I wish all interviewees were this thorough when discussing their jobs, their qualifications, their salaries, and tips and tricks for advancing yourself, and what to avoid doing. This is so helpful!
Its simple reciepe. Get the skills in field you want. Follow the TShape model. Become the SME. Teach others that how you really learn information. Always ask for 25k more than you make for the next job. Her qualifications mean nothing if you can't sell yourself. You must learn to be the solution and if that is not the case then be a good supporting cast. What to avoid, never starting, stop listening to people who have never made the salary you trying to make, stop talking to people who have no faith in your path, continue marching down your path in a group. Stop trying to advance by yourself. You are person that scam yourself out of success no one else. Go to technical conferences, join an opensource community, and build you value.
I live in thr DC area, and if anyone doesn't know, Loudon county is the richest county in the entire country, and this video shows why. This is high achieving individual had the opportunity to take excellent after school courses, and build connects in their free time. If anyone wants the key to build generational wealth there it is. However, you have to afford to live in the area where these benefits are abundant.
Loudoun is in VA. Anything in Ashburn or Chantilly. Get the skills. DOD is always hiring for Linux, Kubernetes, Cyber, Cloud Security, Big Data, AI, and Quantum. They will do so for the next 10 years.
You don't need to be rich to get a comptia+ certification. She has a youtube channel that literally shows how anyone can do it. You sound bitter and resentful, it's not a good look.
If you’re a Veteran or Gov’t employee you can get your Sec+ for free or be reimbursed for it! If your employer has education benefits ask them if they’ll pay for or pay to reimburse you for the certification. If you’re in school ask your education counselor if they can get you reimbursed for the certification(s).
Dope conversation! I really like this format. I'm actually really interested now 😅 I should probably finish my MHA first (currently in progress at GMU), but maybe getting into Cybersecurity will help me stay busy. Also, thank you to the young lady for the specific breakdowns on how to go about getting into Cybersecurity. Many people do these interviews and don't specify where to start. This is probably my favorite video from ST 😂 #WOW🔥🔥🔥
So glad you enjoyed it! Symone has tons of info on her IG and TikTok accounts (@symonebeez) too if you’d like to learn more or reach out to her directly 💚
This was a great Interview. Your channel is very informative and has directly impacted me on career choices and played a hand in my progression. Thank you guys 👍🏿
The big contractors have resources but so do the smaller contractors. The jobs out here are 100k to 400k and then some. Find the smaller contractors make the money.
Just in case she’s reading this, does she know where to find opportunities for those who can’t get security clearances? Like, those in the UK looking for linux and AWS opportunities?
@@SalaryTransparentStreet not gonna lie, not a great response. i know your page is all about pay transparency and financial success, but some of these companies are very ethically dubious, and raytheon is one of those companies. responding with "lol they make more than u tho" isn't the response you think it is

get an internship with a DOD contractor. I just helped a guy who has finished school yet go from 100k to 200k. He graduates soon and already had his clearance

She was a wealth of knowledge. You can tell she loves what she does
That’s a guy!!
I doubt she loves it but for 275k you can tolerate a good amount. It doesn’t sound like an interesting job
She’s absolutely amazing and would be a great mentor to kids
She actually does have a mentorship lol

Are you trying to get a job in the United States? If so, before you can apply to any government job you have to be a us citizen
Ok this job is tax-free, they pay for housing, and the TC is 275k? I mean ffs, she makes better money than every lawyer and doctor
