*Just a reminder Joel.*
Saki left Nemophila. They are now a four piece band.
They put out *Rise* & *Call of the Wild* "EVOLUTION VERSIONS". Plus a cover callled *Andy* as the four piece band.
Nemophila has been pumping out covers of bands they will be performing with in Japan this summer and Evolution versions of their originals with the four piece format. Love the band.
Great band, great song.
Great band and all the members are so skilled and Saki is one of my favourite guitarist full stop, but TAMU holy crap she is a powerhouse
I recommend NEMOPHILA in first place♫
Even with SAKI missing, the song still has a lot of vitality!

What's also appealing about it is that you never get tired of it no matter how many times you listen to it.

I think the technique is amazing, but the sound is light even though it's a 5-person group!
Moreover, I get bored.
It's easy for Japanese people to get popular about being the first Japanese female band to perform at a festival in Germany, but to me, who has known Aldious for a long time, I can't help but see it as an imitation!

Nemophila rips! Lovebites is my current fave though.

Now just 1 guitar player and a bass player picking up the slack. Going to miss Saki, but got to respect her decision moving forward in her career.

I am sorry Joel, some jmetal haters jumped me in the chat and I replied back to them. They stated that I have a problem with your guest = completely false. The guy that said that has also stated that Nemophila can't write a decent song and should hire song writers. So help me God I saw this in black and white. Sorry to mess up your chat. My only excuse is that I am crushed when people are abusive to my favorite bands.
We alll have our reasons for liking the bands we like, you should never have to appologize or explain why you like a specific band or bands. A rising tide raises all ships, without Babymetal, I would have never discovered Band-maid, Nemophila, Lovebites, Hagane etc.
It's funny since most of their songs are written by writers (nothing wrong with that, but it is true). Try not to care what other people thing about your favourite bands, it is not going to hurt your enjoyment of them and they will be fine without people spouting nonsense anyway. I haven't seen the chat comment, so I don't know how bad it got, but the fact that you feel bad about it is a good thing. Try to just ignore them, music is so subjective and everyone wants other things from music and that's ok. I have no doubt the members themselves are experienced enough to not care either. But a thumbs up from me because you understand that you shouldn't have replied.

It's possible, but it might have been in the premiere (not sure if Joel does these). It's very different to Max's other comments I have seen over the years, so I assumed it was true. If it wasn't serious, you he got me.
@@RichZee777 Excellent comment and analogy. I absolutely adore Nemophila, and Babymetal was also my introduction to many great bands. I’m still a massive Babymetal fan.
Unfortunately this version of Nemophila is no longer.
Yeah, that is very sad. I assume they can do just fine anyhow. But, it is something special to have two top notch guitarists. And, as you clearly could hear here. They do not sound the same and they do not play the same. Hazuki has a more modern metal tone and Saki a more raw rock tone. Hazuki play more complex modern stuff and Saki is just such a beast. Saki is missed. And hard to replace. Maybe it could be Midori, but we want her in Lovebites.
And maybe they dont need anyone their new evolution releases sounds perfect as a four piece Saki is not needed anymore

@@rolandkarlsson7072 There will be a few female guitarists who can fill Saki's place in a similar way. I think there are still a lot of good to very good ones in Japan. But do they fit in with the others and the style? That's more the problem, not the ability.
I prefer the new 4 members arrangements. It looks and sounds more balanced in term of each instrumentation. Rhythm sections not always, but often overlooked when there are 2 'masterclass' guitarists in a band especially young band like NEMOPHILA. It won't be the case over time as they grow tighter as a unit and more compositions. So staying as smaller unit of 4 piece band seems to keep everyone on their toes which would help develop much deeper connection between them at a faster rate. It also indicates that to them, there is no one who could replace SAKI at this moment, or maybe for the rest of their journey going forward - or in a way telling SAKI that she could come back anytime.
Also, a 4 piece band with exceptional talents and work rate is badass... HORMONE is one example 🤘🏻
Bandmaid and Lovebites are mediocre. Give me Nemophila and Babymetal all day long
