  • Welcome back! This week we're talking all about using your video scopes like a pro. I'll be showing you what I use in Davinci Resolve but this really applies to any video editing software as they all have some version of scopes.
I'll mainly be focusing in on the waveform, parade, vectorscope, and histogram.

Liked and subscribed. Great info! Helpful. Aaaand (trying to be helpful here😀) I almost walked away because of audio quality in the intro. Read the good comments so decided to give it another try. Glad I did!

Appreciate that! Newer videos should be much better about this. Live and learn!

Great tutorial on the scopes but the Low Pass filter section confuses me a bit. Should I turn it on or not?

Thanks man! I usually have it off. It tends to clean up signal noise on your scopes or if you have a particularly noisy image but most of the time I leave it off.

Thank you for telling all about scopes. I have changed "waveform scale style" from "Data level scopes" to "Video level scopes" and also changed reference levels as mentioned by you. (64 & 940). I hope this setting can be kept as default for all occasions?

Appreciate it! Yes I do believe these are kept as default after you set them up once. I just created a new project to confirm as well and it looks like the settings stayed the same for me.
