I love electric callboy but was never a fan of babymetal. I always thought that's not real metal, I can't imagine that the girls like metal bla bla bla. But basically it's 1 to 1 the same as with EC. It's all about the fun. It's about the show. And babymetal has fucking brilliant musicians in the background. Great riffs and it's just something different. The live show last week at Rock am ring in Germany at the latest turned me into a babymetal fan.

I'll judge every video separately. Honestly, I think the biggest problem with the reaction is that it didn't have much reaction or things to say about the song. They were talking so much about Babymetal, the forgot to talk more about the song. Other than say: fun.

I like that the girls are not really sexualized. Yes, they're pretty but their outfits completely cover them, no skimpy, barely there outfits that show everything and leave little to the imagination. They're good girls.

Just so you have an inkling of how diverse Babymetal truly was/is, that song you didn't like, Gimme Chocolate, well, in that same concert back in 2013 they ended with the Crucifixion of Su-metal...and it was Metal as Fuck...but you didn't know that...and probably won't ever go back and see it...and all the years since when they were working towards their 2019 #1 Album in the USA on Billboards "Top Rock Album" chart, and the years since....yeah, you won't see those either....or maybe you will. Who knows.
I have been listening to nearly 200 reactions now to this video. A bit sick, yes, but I find it entertaining. So far - every one have liked it, most loved it. So, I know that you love EC and dislike BM. I was very curious about what you would do. Obviously she loved it and he liked it. Fair enough. So still, no dislikes to this video! Regarding sounding like little girls. Su had a very good voice, when she was 16 years old. I would not call it sounding like a little girl. She started at 13, and even then her voice was fantastic, but then it was girly. Listen to Doki Doki Morning. Good singing but you hear that she is a kid. I would say that if you listen to the Legend 1997 (that was 2013) then it does not sound childish.
Babymetals genre is "cute metal". It is deeply liked to Japanese culture and media world. But yes, it is NOT a genre for everybody. I understand that there are people who don't like this style. Hardcore fans will always interpret this as offense somehow. Don't be afraid to express your true opinion - you're honest this way and that's a good thing. I am thankful for people like you. People who just claim to "love" them just for the sake of content and views, all in the name of the mighty algorythm, are far worse for Babymetal fans, but they are harder to spot.
Absolutley understand your reaction. It took a while (and watching them live) to get into Babymetal. I also think a lot of hardcore BM fans forget how the manufacturing side of pop/metal-ish bands work over there in Japan. Overly manufactured Kawaii cuteness, that REALLY works for a lot of people. So yeah....the money roles in, and the girls continue to sing the way they do. It can grate on some. This is why I completely get the love/hate vibe. I think with EC, this song/video has brought out the more fun/non manufactured side of BM, and we are truly seeing them enjoying themselves with some real throaty vocals. Which again, is amazing. Glad you enjoyed the song. Sorry some hardcore BM fans are coming for you. Heck, im an Iron Maiden fan with over 5k of memorablia and 19 gigs under my belt. We have over 700 reactions, and no fans are as thin-skinned as Baby Metal fans that we've noticed. I've been far more brutal on other bands and caught less heat. It's a weird phenomenon.

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. (Just FYI, BABYMETAL also performed "Brand New Day" with Scott and Tim from POLYPHIA in the festival. That was beautiful, elegant and soothing. I believe POLYPHIA is your favorite, isn't it?) For RATATATA, fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. There were many mosh / circle pits over there 🤣. The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. EC boys can join BM concerts and BM girls can show up in EC's worldwide 😍 Is it just a coincidence that the two bands are to perform on the same days in the same places in several European festivals in June ?

BM commercialized theatre show supported by (awesome) sessions band! EC also very commercialized both MEH. but what do i know im "weirdo" who prefers "no gimmick" metal.. with exception of the freaks from Iowa & Russia.

Regarding sounding like little girls. Su had a very good voice, when she was 16 years old. I would not call it sounding like a little girl.
