Your "yes/no" stretches are what originally brought me to your channel. My massage therapist sent me to you. She's taken your online courses and passes on your moves to her clients.
Tom probably doesn't get much out of such a neck routine because he stretches for a living. But us other folk that haven't stretched out our nexk for a few years!!! Its amazing! Thank you very much, I'll 🙏 for your success 😊
I still very much remember the first few times ever doing them! Changed my life! Don’t need them as often anymore for sure but still love them, would still use them once or twice per week 😄 thanks so much!
This is nice, always a daily issue for me working at a desk and stressed out. The camera and sound work on your videos is top notch, give them a raise!
I’ve been having terrible pulsing, throbbing inner-ear problems that turned out to be neck blood supply issues (not pulsatile tinnitus). Your neck stretch advice has 99% cured this, for which I am extremely grateful. Thank you, thank you!
Omg, my hands have been going numb and I can stretch my neck and it brings then back to life. I have horrible “pulsatile tinnitus” specially after sitting a bit then going to standing dizzy feeling too, had my heart checked and all. How did you figure it out?
This helps a lot ! Thank you so much I have hernated disk in my t spine and a couple in my c spine . Doing the nerve flossing was crazy sensation! this is the best I felt in a year no physical therapy has helped or shown me any of this
just finished a long ruck march, and my next and inside my shoulder blade hurt from what i did yesterday. this helped so much. my back and neck are always so crunchy. thank you
Really nice variation of exercises I already knew (the muscle tension during the movements I did not try yet), thanks! It´s giving indeed some relief for my always tight and painful neck (1 year after C5/C6 prolaps).
I’ve had hand tingling on my left side now for 2 months from a pinched nerve - no pain but extremely annoying. Will try this routine to see if it helps.
That was so relaxing - thank you! But, silly question from an ignorant: it it ok for one hand to be a bit tingly/numb afterwards for a minute or so? It feels a bit odd, cause otherwise I feel as if I'd released som tension I didn't even knew I had.
Hi Tom, how come when I do neck exercises I sometimes get dizzy and feel like I can't breathe? I see a neurologist regularly for migraines and have had my nerves looked at as well as a neck and head MRI with no issues other than mild spondylotic changes and a small bone spur. I have anterior pelvic tilt and forward posture as well as severe TMJ. Maybe just positioning?
I’ve been trying to relax my neck before sleeping like I’ve seen in another video of yours. It’s been helping but how do I stay relaxed while sleeping? I always tense up and push myself into the headrest.
Hey, i wear bearfoot shoes, only shoes ever found comfortable, however over last few months ive notice that my foot gets all the pressure on outside of my foot and then noticed my foot leans inwards which explains all pressure on outside but is this ankle mobility or stretching or a condition now? As now it sends pains to my knee
every time i turned my head, in each of those positions it pinched at the base of my neck like it needs to pop but isn't quite where i can do it myself - the muscles feel better for this so I will persevere - but I think I might need I chiro. mine retired several months ago and I have been miserable without her
@TomMorrison my only issue with physio is that I'm hypermobile. My dr has a suggested possibly Ehlers Danlos based on my flexibility, plus a number of other symptoms. So ive found that a lot of the stretches given by the physio I've seen aren't super effective. What I consider limited motion for me, is normal to flexible for most.
The hip does what? It’s shadowed in the video so not sure what you mean verbally. You want the hips to stay square to the front while only the torso rotates? And why is that done before the neck stuff?
yep exactly! Hips stay facing forwards as your torso rotaties! It's to help get the rest of the spine moving (especialy the thoracic spine) because the neck is just the top section of the spine. If something downstream is stiff it can be contributing to a stiff neck!
@@TomMorrison good, thanks! Did it just now while sitting on my heels Japanese style. That keeps the hips locked, but my ape-like arms are too long and drag on the floor…so added wrist flex too, Iron Man style. ;)
A beacon of hope for those who believe they're broken. Cannot put into words how much you mean to me and others. Thank you Tom!
Aww thankyou so much! Love to hear that, I know what it’s like to feel trapped by your own body, not a nice place to be at all!
Hear hear!

Amazing to hear! 😄 yes no’s are a life saver! Don’t know how I functioned before them! 😂😂
I've been doing the Yes/No, but without the arm/hand extension... Wow, what a great addition!! This is a super 5 mins. Thanks!
You're so welcome! They’re really nice yeah! 😄😄
This appeared out of nowhere. I was sitting on my couch with a stiff neck. This works. Thanks.
Awesome!
Same 😂
it helps 😯

That was great! I'll be using this regularly. Thanks!
You’re very welcome!!
Truly....that is highly effective. My neck hasn't felt so relaxed in a very long time.
Wonderful! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

You're so welcome!
This dudes a genius.
Thanks so much! I just had a lot of neck pain at one point and when I learned these I realised EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW THEM!!
Thank you very much Tom. My neck was killing me.
lovely Tom

Let me know 💪🏼💪🏼
Jenni: „Why am I not in this video?” 😂
Oh, the tingling in my forearms doing the little circles. So nice ❤️
Yeah!! I love them all really! 😂

Can do! These also involve nerves a little, should change with practice
My son walked in right before you said "nobody's watching you" 😂
🤣🤣
i fel a tingling sensation in my right arm while doing the left side, but then it felt amazinggggg, can i do this many times during home office?
Yeah could do these twice per day if you like 😄
Will the stretches help reduce a neck hump?
If you tuck your chin pre doing them yes, our forward head posture video would be great to check out!

Would be worth keeping on practicing and working on your balance and things like juggling too! Anything that challenge’s proprioception
Doing that while taking a shit. Multitasking to next level
Like a boss 😎
I’ve been trying to relax my neck before sleeping like I’ve seen in another video of yours. It’s been helping but how do I stay relaxed while sleeping? I always tense up and push myself into the headrest.
Will just take practice, overall making your shoulders stronger and more stable will allow things to chill out more!
@@TomMorrison ok, I’ll work on it. thanks for doing what you do. You are appreciated
Is this good for neck range of motion because when i did this i can turn left and right more easily
Yes if you do these regularly you’ll see your range improve
Hey, i wear bearfoot shoes, only shoes ever found comfortable, however over last few months ive notice that my foot gets all the pressure on outside of my foot and then noticed my foot leans inwards which explains all pressure on outside but is this ankle mobility or stretching or a condition now? As now it sends pains to my knee
Have you seen our 20 minute foot follow along? Would be good to start working on that, barefoot shoes take some time getting used to!
Is it okay to get slight pins and needles in hand and a kind of “nervy” stretch down the arm when doing these? No pain though!
Yes fairly common, should reduce with practice 💪🏼
@@TomMorrisonwhat a fast response! You’re the best Tom!

Try a good physiotherapist! Always good to strengthen the muscles instead of adjustments

What If I in my right ear ringing when I turn my neck to right. Is it neck tight or something wrong with spine?
Wouldn’t be something I would be able to help with, see if it reduces over time but would ask your doctor about it 😄
@@TomMorrison doctor did hearing test and all good. One physio said its muscles tension in neck area and rhomboids
