Turcotte has been fantastic this season, he impacts the game in positive ways when he's on the ice, Turc has always been more than goals and assists it may not always be sexy but he's always a positive
Even in juniors, Turcotte was always like that playmaker kind of all around 2 way center rather than a scorer, which is why he played so well with zegras and Caufield on the usndt, those concussions rlly hurt him early and his development but seeing him get a real shot this year and playing well is so promising especially after all the injuries
I feel like what you missed about Zegras (I’m a Homer so huge bias here) is that he’s mostly solved the holes in his two-way game, the team looks much better with him on the ice because he’s become a confident defender and a great weapon to clear the zone and take it through neutral ice. He’s definitely struggled offensively and I understand the wider consensus that he’s regressed but when he was playing this year I thought he was arguably our most reliable forward, in spite of what his stats show you. The problem with Kakko is more like 90% the Rangers' fault. He shouldn't have re-signed with the Rangers this year. Heck he should've gotten out of NY as soon as he could. His agent failed him too. Still think he's going to break out and make the Rangers look stupid.

Oh Kirby Dach, one of the final stains of Stan Bowman’s reign of terror in Chicago, along with that lovely Seth Jones trade and extension. He’s your problem now Edmonton 😂
I’m a Devils fan. Kakko’s problem is he came on to a re-tooled Rangers team where he was getting 3rd line, maybe 2nd line minutes, and had an incredibly short leash. Jack came on to a bottom feeding Devils team where he was immediately given the chance to grow and fail on the 1st and 2nd lines and he’s flourished.
Depends what you mean by pop off. I think he will be a 60-70 points at the very most in his prime. Really disappointing considering he was supposed to be a superstar scoring 100 points
Kakko was s surprise disappointment but I also blame the Rangers development, hope he finds more success in Seattle. Thought Dach sucked and was happy to see the Blackhawks fumble that pick. Byram seems quite servicable and helped the Avs to a cup should have a decent career. Turcotte is also disappointing, should've been better, surprised LA kept him even as a depth guy. Seider was an outstanding pick. Cozens is fine, he'll have a decent career. Broberg is kinda meh. Zegras is looking decent despite the injuries. I was pissed when we took Podkolzin. Should've drafted Boldy or hell Newhook or Krebs would've been safer.
A little early for this isn't it 😆. These guys have what 3-4 seasons max behind them?! You won't know how a draft truly was until 8 yrs have passed, by then players have time to develop into their prime. Rarely does a player start off at their best out of the gate, and the ones who do, usually fall off fast and have 3-4 good seasons before becoming average. A lot has to do with what team they get drafted too as well, some teams can develop young talent well, some are absolutely terrible and ruin would be stars. I've always found that 80% of players reach their prime in years 7-8.
Boy, am I glad we turned it around and won the cup. We would have had a high pick in this particular draft if that didn't happen. Once again, PLAY GLORIA.
Zegras needs the right situation. I think all players do. Some more than others. Utah would be my 1st fit for him. And Seattle. Fresh teams fresh start
I mean, it was a bad draft year. After Caufield at 15, there's not a single other player that moves the needle. Half joking, this draft was SO BAD the NHL might have caused Covid just to get people to forget how bad it was. There's MAYBE 15 players that will ever hit 170 NHL games.

Dach is 6'4 and tries to play like he's 5'9. That always annoyed the hell out of me. Maybe he knew how injury prone he would be and tried to avoid contact.
@rapta_gg8059 It's mental health issue . It's awareness and every player has it but everyone dealing with it differently
Harley at 18th is now a top 2/3/ defenceman on a very good team.😮
Great pick as usual by the Stars
Broberg is legit.
if Broberg can play good not great defensively and give you 35 points as a 2nd pair I'll take it.
Canucks picking Podkolzin over Boldy is still wild to me
Kakko not getting top 6 is why he’s not lightning it up
McMichael at 21 and Protas at 91 is looking REAAAALLLL good right now!
you're well spoken. thanks was a good breakdown
Thanks!
All 3 Hughes brothers should've gone 1OA.
96, and 2012 were probably the 2 worst drafts ever. 1999 was bad as well but the Sedins at 2 and 3 overall keep it from being one of the 2 worst drafts of all time.
Oh Kirby Dach, one of the final stains of Stan Bowman’s reign of terror in Chicago, along with that lovely Seth Jones trade and extension. He’s your problem now Edmonton 😂
I feel like Kakko could’ve been something if he had a chance
I’m a Devils fan. Kakko’s problem is he came on to a re-tooled Rangers team where he was getting 3rd line, maybe 2nd line minutes, and had an incredibly short leash. Jack came on to a bottom feeding Devils team where he was immediately given the chance to grow and fail on the 1st and 2nd lines and he’s flourished.
Byram was nails for the Avs. He just needs to get out of Buffalo
Kappo kakko going to pop off on a new team 😤
Kaapo Krakko
Depends what you mean by pop off. I think he will be a 60-70 points at the very most in his prime. Really disappointing considering he was supposed to be a superstar scoring 100 points
@@wresling300 Rangers failing to develop his skating killed his ceiling.
The thing with Broberg is actually injuries.
Hughes looks like a top 10 player to me.
Giving the 2012 draft a run for there money.
HAHAHAHAHHA
Boy, am I glad we turned it around and won the cup. We would have had a high pick in this particular draft if that didn't happen.
Once again, PLAY GLORIA.
Who’s we? Lol you a pro player?
@GlazingIs4Pedos Bro, it's common for sports fans to use "we" when referring to a team they support.
Cozens tried to fight Hathaway and got dummied. Hasn't been the same since.
Mike which NHL prospect do you believe has the best chance to make a bomb-ass grilled cheese?
Dach and Kakko are hands down the biggest busts. Turcotte is starting to look decent
2 Superstars and all effective nhlers is not a brutal draft. Lots of drafts aren’t as good as this and lots of its players are still improving.
Zegras needs the right situation. I think all players do. Some more than others. Utah would be my 1st fit for him. And Seattle. Fresh teams fresh start
My Caps did just fine with number 25.
tbf 2 of them are in Buffalo, the biggest prospect killer in the league
I mean, it was a bad draft year.
After Caufield at 15, there's not a single other player that moves the needle.
Half joking, this draft was SO BAD the NHL might have caused Covid just to get people to forget how bad it was.
There's MAYBE 15 players that will ever hit 170 NHL games.
THF there are some nice guys later in the first round
Turcotte has been very good for LA
I don’t think the 2019 draft was that bad, as the ones who hit, hit.
Hard to give kappo any shit, rangers destroyed him.. hope he gets back to what he can be in seattle
Iiii mean maybe watch Turcotte. Because he’s healthy now, and he’s legit….
Thank goodness my team took Jack
Jack over Kakko & Hischier over Patrick ... could you imagine if they went in a different direction on those two? Both picks were debated, not so much now ...
@@jayjopam8505 Fr we would be nothing….
Hughes Byram Seider Cozens Broberg??? What is this guy thinking? Just cause we have been spoiled, look at the Sedin draft.
You're describing mid besides Hughes and Seider for a top 10.
Really thought podolzkin was gonna be somthing man
These guys are only 23 right now give it 2 years
But it’s not a great start
Turcotte is actually him
Half of these guys made plays last night.
What do you think of the 1964 draft
Cozens is great he’s just a sabre
McMichael 25th. Let's go Caps
You look like Bo Horvat's little brother.
I'll take that!
TLDR: Hughes good, rest shit.
Conner mcmicheal has more goals this year then jack hughes
*than
Mcmichael has 28pts in 32 games. Jack has 42pts in 36 games. That’s a better comparison.
9:16 you know what else is massive?
Ninja lower taper fade meme
"Ahnzay Kopitar" lmao nice try bud
Nice video
Every time Jack touched the ice his line has a scoring chance injuries have been his problem
This aged poorly
Hawks took Dach. Yuck. Wanted cozens
21:15 Zegras will be a Bruin by next season anyways🥱😂
HAHAHAHAH
