Also, have you ever had the urges to shift to the mountains or Manali? (like me) :P If yes, where?
Kufri in summer ,Radhanagar beach in winter .
Anywhere in Himalayas
Chitkul for rest of my life 😔
Had the fortune to stay in a village in himachal for a few days. However the feeling i had for those few days is hard to explain. That simple life with simple people was an experience. I felt content with whatever basic I had in terms of food, amenities etc. Didn't feel the need for a big car, fancy holidays etc. maybe the feeling was temporary..I throughly enjoyed the experience and felt calm and content for those few days.
Hahaha every day even before u started having ones , and it isn't that far away either , Very soon!
A realistic, balanced portrayal of life on the mountains... commendable!
Nature is love. Close to nature is automatically made your life happy and you can meditate easily
This was so insightful. I think the video answered most of the queries I had in regards to wanting to shift to the mountains. Thank you for putting in so much effort and bringing this story to us. Really looking forward to the second part :)
I am a native of the mountains, and I am amazed that these city people finding even walking for their necessities hard whereas it is a way of life for us ,it's basic for human beings to walk, so city people are inhuman mechanical.
True.. Agree with you.. I come from a city though. I really didn't like how the lady is pointing out as if she has come from some foreign country.
Walking 300mt. for necessities is pretty normal but if you need walk for 2 or 3 km that is not normal. YesI agree in mountain its not always possible to build that level of infrastructure , so that happens. In max part of our country basic necessities are not available. It not something of glory ..its because our country is underdeveloped. So kindly don't justify everything as normal.
They crib about everything.
I remember as a kid waking for kms(more than 3) , running an errand, going to school from one part of the mountains to the other. And a fact I lived in a town ( like Manali) with all basic facilities. But still we had to travel by foot for kms, on a pretty awesome asphalt road. The terrain was so hard that you could not cut mountains to build roads. I’m living in Himachal and before pre corona days walking 5-8 kms everyday was pretty normal to us.
See they are not used to the hard pahadi life, so may be that’s the problem she was addressing, she had to face.
Ask a pahadi , and it’s normal to them. And development has got nothing to do with it.
It’s the strong pahadi mindset.
@@srimantamukherjee5434 pl don't be a city weakling. 2-3 kms is quite normal in hills unless you are somewhat 80+.
I used to walk 3 kms daily just attending office before lockdown.

I am from Mumbai and I also wanted to stay near mountains fed-up with the city life
Tathaastu....
Let’s all make a group of 5-6 genuine families n shift we too fed up of Bangalore
Good idea
This is great! Thanks Visha.
Awaiting Part 2.
Hey Visha, thanks for making this video. I can relate to it so much since i am also planning to move to mountains and videos wiht people who have already done it gives a lot of perspective.... Kudos!!
I love the way you describe each and every single thing in a detailed manner . Love watching your videos ❤️
It's so connect ed to me am living in mountain for two years I was living in dubai for 10 years and after tht I got bored I was always had a feeling for go and stay in mountains..once I moved to India I just started to search a place in mountain .. finally I got a small place to settle myself .
Wht mountain teach a better person, our conconscious had hightened,
More balanced ,always feels the mothernature..
Technology has made to enjoy what we like. It might be either mountain, rural simple folks, no excess desire and on the top make life to progress with satisfaction. Sharing views is the result of the same. Keep enjoying good luck.
Sorry about the audio quality in this one, my mic decided not to work at the wrong time :( (but please increase the volume) However, here's a super inspiring story of a lady who moved from Bangalore to Manali 4 years back! Being a mountain enthusiast myself, had an extremely long chat which also answers the questions that comes in ones mind while taking one such decision. Feel free to refer the markers put in the bottom of the video to know about the aspect you'd be interested in. And do let me know how you liked the video! 💜
nice, where is the part -2?
Yes. Currently i am searching duch place somewhere in uttrakhand or himachal.
I always wanted to settle in a calm place. For me Tosh in himachal and Kund village in Uttrakhand is something beyond imagination.
My parents have also moved to Manali...they too hv an interesting story..they run a homestay in shanag village in manali...idyllicinn...and they are very happy..check out their story
@@Loveyouzindagibysaloni great, it's a great place
There is babukka in manali who is from kerala stays there for years taking land in lease and doing farming there. He is a doctor by profession and married too.. but he left everything and is peacefully living in manali. If you get a chance to meet him go and meet. He is such a gem
where exactly in manali ?
Amazing. Loved watching it 👌. Waiting for the Next part 😀.
Nature se vdiya kuch nhi hota ..... Life around nature is like life in heaven ❤️
So true! :)
Thanks 😊👍🙏
Perfectly filmed for the layman to understand the nitty-gritties of staying in the hills
You are asking good questions with proper context, nice 👍
Her words are so inspiring
In city's while taking coffee we think abt tomorrow wt have to do
Now she lives in mountains, but her mood sometimes for beaches/sea
Very honest answer
Yes its not easy. Its like a beautiful nature but with its harsh reality. I stayed in mountains and in different parts for 16 plus years. Now I am settled in city area... but I miss those days and nature
Always wanted to live in mountains I told my wife once to leave the city life and get settled in HP...she told me to see a psychiatrist..also it's not fisible for people like us who are rooted to family business where there are huge responsibility on us..I wish I could do it someday ..
I told my husband the same thing. He reacted the same way your wife did. I am a good wife but I know I will never be a happy person
How ridiculous and sad! .. Hope your spouse understands someday..
1st time watching your channel. Very few people have that inherent quality to hook the audience without even once getting them bored- very engaging watch. 👍brave lady who settled here & found innovative ways to make a living. 👏
Very inspiring Amshu, ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಪಸ್ಸಿನ ಫಲ ಸಿಹಿ ಆಗಿರಲಿ. Excellent Video !
This was a fun video. From finding her house to the authentic filter coffee and unfiltered conversations. Can't wait for part 2!
Glad you liked it Eashita! Thanks for being a part of it
@@VishaKhandelwal Wow! What a very nice, genuine & ever memorable, great motivational reply.
Really a very nice, genuine, real fact & ever memorable, great motivational compliment.
This is not himalayan or mountain life. It is just living with the mirror image of your city life in the backdrop of mountains. अपनी बोरियत को दूर करने के लिए पहाडो का सहारा लेती जवानी और वहा अपने शहर की convenience को तलाशता उनका मन। असल मे पहाड का जीवन पहाड जैसा है। This is just a growing trend to attain enlightenment or happiness in the lapse of mountains by their money which will conclude to nothing in reality.
Pahad brbad ho rahe hai inke enlightenment se

Truly inspiring,, the conversation was so pleasant to hear and covering all the basics,, the best video i come across so far, the whole conversation was pretty calm and composed and thoughtful too,, thanks a ton for sharing and making this vlog.. thousand cheers
It did answered some of my questions. Thank you for the story.
Btw I could see real struggle making the video and this is why youtubers or bloggers are real champ not those insta people.
As this is making a difference in someone’s life. Kudos to you Visha. These are my morning words. 😁
Blessed to be born in himachal...love mountains..❤️
Thanks for bringing up the videos like this which gives us the clear vision of every perspective!! Waiting for the part - 2!!

Really enjoyed your conversation, I was born in Shimla and have spent my early years there, The winters were really tough then (50 years back). But love the mountains and the life there, thank you helping people (farmers in particular) in my home state. Would be keen and happy to contribute in anyway. Best regards and wishes
I'm a mountain girl too...mountains and rivers gives inner peace ✌️ love this video so much ❤️

I'm glad you made this video. This is a fact staying even in Manali is not fancy if you have been in city, even for 2 years. You have to do all by yourself.
I am a 22 years old guy just starting my career & due to my love for spirituality, mountains always attract me even though i do not get to visit them as much. I plan to stay & work from there for a while in the future hopefully & your videos are soo helpful!! Thank you sooo much for all of it!

All the best ladies! You both are doing good. ☺️🙏🏻
She is not into spirituality, just wants to spend in the mountains, both scenarios are different.
I've spent my 2-3 months in mountains. Never felt bored.

Can you please up the volume as any like me the senior citizens with old phones find it hard to hear you both.
Happy to see a Kannadathi in Himalaya!
Who decides which piece of land you can build on? How much do you pay on average? What’s the minimum outlay ($/rupees) to pay for materials, to be transported , people to design /build on the land, etc. ?
Wow ❤️
Only two concerns stop me from moving to the mountains.... Income source and medical facilities....
Income source is truly a concern
Th@ts really a concern....me too from jnk but moved to Delhi for not so many job options there
@@akankshakalra7708 just think of this , if there are no dearth of opportunities for sustaining life in Himachal or in any hill station, then why the people of that state are moving out in search of work in other parts of the country . Being a Himachali all my friends are working in other states because there are no jobs for the skills they/we have.

Madam, can any outsider buy a residential propety in Himachal Pradesh? Does he/she not require any special permissions from the state administration of Himachal Pradesh?
No(if by property you mean owning a piece of a land). Non Himachalis can’t buy nonagricultural land. But you can buy a flat, under certain conditions. Or live on a rented property or a property on lease. Jugaad hai to ho jata hai , but that’s rare and risky, better leave it to politicians and influential people with deep pockets. It’s easy for them to tweak laws in their favour . But problematic for common man.
Yes, in himachal
money is not everything finally all of us are realizing this.
Himachal is best state to travel across India
We honestly are welcoming to every tourist. But damn how badly our environment and landscape has changed over the years because of this over commercialisation ! Somewhere we want this to be stopped ! Especially the over construction of guest houses/ airbnbs. Flats for outsiders who barely stay for a few weeks here ! At this pace Himachal will be nothing more than a mountain of concrete jungle ! Shimla being a good example !
Nice🙏🙏🙏❤️
