    The running 862 after the PRC is actually buffered. DOES NOT require the raw input.
    - hold up during PRC
    - press forward and dash macro
    - press and hold down and HS button.
    Once you're familiar with the timing off of PRC, you can do it from ANY recovery (even from plus BTs) making it a very strong reset option.

    Umisho is great, really playing the matchup differently being a ton more aggressive using HCs buffs to blockstrings

    Sounds great! Another advantage that would be nice is asking about options that are NOT being represented in the match. When I'm watching these top players, I'm often wondering why their opponent doesn't hit them with X move. The answer is probably that they're respecting Y option, but as a viewer (and player trying to learn), I don't know what Y is.

    Its such a nice change seeing HC actually go in and pressure instead of sitting fullscreen the whole game

      Chaos can still do that because they increased the stance drain, not the fire. Chaos can still do the auto pilot zoning if you cancel fast enough.

    yes the idea for the show is really good, its fun content for viewers while top level players and more casual players can study matchups and characters, this would be especially helpful to people who feel like they've hit a wall, lots of great learning potential, I would honestly love to watch something like that.

    The idea at the end sounds super sick. I'm on the cusp of being able to actively think about my gameplay, and hearing a lot of different perspectives about the events of a match would be really helpful. Also just seems like it would be fun to watch regardless.

Two pros discussing their characters strat/gameplan, match, and then analysis and further commentary sounds like a formula for an invaluable learning resource for the community. It’d be great if the show could feature specific problem match ups sometimes too, since those types of matches would be the type of thing peeps might look up specific match up strats for

    Hey, just wanted to let you know that the run-up 862BT thing he does after a PRC (example 8:25) is actually buffered, not raw. It’s essentially done by holding 8 during the PRC, pressing dash when you reach 6 (when you’re able to move again), and then HS when you get to 2. It’s not super easy to explain without looking at his inputs, but I hope it helps clear things up

      @@SupermanSajam Yeah if you're on hitbox/mixbox/kb it's really hard to get it even semi-consistently. I know someone who can do them on hitbox and it's some wild finger magic

    regarding dash cancels you don't have to input the motion within the 2 frames after cancelling with a dash. You can do the motion first and then hit dash macro>button quickly after each other basically like a SFIV plink. From what I can tell it works pretty much like Ram Rekka dash cancels and SQ has an older video on how to execute those. I haven't tested with GL Behemoths since I don't play him so he might be an exception but the ones I've tried have all worked with this.

      what kinda makes it difficult is that you can't plink it every time because of hitstop; it'll buffer the dash cancel but not the special

      @@thesilverranger1 I haven't really run into this. Since you're always dash cancelling on hit or block there's always some hitstop so it might be that you're just not timing it properly. I started out making the mistake of inputting the special motion too soon, but you really gotta input it as close as possible to the dash>button plink, and if the whole thing is too early both motion and button the game will give you a dash but no special cancel since the dash buffer is a cancel like everything else in the game while the kara special functions more as a frame link you have to input at a very specific time.

    I would actually adore a series bringing good players on to just play and talk about the matches. Raw match footage is really hard for me personally to parse and understand, which is frequently why I like your analysis, but it'd be great to get character specialists to really get into it.

    Class, we are learning how to take down The Savage GL and his BT domination style.
    Edit: The other interesting thing now is the drone is forcing, at least in that set with HC, to do some mad scrambling.
    Which I found to be entertaining because people will be force to adapt more, at least around the drone strats.

      It's a mixture. The changes made it so it's less effective for happy chaos to chain long range zoning over and over (largely due to curse jail being less resource efficient + Clone being more HP costly) but it still absolutely exists. Especially if the opponent just lets Chaos get curse on them.

      If you can throw out a button at max range and get high reward off it with very diminishing risk, it’s an eSports button. As examples: Vegito 5M in dragon ball in current patch, Chun-Li st.HP in SFV before the most recent patch, Ram fS in GGST. It’s not specific to normals, but it’s more commonly used for them.

    For the wild FRC + Positive Bonus pressure, what do you think about reducing the meter gain from Positive Bonus every time you use meter? So it goes away after 2-3 RCs/Overdrives, or eventually over time like normal, depending on what happens first? That would give you some benefit still, but not an absurd amount of loop potential.
    Maybe getting knocked down, bursted, YRC'd could also reduce the positive meter gain as well. Bad ideas but I got nothing.
    It's a difficult thing to address, because if you just slow down the meter gain in general after using an FRC, that basically defeats the purpose of the new feature with preserving meter on FRC, and also the RRC damage scaling removal to compensate. I don't know.

    those loops are my favourite part personally, especially when faultless got way better. the meta was slowly moving toward never breaking the wall and now there's a real point to positive bonus. also gio's new chip feature isn't that scary without the loops and I think she needs them to be a threat.

    Umisho is being modest /reserved or simply is trying to work on his close range game due to HCs buffs. There were a number of times in this set where he absolutely could have stayed full screen and delivered air tight steady aim gaurd crush loops. The concentration range nerf is nearly nonexistent when you are reload canceling air tight loops. The nerf hit less capable HC players that more often sat in steady aim stance from full screen with poor execution.

      Not really, not to mention that wouldn't make any sense, ehy would they give him a nerf that only affects lower level players lol. I highly doubt they would ever give a nerf that is specifically designed to do nothing but make his execution harder. Doesn't change the meta and just makes people less likely to play him

      @@zato-1766 Im not suggesting the nerf was intentionally meant for lower level play. Im saying what the nerf accomplised, not what the developers intentions were. That fact remains that HC is still very strong and the nerf did very little to address the concerns that high level players had with him, while making him less effective at low level play.

      Goldlewis can cancel his jump squat into a BT, so if you input it before he jumps (and I think his jump squat is 5 frames), you can do the overhead or low without a buffer. It's pretty tough to get consistent

    Overall HC probably got buffed in most matchups but GL is eating good in the MU because the aspects he sucked st the most got nerfed, his neutral got buffed, and he kept the ability to win off of one hit that he already had

      I'm not sure. You cannot really say having to go in is buffed. Even if it's stronger than it was before and it was already fucked up, winning at full screen is literally the most powerful form IMO. Even top 8 games with notable players was boiled down to getting killed at full screen zoning. I know what you are saying, and I want to agree, since I never really had trouble with the zoning personally, though it was fucked up (I literally just didn't move unless he concentrated/reloaded more bullets but in return I took a ton of chip), but seeing top players just die to it over and over again just shows how strong it was and at literally 0 risk.
      Yes, his crazy pressure and mid ranged got buffed, but that still requires interacting with your opponent, which he literally didn't have to do pre-patch. Any interaction could've been purely reactionary and with the way he played he'd likely be in advantage. As the opponent you HAD to go in. Nowadays if you stand outside of 2S range, you are actually in a decent spot and if he doesn't go in on you, you can catch him when he's down on resources much easier.

She said that before, you needed a wallbreak to really have that zoning OP win conditions, but now due to how concentration drains slower up close, his win condition is simply getting a knockdown. I would agree that he has to go in more, but I don’t think looping guard break pressure with barely any gaps means he is exactly “interacting” with the other player. I will agree that it matters vs GL though, because if he does 2P 2P 684H, there is an extremely high chance Chaos will either have to burst, or just straight up lose the round from there, and I don’t think any other character has close to that kind of threat challenging HC’s pressure

      @@NeoBoneGirl Sure, but playing around reversals, burst, FD and YRC is still interacting, as little as it is. And he DOES have points where you can beat him, they are just risky as hell since there's no way to see it, it's just a guess. I saw that video from Deb too, and I think her take is probably correct, on paper.
      That said, if you look at literally any tournament with Umisho in it, he just glides through without much interacting, and I'd say he has the balanced approach where he's amazing at handling his resources, zoning AND pressure. But if his opponent doesn't pressure him enough, he literally can just win from full screen. Even other HC players who focus a lot on the zoning did very well because it was just so strong.
      Again, on paper I do agree with you, but in practice, the zoning was probably his strongest version because literally no one (except Tempest lol) could deal with it. Who knows though, maybe after some tournaments we'll see that HC is stronger now than he was before, but it's too hard to tell atm. This video is kind of the proof in the pudding, Umisho HAS to go in, and if Darkrai out footsises him, he loses. Sure his win con is "get a knock down" but that similar to almost any character really. Ram's is get your opponent vaguely towards to corner.

      @@GriFFonRec4 I’m also not too sure how much of this clip is Umisho “having” to go in. From what I gathered, his zoning nerfs are not too significant if you cancel fast enough, so it could be a case of Umisho trying to test out the new changes instead of playing like nothing happened, and then messing up new stuff because they’re playing completely differently, meanwhile Goldlewis can play pretty much the exact same way save for the new use of 6H and drone, and do a lot better. Not to discredit either player, but it could be a product of Umisho essentially playing an all new matchup, while Darkrai is playing something they’ve played against hundreds of times

      To be fair ch clone takes away most of his health just to avoid a hit but it can be countered pretty easily. However, both chaos and jack o can't take hits even if their life depends on it.

      @@punishedbrak4255 How does giving the specific BTs a name make for better commentary? 248BT is much more efficient and immediately recognisable what move is being discussed.
      Should we have different names for all the different strengths of specials as well? It’s no longer HVV, we call it Massive Caldera Cobra (MCC) now.

    As a GuiltyGear player I always hate it when Arcsys adds new mechanics/options to the entire game like they do EVERY SINGLE TIME.
    It deffinitley hasn't resulted in the best version of every single game they've ever done it to.
