When you talked about how you got a stomachache after eating the soup and salad, something similar happened to one of my cousins last year after she came back home from studying abroad in London and Paris. Sadly, most of the foods here in America (even the fruits and veggies) have added preservatives, added sugars, and ingredients that are toxic, and banned in other countries especially Europe. For us Americans even if we eat something as simple as a salad, we still expect a ton of flavor whereas with eating foods in Europe, there’s still so much flavor but it’s different and less strong….its more natural, which is why some people might say that the foods in Europe taste “weird” or “not good” because were used to tons of “in your face” flavors. My cousin even said that the foods in Europe were so much better, especially the bread because it’s made better.

Nicolette, I know you said you like your salad dressing the way it is. But if you ever want to switch it up, or add some more sweetness or flavour in general, add some maple syrup, or even some mustard believe it or not. They’re both amazing. And add sunflower seeds to the salad itself for even more texture, so good!
