Opening the door on the first day but not on the second day: You do get the photo album from Kel when you go out with him on the first day. On the second day, if you choose not to open the door, you will then move into the Hikikomori route but will still have the photo album in your possession, providing extra context and backstory that you won't get if you don't open the door at all. Oh also I forgot to mention it but if you have a console play on it because there is extra content on the Hikikomori route!
