way to tell new from old by the bottle? I have two of them and threw the boxes away. Thanks!
Yeah I wanna know this too
we dont have it in my country yet :c
Guys, the smell.... isn't it too strong or is just mine?
Anyone knows if ALCOHOL versus PERFUME : which one is more harmful than the other for skin barrier ?
Like between a perfume-free or alcohol-free sunscreen ? Which one is best (if I can’t find one free of both)
There are a fair amount free of both, depending on where you’re based. Perfume isn’t a barrier issue, that’s more of an allergen/irritant if you have sensitivity to the fragrant compounds. High concentrations of alcohol may impair a skin barrier, but within formulations, it’s worth considering the humectants, emollients, and occlusives in the formula, along with other ingredients, that counter any effects alcohol might have on the skin barrier. The alcohol is there for other properties within the formulation
@ okay, so if you pass the « allergy » phase when testing out a new product with perfume in it. U can then be assured that the product won’t harm you long term ?
the us version was so not it for me 😭 left my skin so shiny
Am I the only one getting bad stains from this sunscreen on my clothes? :(
Love it though
Hi, if I aplly a mattyifing powder immediately after suncreen, i am less protected from UVA UVB rays?
Immediately after, yes. You’re sunscreen needs to set first. Give it 10-15 minutes to set and form the film it needs to, and then you can set. That film forming ability is an important in achieving the advertised apf
@ Is there a difference between spf 50 and spf 50+ ? Wich is better?
Seems like they updated the formulation again - C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate is not the second ingredient on the list, but Alcohol Denat is.
you probably got the international version. the EU new version does have C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate as the second ingridient
@@chris5897 What's the difference between the International and the current EU version? The UV filters seem to be the same
Every mattifying sunscreen I've every used either has alcohol to which my skin reacts badly or it has a white cast. I'm just tired of those sunscreen formulas, can never find anything that works.
Hi, so is there any chance that in the past 9 months, you have found a sunscreen that fits these requirements?😅☺️🤞🏻
@millie kerner Not exactly. I found a truly lightweight sunscreen that has alcohol. However, my skin tolerates it very well. It doesn't dry it out, neither do I have any other bad reaction. Eucerin Hydro Protect SPF 50+ is the product. I'm really loving it, it is not matifying, but it is invisible on the skin and very light.
Is the denatured alcohol to worry about in this product?
absolutely not
Would you recommend this or the tinted version?
This. The tinted version has a LOT of coverage
Did they get rid of this in the United States? I think they renamed it Clear Skin instead of oil control.
This is the EU version, but I believe you’re correct on the US version (VERY different formulas) being renamed
Thank you, how do I get the EU version please?
What websites do you guys buy your eu sunscreen from?
Where do you live?
@ I live in the USA! So it’s hard to get good sunscreens from the EU over here. When I do find a website that ships to the US then i notice that they don’t send certain brands over to the USA like la roche-posay :( Also I love your videos and thank you for responding ♥️♥️♥️😭
Am I the only one that HATES this sunscreen? It pills, it leaves a white cast (even though my skin is not really dark), it feels horrible :( could it be that the one I bought is expired or something?
I've been loving the Bondi Sands Sunny Daze SPF 50 Moisturiser...the funny thing is I have oily skin and it doesn't make my skin greasy. It's actually mattifying hence why I like it 😂😂
I heard it has a white cast on dark skin
The Missha All Around Safe Block Aqua Sun Gel has a new formulation recently too. Can i trouble you to feature this sunscreen? Want to hear your thoughts about it. Thank you.
Stay tuned!
interesting!
But the new fornula have a Draft effect in my skin, why?
A what
@ Eraser effect
@@danielmazariegos6131 what does that exactly mean?
@ When I applied the sunscreen, I used the ceraVE blemish control gel below, then the Eucerin oil control, but it left me with white rolls as if it were an eraser, do you understand me?
@@danielmazariegos6131 it's pilling, when the product kinda balls up and flake on your skin. and yeah it's kinda like the crumbs from using an eraser :) idk a hard and fast rule to avoid pilling but i think some ingredients aren't compatible when they're in contact, so maybe you can try using just the sunscreen, or experiment with another moisturizer
Is it water resistant?
The new formula is!
@ thanks 🙏
No.. The new formulation - though being stronger - is less mattifying.. Dare I to say "leans more dewy"?
I don’t find it dewy at all in person
@ the old one had this borderline "powdery" finish..
While the new one is more of a "creamy" finish.. If u know what I mean!! 😞
Anyway.. It's changed.. It is what it is!
Though I'm SURE if you'd email them to try to make it more matt.. They'd listen to you more than a random user like myself!
@
Now mentioning Matte sunscreen...
I'd encourage you to try "Nivea luminous evenglow spf 50"
Pros:
-price
-Velevity silky matte
-pump bottle
-reapplication seamless on itself even for 3rd application
-brown skin friendly "I'm dark caramel"
-easy to carry 40 ml bottle
Cons:
-Multiple fragrant components
-less product as its only 40ml
-my eyes started feeling uncomfortable around 2nd application and very uncomfortable at 3rd application
All in all.. Repurchase worthy.. And I'd use a separate one for the eyes
