True. This looks sooo good. But too bad the release schedule sucks. One week before Cyberpunk 2077 and 2 days before CoD and Miles Morales is kinda suicide if you ask me. I'll be drowning myself in Cyberpunk 2077, Miles Morales and CoD in Nov and will pick this up in the end of the year sale on PSN.
UBISOFT has a track record of discounting their games 25 days after launch. They did the same to AC Odyssey and most of their games. Once I am drunk and done with Cyberpunk then this will be a perfect rpg for the end of the year.
I really hope the story is good this time. Odyssey's story was bad.

I'm probably going with cyberpunk as well because I need something fresh 😊 AC will find it's way to me at the end of the year or the beginning of the next. 🤷🏼♂️

Male Eivor sounds like a little boy who just started growing pubes. The female Eivor overacts with her voice and talks like reading out scripts during a live theater play. The narrator was much better

Yeah, it uses the same concepts as Origins and Odyssey but it seems to be a clear evolution compared to them
The universe is beautiful and seems way more inspired than in Odyssey. The combat seems less floaty and more polished. The assassinations and the order are coming back !

@@maxlondon7723 it doesnt seem to be just a fresh coat of paint tho, they added a lot of stuff, focused more on assassins and changed the rpg elements into a lighter system with more built flexibility. But we'll see at launch after non promotional reviews are out

I wasn't interested in this game at all when it was announced. It just looked like a rework of odyssey and doesn't seem like Assassin's creed at all.

They did announce it will be more into the original assassins creed with rpg and new mechanics and theres no super powers no bs just amazing and its nothing like odyssey except few things you can also not so side missions they’re not forced if you wanna play the story fully you can theres much much more :D

I loved Origin and Odyssey, but this feels like a mix of what was great about those two, as well as a reminder of what made the older games great. I loved the homestead in 3, so the base aspect really excites me as well. I also hope that they do the Norse Mythology justice and don't ruin the image of Asgard and the many realms like Marvel did in the Thor movies. The depictions of Egyptian Mythology and Greek Mythology in the last two games was splendid, so I'm extremely optimistic about this game and will definitely be playing it when it comes out. My only gripe is that it won't be available on Steam and that you have to go through the ubisoft store.

@@codyever I am the perfect example for it,I was more than just "excited" during the cinematic reveal trailer,but when they showed the so called "gameplay trailer" I got disappointed and lost all the interest in the game and transferred all the interest to cyberpunk,but now...from the last 1 week the gameplay,the details and all the small stuff coming out got me that excited that I don't want cyberpunk now and totally focusing on this game!!! And honestly I can't believe such a good game is coming from Ubisoft actually 2 great games coming from Ubisoft,I think the our old "Ubisoft" is now returning and the bad "ubi$oft" is going!!!

This does revolve around the assassins and templar fight. The Hidden Ones are basically the Assassins.
@@LukeSciberraschannel The "hidden ones" got mentioned for about 10 seconds. The assassins will be an afterthought. Once again the assassin vs templar plot is a side show. This is a game about Vikings. These games are now open world RPG's. There's nothing wrong with that at all, but personally, I don't think dueling with a sword and shield and in big large scale battles lends itself well to what Assassin's Creed was essentially built on. Striking from the shadows or the rooftops, sneaking into enemy territory undetected. This game looks interesting and I will wait to see how it plays out but putting Assassin's Creed on the title of this game makes no sense to me. It's looks like you won't be an assassin at all. You'll just help them in some story missions. Just call these games new IP's. Having Assassin's Creed in the title doesn't really work for me. Call me old fashioned I suppose.

The overarching plot has always been consistent about a conflict between two conflicting ideologies, and usually, the MC's personal motivations are intertwined with one of these two ideologies. When has stealth mechanics been removed from the series? It never has. If you want to play stealth, go ahead. The series has expanded upon its core gameplay elements from the very bland and boring (in today's standards)AC1 and AC2. Complaining that ThIS iS NoT An Ac GAmE is getting old from people who never understood the series.

Of course I haven't played the game yet, but I've been watching RUclipsrs who have gotten lots of hands on game time with it before it releases and are saying similar things. I loved AC right from the beginning (13yrs ago now) because it felt unique. The one hit kill on a major target from a ledge or rooftop was always so satisfying. I know you can still use stealth in the newer games but if your target is a few levels above you, you just end up button mashing for 10mins to kill your opponent which can break the immersion at times because this is not what the series was built on. I get it. Times change, so gameplay changes too. We need to freshen things up. Valhalla looks interesting and I'll see how it goes after release to see if I would be interested in playing it, but it's really childish to see ppl get so defensive when some fans of the series point out that some of the new gameplay mechanics just don't work for them. We are all allowed to have our own opinions. The game does look interesting but I'm not sure it's gonna be for me, but I hope it turns out a great game.

THIS IS AN ASSASSIN'S CREED GAME. I'm not sure what those other bullshit advertisements were, but this is what an assassin's creed game looks like. Interesting historical setting you can tell Darby and his team did their research and more, the gameplay is new and looks fun, and I got chills at every cutscene they showcased.
I understand, story wise why they made the other ones. But I feel like I’m definitely gonna enjoy this one more like I used to

Having seen the VIKINGS series, I would have really liked to see Ragnar Lothbrock in the game, but I know he's dead, so we can at least interact with his kids, like IVAR THE BONELESS, in addition to creating our settlement and building and improve, Kattegat reminds me a lot, of how a small village was until it became a great city for a Viking king

Hmm, seems like this game could be the best AC in recent memory. Hopefully it is.
Unpopular opinion: I'm over of the whole "player choice" thing. At this point I just want a solid story to experience with a single ending. I miss when games took you on a journey that made you excited for the end. Nowadays you never really feel like you played through and completed a game because there's never any real ending.
And you didn't see the option's choices ! You can chose if your "assassination" instant kill or not....the difficulty of stealth mecanic etc... This level of disengagement from Ubisoft is meh, but I still thinks the game will be good :)

@sudha bhatt the idea is great, but 80% of the game is you following a enemy or your teammate and you have to walk it. They have no solid level design and have literally gotten this far because of altair and ezio. Without ezio assassin creed would've died in 2008

Isn’t it suggested in 2 (or maybe Brotherhood) that it is? When you’re doing the glitch puzzles and stuff one of them includes paintings/pictures/wood carvings of characters with swords, then there’s one with spears and one with apples. The clues and text and everything imply these are all PoE and that’s how the people that wielded them were so powerful/successful.

This has got to be the best AC Valhalla trailer.
I don't care what anyone else says, this game is fantastic. Sure, it lacks some very important aspects of an Assassin's Creed game like streamlined parkour and stealth, but it upholds so many other hugely important aspects that people often look over. The soundtrack is easily my favorite in the series, the graphics are astounding, the sound design is impeccable, the added lore to the Isu is very welcome (mostly because the less grounded aspects of it are due to shrooms), actually intriguing modern plot, fun combat (for an AC game), adapting the AC lore to the time period very well (though I would very much liked to have seen more of the Hidden Ones), top notch characters who I am very excited to see more of (I'm looking at you Basim), a diverse and historically accurate open world, and one of the most atmospheric games I have ever played. Yes, it removes some of the most fun things about AC, but I think it should also be recognized for all the other good things it did right.
They should have stuck with Odyssey's initial idea of being an in-universe game, so much so that it would have been called "Odyssey: An Assassin's Creed Story." they would create games in the same universe separate from the mainstream.
But...they wanted to put it as a new main game, Valhalla would have sold much more as a 100% Viking game, there could be some members of the Order there, but only as normal characters and not part of a secret society, just to show that both games are from the same universe in different paths.

It would be great if they can add a feature to change the characters voice to old english.

Excalibur doe, that’s one of the coolest pieces of Eden that I’ve ever seen.
As someone who hates odyssey, this actually looks pretty decent.
Its sad to see so many people call this a copy paste of origins. Sure it's similar, but you can definitely see an attempt to fix problems that people have had with the series.

Why? This one seems to be plenty AC related. AC2 and AC Black Flag didn't have your character actually become an Assassin until the end of the game. Odyssey should've been a standalone.
What kinda magic ubisoft did to this game, it looked so bad earlier but now it's an eye candy.

What they did is that they remove their old habit of downgraded and start showing gameplay from very early build for player to review on. When you see the gameplay they show I think its actually already several months old build not the current build. So that players dont get dissapointed anymore.
