Within Temptation are awesome in concert! I've been able to see theTheir song "Iron" was in the first Wonder Woman movie I believe. "Faster" is one my favs for sure, and on the other end is "Forgiven", an amazingly beautiful ballad. They have so many great songs though, so it's hard to choose!
My favorite WT song is "The Promise". The live performance at the Black Simphony DVD is my favorite. Any song from that DVD would be a great experience for you guys. Greatings from Portugal 😊

If you want to see a more symphonic version of WT, check out really anything from The Black Symphony live performance, but for sure check out 'Somewhere" from that performance as its one of the best live duets ever. Also this song will get me a speeding ticket someday
Within Temptation is a very strong band, along with Nightwish, certainly the most famous European symphonic metal/rock band. Well done and for the excellent reaction, even though this song is more in the pure rock/metal style, but it is excellent. If you like this style and vibe, I would recommend the song "Shot in the dark" :) And if you want to hear more symphonic metal style with the angelic voice of Sharon, then I recommend the song "Angels".
This is the unofficial anthem of the Isle of Man TT races. It just fits so well with the numerous videos of the TT races. Plus it’s an awesome track and Sharon looks very seductive 😉

The Netherlands are famous for their windmills, wooden shoes and tulips....but they should be famous because of all these talented woman!!!! It's a treat. And this song? Number one in the charts material.

Hey guys. For me, while I thoroughly enjoy Sharon and Within Temptation by themselves, I actually love the duets she has done with other notable artists. Here are 6 duets that are really, really good, and will surprise you: 1) And We Run, feat. Xzibit 2) Paradise (What About Us?), feat. Tarja Tarunen, former Nightwish vocalist 3) Somewhere, live at 2008 Black Symohony concert, feat. Anneke van Giersbergen 4) The Reckoning, feat. Jacoby Shaddix, Papa Roach vocalist 5) What Have You Done, feat. Keith Caputo 6) Dangerous, feat. Howard Jones The other thing is, Within Temptation also has really good live concerts! My favorite show is 2008 Black Symphony. The other song I Iike is the live version of Iron, at Antwerp in 2012. (Had to go looking for the show, lol.) Beyond that, I will say that Within Temptation also has deep, thought-provoking lyrics as well. The best example? My all-time favorite song from Sharon and Within Temptation: The Truth Beneath the Rose. Another song is Frozen, which is about how far a parent would go to protect their child. Side note: When this single was released, Sharon and the band donated the money they made to a charity that deals with and helps victims of child abuse. So just saying, while Within Temptation may seem simple on the surface, they are a much deeper band than anyone expects. So, with that, enjoy the ride!
Hooray! So glad you're reacting to them! "Angels" and "Our Solemn Hour" are two other great songs of theirs. "Faster" is probably more of their more rock sounding songs so you'll get more symphonic action in their other work. Not that there's anything wrong with Faster, it's a banger!
There is a Within Temptation duet with Tarja, the first Nightwish vocalist, the number is called Paradise, ( what about us) You should check it out. The European symphonic metal groups are quite close and have quite a few interactions with each other. Floor Jansen the present day Nightwish vocalist (who is Dutch in a Finnish band) used to have her own bands, one of the members left the band and started a new band Epica. Then you have Arjen Lucassen ( another Dutch man) who writes complete symphonic metal musicals where he invites a great many metal musicians and vocalists to work together on his projects and creates masterpieces. Here hè gets the best of the best to work together.

Yes Within Temptation has a lot of beautiful, pleasant songs and also a lot of bangers like faster. Their new album "Bleed Out" was released a few months ago. Some good songs from Bleed Out i would recommend are Bleed Out, Wireless, and Entertain You.
If you want the more symphonic music by them try the earlier stuff like mother earth. Sharon is stunning and the band are amazing live their music is constantly evolving xx
Enjoyed your reaction. Big fan of Within Temptation. Faster is a great song but more on the hard rock/radio friendly side of their music. Earlier albums tend to be more symphonic. Sharon is a self taught singer and has a degree in fashion design. You don't see it in this video but she designs all her outfits that she wears in their videos and for their live performances. Band was started by Sharon and her partner Robert Westerholt (lead guitarist). They have three children together and he no longer tours with the band (studio only) to be home with hteir kids. If you want to listen to more of their music I would recommend the duet Somewhere with Anneke van Giersbergen from the live Black Symphony performance. Although the symphonic elements are almost always bubbling away beneath the surface in their music the albums where their symphomic style comes to the fore are The Silent Force and The Heart Of Everything.
The album this song is on also has "shot in the dark" on it. The video for the song "paradise" is amazing, it is all time, the song is also great and it's with special guest tarja. If you reacted to nightwish's gls, you really need a more rounded experience of them, check out "romanticide" official live video. As for bands you may have not reacted to, def check out Unleash the Archers, they are currently working on their next masterpiece.

But the success that continues to this day proves them right. Faster is a good example. As with Nightwish, there are fans who complain that the sound has adapted to the zeitgeist and that they no longer sound like they did 20 years ago. Sharon's voice in particular has changed. This is one of my favorite songs by them. But don't sell yourself short. Listen to some of their other stuff that is hauntingly beautiful. Sharon, like Floor, can belt it out or sing with beautiful grace.
You never heard of Within Temptation?, owh man!. You are in for a ride!!.. I like most of their albums, especially The Unforgiving and Silent Force. Within Temptation back in the day was compared most often to Evanescence.. Although both fan basses would have hoped both bands would have done a collaboration at some point.
Also, if you guys loved this one I think you'd absolutely LOVE their song Paradise (what about us) with the former lead singer of Nightwish. It goes pretty hard and yeah, this song is pure rock, its not a symphonic one like most of their songs.

You should tune in to Epica, at the moment the best Dutch Symphonic metal band. I love Rivers which is very melodieus but they also have some very heavy numbers, with 2 growlers and Simone Simon’s with the voice of an angel. Nightwish, Within Temptation.... time for some Delain! Delain opened for Nightwish during a few of their American tours. Delain's keyboardist used to be with Within Temptation! Check out The Quest and the Curse by Delain! It just came out this past year.
Are they still dropping bangers? The new album is "Bleed Out," so the answer is very much so. Another great Symphonic metal band very much worth checking out is Xandria, especially with Dianne van Giersbergen. She has a voice that's enough to turn your legs to jelly. The two bands are as good as each other really but Xandria don't seem to be able to retain their vocalist for long as the band is very demanding apparently. Always good never the less. Are either as good as Nightwish? Is anyone? Not to my mind but still. Within Temptation: an album worth checking out is "My Indigo," which is a solo album by Sharon den Adel. And there's more: Visions of Atlantis is a band that is better than the name suggests. Clementine has a voice that rivals Diannes and is also a member of another outfit called Exit Eden. The thing about this kind of band is they are always very morish.
Sharon (singer) and Robert (lead guitar) are actually married with kids. Awesome band in all levels, better than evanescence and nightwish. Although faster is an amazing song, is not their best. Sharon is a mezzo soprano and had an amazing vocal range including high pitch opera style. In other words, you haven't heard anything yet from her amazing talents

Small correction: Martijn Westerholt didn't leave because of Delain. He had a serious sickness so he decided to step down from the line-up.

Within Temptation is a very strong band, along with Nightwish, certainly the most famous European symphonic metal/rock band. Well done and for the excellent reaction, even though this song is more in the pure rock/metal style, but it is excellent.
If you like this style and vibe, I would recommend the song "Shot in the dark" :)
And if you want to hear more symphonic metal style with the angelic voice of Sharon, then I recommend the song "Angels".

Sharon is Dutch but she spent a lot of time in Indonesia when she was younger - you can see a hint of that in her hand movements when she dances in the live videos!... and she delivers her vocals on point live too! "Dangerous" is a top track! "Angels" "Memories", "Iron"..... so much to choose from! "And We Run!" (feat. Xibit)..... Delain is a related band - literally! The founder of Delain is Martijn Westerholt - Sharon's brother in law and brother to Robert in WT.

One of my favourite Symphonic metal bands. Another great song is 'Sinead'. Sharon Den Adel has a wonderful voice. 'The Unforgiving' (the answer to your question) is a stunning masterpiece of an album..
Sharon ten Adel, a proud member of the Dutch Metal Goddesses. Together with Anneke van Giersbergen, Floor Jansen, Simone Simons, Marcela Bovio and whom I might forget out of ignorance. The Netherlands are famous for their windmills, wooden shoes and tulips....but they should be famous because of all these talented woman!!!!

Another example of symphonic metal from the Netherlands. The other massive rabbit hole is Ayreon. Opera-like with a story line and top notch musicians showing up. There you can see that Floor from Nightwish has a singing sister.

You need to listen to "Worth Dying For" or "Cyanide Love" these songs are from the album called Bleed Out released on October 20 2023 and they are heavy very heavy, and when it comes to Within Temptation they are literally their own genere of music

Hey guys. For me, while I thoroughly enjoy Sharon and Within Temptation by themselves, I actually love the duets she has done with other notable artists.
Here are 6 duets that are really, really good, and will surprise you:

The other thing is, Within Temptation also has really good live concerts! My favorite show is 2008 Black Symphony. The other song I Iike is the live version of Iron, at Antwerp in 2012. (Had to go looking for the show, lol.)
Beyond that, I will say that Within Temptation also has deep, thought-provoking lyrics as well. The best example? My all-time favorite song from Sharon and Within Temptation: The Truth Beneath the Rose. Another song is Frozen, which is about how far a parent would go to protect their child. Side note: When this single was released, Sharon and the band donated the money they made to a charity that deals with and helps victims of child abuse. So just saying, while Within Temptation may seem simple on the surface, they are a much deeper band than anyone expects.

Faster & Shot in the Dark are my two favorite Within Temptation songs !
Hooray! So glad you're reacting to them! "Angels" and "Our Solemn Hour" are two other great songs of theirs. "Faster" is probably more of their more rock sounding songs so you'll get more symphonic action in their other work. Not that there's anything wrong with Faster, it's a banger!

There is a Within Temptation duet with Tarja, the first Nightwish vocalist, the number is called Paradise, ( what about us) You should check it out. The European symphonic metal groups are quite close and have quite a few interactions with each other. Floor Jansen the present day Nightwish vocalist (who is Dutch in a Finnish band) used to have her own bands, one of the members left the band and started a new band Epica. Then you have Arjen Lucassen ( another Dutch man) who writes complete symphonic metal musicals where he invites a great many metal musicians and vocalists to work together on his projects and creates masterpieces. Here hè gets the best of the best to work together.

This type of video is filmed separately from the audio and then sequenced. The catch is that the audio has to be recorded at twice the speed - yes, that means she has to sing it at twice the speed.
WT moves around from very symphonic to Gothic, and sometimes they just rock hard.
Yes Within Temptation has a lot of beautiful, pleasant songs and also a lot of bangers like faster. Their new album "Bleed Out" was released a few months ago. Some good songs from Bleed Out i would recommend are Bleed Out, Wireless, and Entertain You.

If you want the more symphonic music by them try the earlier stuff like mother earth. Sharon is stunning and the band are amazing live their music is constantly evolving xx
Enjoyed your reaction. Big fan of Within Temptation. Faster is a great song but more on the hard rock/radio friendly side of their music. Earlier albums tend to be more symphonic. Sharon is a self taught singer and has a degree in fashion design. You don't see it in this video but she designs all her outfits that she wears in their videos and for their live performances. Band was started by Sharon and her partner Robert Westerholt (lead guitarist). They have three children together and he no longer tours with the band (studio only) to be home with hteir kids.
If you want to listen to more of their music I would recommend the duet Somewhere with Anneke van Giersbergen from the live Black Symphony performance. You get to hear more of Sharon's beautiful head voice. One of my other favorites is Ice Queen. Although the symphonic elements are almost always bubbling away beneath the surface in their music the albums where their symphomic style comes to the fore are The Silent Force and The Heart Of Everything.
The album this song is on also has "shot in the dark" on it. The video for the song "paradise" is amazing, it is all time, the song is also great and it's with special guest tarja. If you reacted to nightwish's gls, you really need a more rounded experience of them, check out "romanticide" official live video. As for bands you may have not reacted to, def check out Unleash the Archers, they are currently working on their next masterpiece.
Within Temptation was created at the same time as Nightwish and together they are considered the founders of symphonic metal. WT is the trendy version and is therefore also controversial. But the success that continues to this day proves them right. Faster is a good example. As with Nightwish, there are fans who complain that the sound has adapted to the zeitgeist and that they no longer sound like they did 20 years ago. Sharon's voice in particular has changed. She sings deeper and more relaxed today than at the beginning.

This is one of my favorite songs by them. But don't sell yourself short. Listen to some of their other stuff that is hauntingly beautiful. Sharon, like Floor, can belt it out or sing with beautiful grace.

My personal favorite song of theirs is Stand My Ground.
Also, if you guys loved this one I think you'd absolutely LOVE their song Paradise (what about us) with the former lead singer of Nightwish. It goes pretty hard and yeah, this song is pure rock, its not a symphonic one like most of their songs.

There are fans who didn't liked the way Within Temptation went with this album it was to poppy/rock instead of symphonic metal but with this album they got a lot of new fans, i must say i liked both ways then this song it was the first single of the album the unforgiving this album has a couple of other songs who are very good and loved it to hear them faster is the start of a journey from this album the video clips are awsome. Thank you for react to this one and i recommend you to listen to other songs from this album or listen to older songs of them take for example somewhere who sharon sings with Anneke van giersbergen it'a power ballad and is beautiful and then a last word Within Temptation is one of the Netherlands greatest international music export groups

You should tune in to Epica, at the moment the best Dutch Symphonic metal band. I love Rivers which is very melodieus but they also have some very heavy numbers, with 2 growlers and Simone Simon’s with the voice of an angel. Floor from Nightwish whi is a friend of Simone has made a few appearances on their shows to sing duets with Simone. The combination is out of this world.

Nightwish, Within Temptation.... time for some Delain! Delain opened for Nightwish during a few of their American tours. Delain's keyboardist used to be with Within Temptation! Check out The Quest and the Curse by Delain! It just came out this past year.

Are they still dropping bangers? The new album is "Bleed Out," so the answer is very much so. Another great Symphonic metal band very much worth checking out is Xandria, especially with Dianne van Giersbergen. She has a voice that's enough to turn your legs to jelly. The two bands are as good as each other really but Xandria don't seem to be able to retain their vocalist for long as the band is very demanding apparently. Always good never the less. Are either as good as Nightwish? Is anyone? Not to my mind but still. Within Temptation: an album worth checking out is "My Indigo," which is a solo album by Sharon den Adel. And there's more: Visions of Atlantis is a band that is better than the name suggests. Clementine has a voice that rivals Diannes and is also a member of another outfit called Exit Eden. The thing about this kind of band is they are always very morish.
Sharon (singer) and Robert (lead guitar) are actually married with kids. Awesome band in all levels, better than evanescence and nightwish. Although faster is an amazing song, is not their best. Sharon is a mezzo soprano and had an amazing vocal range including high pitch opera style. In other words, you haven't heard anything yet from her amazing talents
