My mom does those workouts. The dude in the vid is called Sean Tille
It's factually impossible to only eat the recommended serving size for chips
hi hafu go :>
Second to comment!!
That's so true lol
No it isnt
Your body will want you to eat more if you're not eating enough healthy food. You will not feel full or "satisfied" until you do so.
Why does Mike always end up with the most difficult challenge 😂
Poor Mike
The 'recommended daily calorie intake' is 2,878 now? That might be kind of accurate for a fairly active man of average male height - but it's way too much for most other people! I'm a woman of 5'2" who weighs about 114lbs. I walk, on average, around three miles a day, swim laps for 45 minutes three times a week and also does around 10 mins of Pilates daily. Even on one of my most active days (where I walk three-four miles, swim for 45 minutes and do a Pilates session,) I only burn about 1,900 calories tops, according to my fitwatch.
The thing is, all sorts of things make a difference to that daily calorie allowance. Height is a HUGE factor; I burn way less calories simply for being short, while a woman who's of average height or taller than average will likely burn more than me even if she's doing less activity. Muscle mass also makes a difference; you'll burn more calories the more muscle mass you have (that's where I can at least claw back some advantage, albeit a tiny one.) And of course gender comes into it too; men typically burn more calories than women do - mostly due to them often being taller and having more muscle mass than the average woman. Even then, you can have a scenario where a short, couch-potato guy will burn less daily calories than a tall, fairly active woman.
In short, the FDA's 'recommended daily calorie intake' is way too generic and ambiguous to be of any use as a guideline these days. Far better to actually figure out your specific requirements, using an online calculator or fitness app that can work it out based on your own stats.
I pressed like as soon as they were like
Mike: "You guys are gonna be fat by then end of the video, and I'm not"
"You know what, you're gonna be starving"
"Yeah you're gonna be dead"
These guys are just naturally funny as hell! I just found them yesterday, and have been on a new subscribers binge 😂😂
He should have had more snacks through the day to make sure he was hitting his calorie intake(health snacks of course so he could eat more and I hope he was drinking enough water too.😳

If i had the time to read all the labels then i would actually just eat the recommended serving size
What a nice experiment, at the expense of Mike of course, lol.
You're supposed to be going by calorie count. You can have more than 1 slice of bacon
Living for The chaos in this video
Actually if you exercise more then your daily intake increases so mile would need to eat more to follow the FDA recommendations
5:06 nice angles
I died of hot yoga
But that's NOT the FDA recommended serving size. Those are from the manufacturer in order to comply with FDA guidelines regarding nutrients.
And no one should be doing a heavy workout right after eating. A walk will help you digest. What you did will help you vomit so you don't have to digest.

Hey do you know if the FDA actually helped without the FDA Prevented drugs and
I love ur guy's videos :))
Serving size ≠ portion size.
Youd need like 2 serving of carbs each meal for average adult, and like 3-4 for atheletes? This is not accurate but yeah to can have multiple servings per day if youre active
no way 10 pancakes is normal
Staying hungry 😂
him rn: f the fda
I think the problem is, the food in the video is in high calories and low fiber so it's not filling.
So this whole time people eat more than 2 pancakes??? WTF
The serving size printed on the packaging is NOT an "FDA recommended" serving size. It's there to show how much fat, sodium, sugar, etc are in the product. Manufacturers can choose any serving size they like, and they are allowed to round down if the serving has less than 5 calories, less than 5mg of sodium, or less than 0.5 mg of fat or carbs. This is why many food products have ridiculously small serving sizes.
Cool, but this looks very similar to another one I have seen.
Which is why stuff like cans of soup (which can't be resealed) are labeled as 2 servings even though it's not realistic to use only half a can . They are doing it to trick us with less scary numbers not what the FDA recommends.
Non-resealable containers should be required to have the serving size be the whole amount to prevent manipulating of the numbers through dividing what otherwise isn't realistic
@@jcrowley1985 Where I'm from all of the nutritional information is always per 100g or 100ml depending on whether it is a drink or food. The standardized amount makes reading the label so much easier since you can just compare the numbers rather than have to convert the serving sizes to be the same to be able to compare.
Some soups/foods will list per serving and per can.
Yup a "serving size" is nothing more than a unit of measurement.
They should’ve made Mike also drink the recommended bottles of water a person should have in a day
I was thinking that to especially with little food he was eating
He'd frickin drown
6 to 8 cups a day of water or low fat and sugar free drinks is the healthy amount
Or Bio-Steel.
@@witoldkopaczewski3954 That's not true, it's just recommended to drink as much water as you can or if you feel thirsty. The whole "drink [x] cups" just is not true at all, use it as a goal, not as a way of living.
Serving sizes are determined by the company that makes the product, not the FDA, but the FDA does have regulations that allow for rounding down of calories or salt content so there’s an incentive to make the serving size very small
I kinda like the eating videos bc it's all just fun and games for y'all. I'm recovering from disordered eating and it helps to see people just eat for fun and not really take this stuff so seriously

@@smokespritez he can still go on a diet for working out not just losing weight or whatever personal reason but hey just a random idea that popped in my head
but the serving size is only really there to show you how much of fat carb salt etc is in one portion...its not a recommended eating size guide. means more to those who are, say, with high cholesterol, diabetic, or have high blood pressure as more than a serving size can be bad for them.
Yes!! Thank you!! Someone understands!!
this is honestly so helpful and good to hear
Isnt that the nutritional facts per 100g and not the recommanded size you mean?
Yeah I got diagnosed as diabetic (type 2) late last year and since then have had to keep a CLOSE eye on my carb intake. My diabetes is not bad at all, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I would rather not get to the point I have to take insulin every day.
@@taylorbritt499 same. im diabetic too but im just on one pill a day. been kinda hard as i recently moved to japan so, while i know how to read the nutrition labels, its hard finding low carb options (though not impossible)
I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the companies that make the food determine serving size, and the FDA just determines the %daily intake
I honestly think Mike does the best as the “left out” one. The others complain too much
LOL I have loved Mike's swearing so much in this video. And true, F the FDA lol.
This had very little to do with the FDA. The manufacturers choose the serving sizes to be small in order to get around FDA guidelines. So they are just ignorant of what the FDA actually does when they set this up and blame the FDA.
In reality, it should be "F the MANUFACTURERS" lol
Bro, they literally give off sibling energy 😂 Mike cutting that pizza really just topped it off
you're suppose to mix pasta water with the sauce to thin out that amount.
Mike’s sarcastic comments always crack me up 😂😂😂
Liquid measuring cups and dry measuring cups have different volumes. Mike ate way more syrup than he should’ve. A 1/4 liquid measuring cups isnt that much

@@noobdave474 great job!
you guys are starving him 😂😂💔💔this is the wrong way to use the FDA serving sizes. for example yes the serving size of pasta is 1\4cup of carb but based on 2000 kcal you can have up to 11 servings per day divided into the 3 main meals (3 servings per meal) and 2 serving for the snack to kill the guy
I like the way Mike says "pasta"
It’s cause they’re canadian
Why does Mike have a New York accent when he says pAstA?? 🤣 I’ll forever have a little crush on Sheldon. Seriously 🥹🥰
Running down the stairs is extremely easy but going up on the other hand is uhhhhh…
Thats not what the serving size is for why is there so much misinformation in the world.
To be more accurate with servings is to also weight your food as 1 and 1/2 cups of pasta can vary if you don’t know what that truly looks like in comparison to weight as you may have added less pasta than you should have. Also to calculate kcalories better is to uses a macros to calories calculator as some packages calories are wrong by a 1% to 20% margin of error. Calculating the macros to calories can give a more accurate calorie intake. I’ve had a cup of milk at 150 kcalories but with the macros it’s actually 155 kcalories so 5 kcal more than the original box number. 1 kcal is 1,000 calories or unit’s of energy, even just adding 1 kcal makes a difference. The single box number is called Kcal as in (kilo calories) since calories is naturally a big number of 1,000 calories per kcal. In America we group the words as calories to generalize it which I don’t really know why when it makes it very confusing to understand what someone is saying in terms of calories vs kcal. Hope my explanation and advice was helpful in some way. Thank you for your patience.
the thing is when we feel little hungry, we think we should eat NOW and not just a bit. but we actually dont know what "hungry" REALLY means anymore. so thats why he feels like hes starving ^-^''
Most underrated channel no 🧢
Some companies limit their serving sizes to tiny amounts to appear more healthy on the label.
Like, if a serving is only 100 calories you might think the snack is healthy, but it very far from that if a serving is 17 grams or something 😐
Its funny theyre only eating one thing a meal, I'm just like If youre eating pasta eat a salad with it.
Can we just talk about the fact that 38 degrees C is 100 degrees F dude. I would have a. Heat stroke doing hot yoga lmao. I would step into the room and immediately start sweating and be drenched in sweat
Watching you eat recommended serving makes me feel grateful how I’m not following it
Each meal is supposed to have 3-5 servings of different foods.
Sheldon is so me😭. My friends and I are also a group of 3 and I'm the Sheldon in our group
If he had added in some more fruits and veggies he'd not have ended up feeling so hungry and would have gotten more fiber and vitamins
they didnt run down the stairs lol
I am convinced those portion sizes are for people who don't workout and just sit around, not burning off excess calories. I am 100% convinced.
Recommend 6 to 8oz protein, 1/2 cup grain 2tbs oil and fat 2 to 3 cups vegetables and fruits
The recommended serving size is also for people that don't get a lot of any exercise. The more exercise a person gets their Total calories their supposed to have.
2100 is the recommended calorie in take for a man. 2000 for a woman but calorie in can vary depending on how active you are
I´m surprised no one is talking about it
I´m surprised no one is talking about it

Serving sizes are not accurate. Its only how they measure fat, carbs etc. You need X amount of carbs, proteins, vegetables per meal so you may need more of less than the serving size listed on the package.
heyyy this was 7 days after my birthday!
"No one likes V8 man."
(Me drinking a glass of V8) "'Scuzse me?"
This is hilarious, for you Mike I’m going to start taking measurement cups to motivate me. Lol
He should of just ate a lot of food and the serving size of it cause thats what u should do thats what the fda is designed to do its to make you have more viarity
That's not how you measure pasta xD You have to COOK it first since it expands otherwise you're eating MORE than you're supposed to. That goes for literally ANY starch...ie rice. You're supposed to follow a serving size for a reason there's a reason even in other countries we still have those labels, you also need to actually BALANCE WHAT YOU EAT. Your calorie intake being that low has NOTHING to do with following the serving size you picked bad foods for your day and most people eat 1 snack which you also didn't do xD Also almost all exercise promotes hunger that's not a fun fact anymore hearing it so many times when it's...not going to matter the exercise you do.
Why is anybody talking about the 2800 daily calories suggested?! That is the amount that I need being a 16 year old teenager that wheights 57kg a do about 14 hours of cycling every single week!!
Aren’t the serving sizes also small and isnt he short in calories because you’re not just supposed to eat junk food all day?
You can't survive if you just follow the recommended serving sizes and eat the same food you usually eat. The weird proportions tell you so. You might be eating recommended portions but but you neither meet the requirements of calories nor enough nutrition.
He got enough Protein and Fats (although fats were also near bottom border). He didn't meet the reguirements for carbohydrate and fiber which means he didn't eat enough fruits, veggies, and dairy that would actually go really well with his pasta in place of the lacking sauce.
Just pour some natural yoghurt on the pasta and add some cucumbers and carrots and you will feel full in no time.
There was also a problem with too much syrup in the morning - he could save some syrup for later and eat some fruits with syrup for a dessert.
It's important to eat a variety of food.
andd that is why... no one eats the recommended serving size
Since I eat healthy a lot of the time whenever I follow recommended serving size I feel diabetic afterwards.
Because the American serving size is large.
Would be amusing to see this replayed with actual healthy food instead of just junk food.
Of course he's exhausted, they only had junky food. They had no meat/dairy/legumes, veggies nor fruit.
2878 calories in a day? That's absurd. In the UK, the recommendation is 2000 per day.
Part of the problem with dropping down to the fda suggestions, you need to do it gradually otherwise, your body is going into starvation mode and the momrnt you go back to the body's memory of what it use to operate on, you'll end up defeating the purpose of doing it.
The fact that I do the serving size every day bc I have type 1 diabetes made this more interesting for a normal human being
You’re also not just supposed to eat pancakes for breakfast. Put some eggs on the side, fruit, maybe some bacon?
I live in Toronto and the condo I live in they r renovating elevators so only one is in service … so it takes for EVER… so I take the stairs … I live on the 30th floor. So this gives me war flashbacks lol
I can't just eat American pancake =(( I would rather no pancake =(
His voice at the start of the video sounded like mr beasts voice 😭😭 and I thought it was mr beast talking at first
2800 calories? I usually eat like 1500-2000 a day and I am considered to eat too much.
Sorry but I don't think that 19 pancakes is how many a normal person would eat? 😂
I don't understand why Mike couldn't have just had more snacks or more of a variety of food. Also there's the fact that no fresh food was consumed and if you're going to incorrectly blame the FDA (although unless if you've moved to the states, why even try to blame the FDA at all? Although neither the FDA or Health Canada necessarily control company serving sizes that they present on the label beyond the requirement to have nutrition information for what can be considered a "reasonable" serving size) for their guidelines, at least follow like the actual dietary guidelines of nutrition. Also, dry measuring cups like the ones used in this video are supposed to be filled to the brim. It probably would have been more accurate to do it by weight anyways though
Correction I heard you are sopposed to measure the food after it's cooked . Your measurements are. Dry/liquid etc for recipes, then measure out the cooked products for diet perposes , best description is acoreding to the FDA suggestions, or the mayo clinic, a fad diet or something the local dietitian suggested.... Complete with a guide book .....based off local government medical/food guidelines which is copying the FDA suggestions.....
@@atarasarinanetanel8582 I don't think it is accurate either. A pasta that's fully soaked with water will take more space than pasta that was cooked al-dente. And have less nutrition value.
Ok so no offense but this is the same exact video idea as the Norris nuts who made their video 4months before and almost the identical thumbnail-
The pasta and sauce ratio made me laugh😭🤣
Well if everything on paper worked as intended. Fascism would be everywhere
Why are they going by the FDA? Doesn't Canada have its own food agency?
We do, the CFIA. I don’t think they understand the purpose of serving sizes on food labels lol
