I went to screen mirroring in settings on my TV and seemed to have connected it to my computer, but it still doesn't work and still says Not Connected in my computer (laptop) settings. My Dell laptop is only about a year and a half old and my Roku TV only about 4 years old. Any way to fix? Thank you.

If you cast, mirror - whatever, from your laptop that has a separate amp and speakers for audio, don't want to listen to cheesy TV speakers. Will you have to turn TV speakers off manually every time, via TV menus?
This is just perfect but for me it did not work. I have an old Samsung TV as well but not with wireless internet option. Good old 13yr old non-smart TV. :) I still have to us an HDMI cable which is not convenient at all. Thanks for the video though. Great tutorial!

It absolutely does, when your laptop is connected try "Win+P" and select Either Duplicate or Extend for it work like a monitor.
