because it doesn't work for everybody. including me. It finds my tv and then my tv says "miracasting... ready to play..." and then it doesn't connect or anything
because this doesn't work on computers that are connected on Ethernet (while TV is on WIFI). You need an adapter (dongle) on your PC to connect to WIFI first. Video should specifically say that both devices have to be on WIFI.
I spent an hour looking everywhere else but here to mirror my laptop to my new tcl Roku tv. Every site I ended up on, logically to me, there were way too many steps to complete the task. I had already added the tv to my devices and connected to it. It was the display piece I was missing. You provided me a, with a calming voice, way to finish this task easily and quickly. Thanks so much for the video.

God bless you. Thank you, been looking for this almost a year and finally. Thought maybe my tv didn't support my laptop I only got to 58sec in ur video and follow ur instructions and I got my tv connected to my laptop.
Many thanks buddy. It worked for me with my desktop pc and a 55" TCL tv I have hanging on the wall in my home office. Great for watching old B&W classic movies from youtube.
Awesome video, thank you! For those who want to Mirror their main screen instead of using the TV as a separate screen, back in the display settings, scroll down to the Multiple Displays drop-down and you can choose Duplicate desktop on 1 and 2 or whatever your configuration is.
i just want to say THANK YOU SOOO MUCH i’ve been trying for months to connect my devices to my TV so i can watch movies with my family and it finally works thank youu
Changing the projection mode helped me. All I was seeing was my desktop because it was in extended mode, not I can use it in duplicate or second only! Thanks!
Your advice used to work, but no longer, not sure if it's because of an LG update, or if I have forgotten something en route. I get as far as 'you can now view your device's screen on your LG TV' .... but I can't! Is there something more I should be doing? Many thanks.

Hello, How can I mirror only my laptop's RUclips tab window to TV while I am working on my other windows on other apps open in my laptop? Thank you for your reply, Paul
In my television occurs an error. It says that it can't connect at the momment, to try again later. Everytime I try to connect my PC to my telivison that error occurs. How do I solve it?
I have a smart tv but i can't seem to find the device even though i am connected to the same network with my computer? EDIT: With Google Chrome you can stream your desktop pretty easily, altough it is very delayed i noticed.
You explained very well, it just that I can't find connected devices. Very frustrating! I've been at this for 8 days so far. All I want to do is watch Britbox on my living room TV.

If it were as easy as it looks here, I wouldn't need a tutorial. As always, the settings never look the same as the youtubers despite also being on windows 10...
It did work for me and I gave this vid a like but I ended up not using this. Why, you may ask? Well, when I tried this and mirrored my laptop to my TV screen, my TV started flickering (yes, both my computer and TV support Miracast). I pretty much tried everything and even resorted to reinstalling the graphic drivers but to no avail. I tried various projection options such as "duplicate" or "second screen only" but it still flickered. Even if it does work properly for you, I recommend not using this because Miracast has a limitation of 30Hz when displaying at 1080p resolution so it looks choppy whenever you're dragging the mouse cursor.
Great vid! PLEASE HELP: My Lenovo laptop and LG SMART tv worked great (wifi, no cables)! Then I got mysterious MS "updates" and now the computer/tv "see" each other but then I get "connectivity stopped" and it doesn't work? Where's the secret switch to fix this?
Yes, it does you can go to settings in roku then go down to system and then go to screen mirroring and make sure its on prompt and then you can mirror it onto your TV.
ok That was VERY helpful. What can i do to improve the signal strength from the laptop? Should i want to do so in a large room or mirror with device in another room.
You're very welcome. I'm not sure how you can improve signal strength other than the positioning of your laptop as Miracast doesn't use standard WiFi but the peer-to-peer Wi-Fi Direct standard.
i can connect my pc (desktop) to my tv and can play youtube videos on it from my pc with the youtube button for it. but when i go to my display settings there isn't an option to "connect to a wireless display" so i cant fully mirror it. any suggestions?
What about if you wanted to do it the other way round, is this not possible? Project your TV on to your PC? Sometimes we have recordings on TV boxes we'd like to get on PC but we can't, Google always brings us PC to TV but not TV to PC.
It's good and Working as you Show at home. But I used it in Our workplace it took some difficulty to connect and I browse more wireless connectivity products and I found prijector its review was good and more features, and I tried meeting made easy wirelessly

why does the pointer lag so much? how can it be fixed?
The pointer lags because your TV is not supporting the pixel as well.
only way you'd fix it is via HDMI directly to the TV. You won't get 0 input lag over a wifi signal, laptop to tv.
