Like what NY is doing in the last handful of games. I would like to see Rempe continue his development in minors. He's as agile and is quick to pass the puck (HIQ). Put Brodzinski back in. We need fast and urgency in the games. Get'er done tonight!
The coach needs to stop believing his own lies.....The team is not playing better defensively.....we need defense....maybe a new def coach.....this team is not a contender.....and....paying all those millions to players that are not defending....
Yes they are. They shut down Vegas, lost to the Avs, but the Avs struggled in our D zone. Could they be better, yes. Borgen has been good. Physical, not a lot of O upside, but takes the body. Vaak, I'd rather see Jones. They really need a shutdown d man or 2.
Lavi it shouldn't take 1/2 a season to play better defense and it's not a lot better! Most of the players still watch the puck and not tie up sticks, take the body of opposing players. Housley should have been the one to suffer the consequences. It probably almost got you Fired.
I miss the days when the NYRs could establish and maintain puck control in their opponents end cycling and moving to create shooting opportunities. Now it looks as if at best they can just knock it out of their own end but into an opponents stick. Even on their power play, they use to cycle and create confusion and opportunities through motion. Now? I can close my eyes and tell you Mika will be in the goalies right looking for a late one-timer into a waiting netminder. Totally uninspiring. Totally predictable.
