Two amazing voices lead me through the 70's, 80's and even now... Steve Walsh and Steve Perry. Thank you Steve Walsh and to all of Kansas. You told the stories of our souls. We needed them then and we need them now.

I was at this show, amazing live performance at a club called Tuxedo Junction. Steve Walsh was a force of nature that night.

To those so-called "fans" who love to cruelly state that Steve Walsh couldn't sing from the late 1980's to early 1990's; they should all take a listen to this incredible live recording! I adore this song & recognize how difficult it is to sing & play. Steve is flawless!

There are not many videos of Bells of St. James. This song could've been a hugh hit if the label would've supported the tour and got the album some air time!! Most of this album was written my Steve Walsh..

Mind blowing!! Incredibly tight band and Steve, Billy& Greg NAIL the vocals of a very difficult song to sing. Of the dozens of Kansas shows I was fortunate to witness, this era and lineup will always be a favorite. KANSAS is a band.

Morse era material minus Morse..... Pretty good actually, Rich Williams is an incredibly underrated guitarist and he handles Kerry's and Steve M's guitar parts great!!!

Kansas is so underrated it's not funny. In the mainstream world they are remembered as a four-hit wonder.(Carry On Wayward Son, Point of Know Return, Dust in the Wind, and Fight Fire with Fire) Those are all great songs with FFwF being my favorite. But Kansas has much more great songs! When Kerry said that Opus Insert was an overlooked song, he sure wasn't kidding, in fact ALL of Kansas's non-hits were overlooked.

Awesome video of a great song. So cool to see this song performed live! Thanks so much Rickyon 😊

Steve Morse wrote the song with Steve Walsh and recorded it on the ITSOT album. Of course they didn't record this performance because they had already left the band by this time. Fraroc knows that. This was from 1994.

Not Kerry, but Steve Morse played on the In The Spirit Of Thisgs album and the following tour until the 1990 Semi-Reunion in europe

You're timing is not as good as you think but better than you know. Confused? Over the last 2 months I've started posting entire shows from Kansas scattered mostly through the '90s.I've posted 5 or 6 so far and there are many more to come.Subscribe if you haven't already because I'm not exaggerating, I have at least 30 more (shows) on the way!

I think this is the first video I have seen where Phil was not the drummer.

Phil stepped away from the band for about a year. He remained the manager but he was spending time with his family. It lasted from the end of 1993 when Van Romaine(Steve Morse band) and then Bryan Holmes(The Producers) filled in for him.

Rich couldn’t get even close to Morse on that solo....tough style to replicate...totally understandable

Still a great effort. Imagine getting to play with Steve Morse, or Michael Jordan, maybe Neil Peart.

I like what Rich Williams played here for the solo section of this song. Very soulful.
