Love that he instantly insist on Haruna's acentuations - most people tend to concentrate on her relentless double bass roll, but for me the real richness of her playing is the finesse of her cymbal work on top of her toms work.
True. My favorite song to listen to Haruna on is Raise Some Hell. Before the solo, when she starts going crazy with the cymbals, is always a joy to listen to.

Haruna's feet are so good she can do whatever she wants topside
OK! This live performance is underrated IMHO. Its not so flashy and the lighting is a bit bad. And the audio could be slightly better. But the song is super tight. You can see that on the musicians. Seldom do you see them so concentrated. They really need to stand still and just play to manage this song. And, you do hear Haruna perfectly, and she is WORKING. Also Fami is working hard. Judgement day is partly bass driven. And Asami has to show what she can do. This is actually a good show piece for Lovebites. And Wibo got duly impressed. Nice job Joel!

Kenny seemed to genuinely appreciate the musicianship on display during this song. I liked that he made a point to compliment Haruna's drumming. Too often, the drummer in a band can be overlooked, especially when you have guitarists of the calibre of M & M.
Haruna is on the level of Miyako and Midori and she's often overlooked as you say. I think the reason is more because some "reactors" aren't really well-versed in musicianship that they often don't realize how good Haruna is. The girls would never mesh well if one of the members was a mediocre instrumentalist.

A LoveBites song you should play for guitar centric guest is "Today Is The Day". That song flows beautifuly, its like the music itself is also telling a story and M&M seemed locked in more than usual (imo). I would think most professional guitarist would appreciate the compostion. It's got such a feel goid vibe; I listen to it at least once a day.
One of my favorites. Solid recommendation.

They tend to operate in their own bubble. Fans look for new bands. Bands are busy writing, recording, and touring.

KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD and Beth Hart played in Germany at various times last year and I went to their concerts. Very good blues and blue rock music. Can this Lovebites music video really please this man ??? Please ... If this guy didn't like Band Maid, what should he think of heavy metal ?

Ha ha ha, beam me up Scotty. I just saw a reactor that says Saiki's singing makes BM songs less melodic because Japanese language is not melodic. Beam me up Scotty, he also said he can't tell the difference between Miku and Saiki. (Visual differences - not voices) Was that a troll channel or is it really a guy with a music degree that can't hear melody in Saiki's singing? Maybe he is talking way over my head and I just don't understand because I didn't get a music degree???😮
Really ? Are you talking about the same reactor ? I watched both the Band-Maid reactions with Joel and Willem and I didn't see nor hear anything about visual or vocal differences between Miku and Saiki. And by the way, why are you bringing this up in a Lovebites reaction ? I didn't see you complaining at either of the B-M reactions.

Did I say he couldn't distinguish between their voices: no I did not. Why are you insinuating that I did? He absolutely directly and in simple plain English said he could not tell the difference between Miku and Saiki. He said Saiki was playing rhythm guitar. Don't try your ultra woke gaslighting with me: you are the one with the scotoma= you can't see racism. That guy was saying Haruna had her drum kit set up WRONG: your Scotsman keeps you from seeing that that comment is white privilege superiority snarking.
What is interesting is a reactor with a college music degree stating unequivocally that Japanese language is not melodic. He unequivocally said that Saiki singing made it difficult to pick up the musician's melody. What say you? Do you agree that Saiki detracts from Band-Maid's melodic qualities? Is attacking Saiki with that utter nonsense not racist and sextet? Wake up and end racism and misogyny by 1rst recognizing it.
