- In today's video, we cover the topic of how to safely clean and protect gloss finished wheels. Nick brought in his 1966 Pontiac Catalina which has a set of chrome steel wheels that have been exposed to constant fallout and water spots on top of getting dirty from being left outdoors. What's the best way to wash the blue applicator pads. I have one drenched in butter wet wax.
Wish they had their products in retail stores. They only have certain people in Canada that sell them. You should have all auto stores carry these items lol

How long did it take to take hydro slick off. We had a hard time taking this off . No need to throw your towels away put then in a bucket with dish soap and after your done detailing .Wash your towels.
It took me about 10 minutes on each wheel to completely remove the hydro slick off my asanti wheels. 3 of those minutes was to let it set
I do the same thing with certain microfiber towels and microfiber sponges. Soak in warm water and dish soap, wash after it's done soaking for a min.
@@8500Dylan problems I had was with the first coat and we Decon the paint pretty good and the paint old 1987. The second coat was easy to take off.

Those wells are set up as I’m sure you know for baby moon’s look good on that. Hydro slick I don’t know about that stuff
Hey Michael! You are correct, the baby moon caps are getting polished as well before going back on the car. HydroSlick is an all new ceramic coating that is very easy to apply and is long lasting. Add hydrophobic properties to your paint, glass and wheels while also increasing shine.

I have a black charger with a lot of bad water spots, fine to medium scratches and swirls. After I do my paint correction, would blacklight, jet seal AND butter wet wax be a good combination?
I use blacklight and butter wet wax on my black car and it looks amazing when it's done. I think that would be a great combo, just do Blacklight first, Butter wet wax second and then use Jet seal.
Loved the videos you've been doing. I have one question. You said that any gloss wheels can have that. My wheels they have matte and gloss finish. How should I proceed?
Hey! Use this same process on the gloss sections of the wheel. Maintain a matte sheen with Meticulous Matte Spray Sealant.

What’s the best product to remove existing dressing from tyre side wall?
Hey there! Using any wheel cleaner or an all purpose cleaner like Nonsense will remove old dressings.
Just use your regular carwash shampo with a tire brush.

Any recommendations for tarnish chrome rims? I have had these rims for 5 years and I think salt and other chemicals have tarnish my rims. Any of your products can help remove the tarnish stains?

Hi Jim! HydroSlick will harden the applicator and microfiber towel after application.
Is hydroslick better than wheel guard?
Hey Chris! Both are an excellent choice however HydroSlick provides hydrophobic properties that repel water drops and prevent staining.

Hi Cameron! You can use Speed Wipe to maintain gloss in between washes and HydroSlick to add shine as well as hydrophobic properties but avoid using Light Metal Polish on black painted wheels.

Hello Nick, I just bought brand new wheels for my 2019 Ram Warlock, 4 play rims that are gloss black with brush finish with gloss on it. I have the following products that I want to protect and wax the complete wheels.Hydro slick, Hydro Charge, Black Wax, butter wax. is it over kill to put all four of these items in a row. Or would your recommend an additional product to protect the wheels.Most of the time when the rims are dirty I would just wash it with the wheels with your Wheel soap productsThanks, grant
Hey Grant! It is perfectly fine to apply all four products because the more layers that are on the surface means there will be more shine and protection. Following the same steps as when applied to the vehicle, HydroCharge, HydroSlick, Black Wax and finish with Butter Wet Wax. - Happy detailing!!

Aluminum forged American Force wheels were ceramic coated. Unable to remove swirl marks and water spots. I tried 1/2 water, 1/2 vinegar, a wasted effort. How can I solve this problem?
Hey there! Have you tried using our Heavy Duty Water Spot Remover? It works out excellent at removing hard water stains and marks on virtually all glossy exterior surfaces.
