      Anne Elizabeth... I DID no harm. I am not the Grim Reaper. My comment comes from personal experience. Cancer and Chemo destroyed me. I was never told about the lasting effects of what I might face should I make it to remission. I am 10 years "cancer free" and still have massive problems with cognitive function/finding words/short term memory/recognizing people... They call it "chemo brain." so, Anne Elizabeth. go back and re-read my comment. Are you stable enough to admit when you are wrong with grace? Or do you want to keep on with this?

    • @annomaly751
      @annomaly751 5 лет назад +13

      Dr. Tiffany Lopez I’m sorry for my overly harsh words and sorry to hear you had cancer gone through these horrible treatments& side effects.I thought you were being a cold jaded doctor. I just don’t want her hope taken away when she most needs it.

      @dr.tiffanylopez5315 5 лет назад +5

      @@annomaly751 Thanks for being mature about it... I will be as well by acknowledging I should have added more context to my initial comment... its only meant to reflect what has happened in my case. Chemo brain/fog doesn't happen to everyone who has treatment. In no way did I intend to steal hope... just responding to the root comment.

      The irony of your comment is that you are the one that is so easily manipulated. b17 does not even exist let alone cure cancer, www.snopes.com/fact-check/cancer-vitamin-b17-deficiency/ It was made up by a quack, so rather than believe thousands of cancer researchers that would rather cure cancer than make money, you believe some quack thats easily manipulated.

    • @ThenVersusNow_
      @ThenVersusNow_ 6 лет назад +11

      Do you understand you have a problem, you need a conspiracy. To believe one or two charlatans that make this claims over thousands of honest researchers is the definition of a conspiracy theorist. It is a mental problem. It is literally impossible for so many people to be in on a vast conspiracy to keep an easy cure out of the hands of the public. Literally impossible given human nature. There are people devoting their lives to research that do not care about money in the slightest, I am a research scientist only not in cancer. So rather than believe that, you focus on a handful of people making outrageous claims with no scientific evidence. Do you know why? Not because of evidence, but because of the idea that this unknown power is keeping this secret from everyone. Come to terms with your own issues if you ever want to seek the truth.

    my boyfriend was diagnosed with grade 3 astrosytoma in May 2016, he had a surgery the following month, a month of radiation, 7 months of chemo, as well as immunotherapy. tumor was located in the left frontal lobe near his speech and right side movement. He had an awake surgery and temporarily lost his right side movement, speech, inability to read and write, and talk but all of that was regained shortly after. Also the hair that he lost due to radiation actually grew back a lot thicker and darker. He just completed immunotherapy and his last mri was clear.
    Good luck to you, and know that you are not alone. You will beat this beast!

      I had a grade 2 astrocytoma and they had also performed an awake craniotomy on me. Luckily for me I had no deficits and went through a month and half of radiation along with chemo which lasted for about 7 months. I am now doing well and I have been back to school doing just fine. Only thing is that it left me at a high risk of seizures which I had a few but I consider myself very lucky.

    About 3 years ago when she was 7 my little sister fell at school and couldn't get back up again, after hours in the hospital we found she had a brain tumour sat on her spine at the back of her head. It was a fast growing tumour the size of a golf ball that she'd had for around a year. They told us that at first they wouldn't be able to remove the tumour because of where it was, but when it came to it they removed the whole thing, the biopsy came back and we were told that it was cancerous, and her journey started there.
    Initially we were told that she had a 20% chance of survival, now it's totally flipped and she has over an 80% chance of survival, her journey has been hard and we have shed many tears but now at age 10 she's 1 year cancer free. her scans have shown no new growth and with lots of treatment and medication she'll live a happy life.
    She's battled with her mental health, bullying, Anorexia, she's had friends who have been taken from us because of this disease, but she still has a smile that will light up a room.
    Please stay positive, I can see in such a short space of time your speech has come along so so fast, this is not the end of the road and you will keep getting better, there will be bumps and turns but even when things look bad, they can change!
    You have so much strength, just like my absolute inspiration of a little sister!
    Sending all of my positive vibes to you! Good luck x

    I was diagnosed (although with a type of leukaemia) in August, just before my 4th birthday. I was in hospital and on chemo for 2 years. I used to have blonde hair but it grew back brown haha. It's hard but you get through, and once you come out the other side, although it's still a fight, it makes you so much stronger than you ever thought you could be. :) Thanks to a prayer army of family and friends I was considered cured about 5 years ago, now! Although obviously some repercussions of treatment are permanent, and oncology check ups are still every year. I'll be celebrating my 18th birthday at the end of this month! To anyone reading this who is fighting right now, stay strong, you can get through. God bless you.

    This is insane!! March last year I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and my surgery was in August. For 5 months they told me it was benign but I always had a gut feeling it wasn't. 2 days after surgery my neurosurgeon told me that it was cancer and I would need further treatment. I had 6 weeks of radiation and 4 rounds of chemo. I finished treatment 3 months ago and I'm loving life again. If you ever need to talk to someone who has such a similar story to you hit me up on instagram lauren_rawding Also try not to be too upset over your speech, I took ages to go back to normal and my tumor wasn't even near my speech so I can't imagine what you're going through! Stay strong, I promise it will get better xx

      The pin the tail on the donkey part actually made me giggle. Not because it was funny but because she wasn't upset about it or getting frustrated. She was having fun while trying to get it right and even laughed herself and her laughing it off and having a smile on her face made me giggle at it. I have so much respect for her❤️ She is taking the whole situation so well and Ik how frustrated and upset she must be with all of these life changing things going on. She will get through this. I know it.

    • @BrandyDawn
      @BrandyDawn 6 лет назад +15

      Agreed. I laughed hysterically at the pin the tail in the donkey part- only because she was laughing and you could hear her family laughing in video as well. Had she been upset by it it wouldn't have been funny. But I had to rewind like 3 times because it was so hysterical. However, even with her positive attitude I still feel bad for laughing. I can't imagine going through this. Just happy she has great doctors, family, and an amazing support system because that is what is keeping her so strong.

    my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer 6 months ago. it spread to her spine, bones, and brain. she has gotten radiation and also gets an infusion every 3 weeks of a hormone blocker called herceptin. last week we found out that the herceptin, which has been keeping the cancer from spreading even more, is causing her heart to fail. so they are now taking her off of the herceptin and we are terrified. throughout the radiation on her brain and spine and throughout all of her infusions, she has continued to work full time as a social worker. she still drives herself everywhere and works Mon through Fri and she's honestly so incredible. she amazes me everyday.

      martinecarina obviously I'm not the OP, but in regards to your egg question, the answer is yes. chemo can cause hair loss, infertility, tooth loss, loss in bone density, etc. chemo is pretty terrible to your body while performing a really amazing thing (killing cancer).

    Cancer GRADE is different than cancer STAGE! Grade is how different the cells are from the cells of origin, how likely it is to spread/how quickly it's growing. If you decide you want to do chemo and radiation, I advise you harvest some of your eggs in case you want future children. I know it's a hard thing to think about and there are other ways to have children, but I know many cancer survivors/patients who have done this in order to have biological children, should they choose, down the line.
    Also, get second and third opinions. It's always good to have different perspectives because you never know which one may save your life. There is a great oncologist in Philadelphia. They have saved more than one person in my life, it can be a little expensive, but it is one of the best.
    Good luck, girl. You're doing great. Also, don't push yourself when you start chemo, let yourself relax and heal.
    Also, I love these videos. It's nice to see how you're doing and progressing, it's also informative for someone who may be faced with the same situation. Keep it up, girl. :)

      dollyartbla The average person in the US can barely afford all of our healthcare... we'd have to pay so much for the storing... so yeah it's not automatic. I'm sure doctors bring it up, but it's our cost. Let me put it this way; I have to decide which medical issue is priority and after it's done being paid for, then I can go for the next. Or if I have several I have to put myself in temporary debt.

During chemo a lot of the nurses said so many patients don't do this because they didn't think to do it and their doctors never mentioned it. It is expensive, especially for a woman, but if you can do it you should. My husband is doing well and I'm actually 8 months pregnant via Ivf! Good luck to you! You look and are sounding great! 😘😘

      dollyartbla healthcare in Ireland is not free! What Ireland are you living in ?! 😂 I have private health insurance and it has me more in debt than my college fees ! Public patients are put on waiting lists for years and don't get the same treatment as people with health insurance! It's a two tiered system the same as America!

      Carolina O If she is the only one in her family who has had brain tumors, it's not as imperative to get genetic testing.
      The fact that she was surprised when they found the tumors and not very worried after the surgery about cancer leads me to believe it doesn't run in his family, therefore, even if it is genetic the occurrences aren't high.
      Oh and since it isn't an aggressive form it isn't as important.
      However, many people opt for genetic testing as a given, if they have the money.

      dollyartbla : the US is so much more concerned with dollars, they have no investment in the happiness or future goals of the individual. Here in the US it is whom ever can afford the treatment, has the right to do it. Unfortunately, healthcare is not a right, it is a service, like dying your hair, or purchasing fashion, first you must afford it, then they care.

    I really hope you read this message. Don't be scared, stay strong and brave! I've had cancer twice, also stage 3. First time 13 years ago I was 25, second time 6 years ago I was 33. Two years ago I had a defibrillator implant because I have cardiomyopathy. Today I'm 39 and standing strong. If I can do it you can do it! Stay positive and don't loose faith, God is enormous!! Always keep in mind your mom, dad, family. Think about how much they love you and how much they need you. The first time I had cancer my daughter was 3 weeks old and the second time my son was 2 years old, so I'm fighting for my 2 kids everyday. Once again stay strong and fight for your life. You CAN do it!! God bless you!

I'm sure it does not seem a short time to you but in the big scheme of things it has not been that long. Praying for you, dear girl. Like so many others I can tell you of great recoveries...my 7 year old niece had 4th stage neuroblastoma and she is a strong 18 today! My brother-in-law had 4th stage Hodgkin's Lymphoma and he is doing just great 17 years later. Look to the positive because it is there for you to bolster yourself and keep a good attitude. We are all praying! Keep us posted on your journey. 😘

    So this is for all her subscribers and fans ! :
    I know we all love her and we all care about her a lot !
    And I know that probably a lot of you guys would love ti help her (me included) but it's heartbreaking to know that you can't do anything to help
    So what I wanna say is
    lets all try to spread her videos and spread her channel as much as we can so she can gain some more subscribers and views and with that more people that will love and support her and show her that they really like what she does and hopefully this will cheer her up a little bit
    I mean every youtuber loves to gain a subscriber because thats means a person more that really like your content and personality
    I think that would mean alot for her if we were able to make this happen
    And in addition to that , she would make a little bit more money which could maybe help her a tiny bit because all these medications and stuff are really expensive
