- I think this was my personal record! 5min animatic done in 8 days and already thinking of making the Thunder Bringer next. I have literally listened to it on repeat in the past 3 days!
(Little edit!: The statue is Apollo! I did not know that the song was referencing Helios but what can you do¯\_(ツ)_/¯.)

i love the little "they killed my cow" joke at the end as that's literally what helios did in the book, he went straight to zeus and threatened to go to the underworld and turn off earth's sun if he didn't do something about odysseus and his crew, sulking just like the lil endcard joke
Wait fr?! So that's why Zeus arrived??? Huh. Given I never read the story, I must admit it makes perfect sense.
@@Adahy_Bullet yeah, even tho it's his job, Zeus tends to require blackmail and threats to get off his ass.
@@Gioppdumister Just like any leader irl!
@@TheRoseLoveless Considering this is Apollo (I presume considering in God games Zeus mentions Apollo) I just imagine him going ”DAAAD!!!” And them Thunder bringer starts😂. I completely forgot that it’s Helios in the original
@Mejillustrates I think it's still helios. While jorge is willing to skip over parts (like odysseus's return to circe before his venture to the sirens/scylla) he wouldn't rewrite it. Plus in zeus' run-through the gods he didn't bring up posideon either, which is similar in the book as he tells athena how mad he is. So he probably left out helios too to try and keep it somewhat possible for odysseus return
The idea that helios' statue moved to look at whoever slaughtered his cattle is so cool and would probably terrify the other person like imagine doing something that would offend a god that isnt there and then you see their statue turn to look at you with glowing eyes and anger when before it was calm and happy.
Helios is the god in the original Odyssey but I believe in the animatic they intended it to be Apollo because of the lyre.
It's still really cool though!!
I’d shit myself
fr
In ancient belive, stautes are bodies of the gods and they are present in them, which is beautifully captured here.
@@SignumInterriti I read this comment in like an ethereal tone it sounds so fancy
I like the idea that Eurylochus potentially never really wanted to kill Odysseus even after everything
Even if you're mad at Ody sacrificing six people it was him that convinced Eurylochus to go back and save the men that were left behind with Circe. He could also feel guilty about the whole wind bag thing
@@ChromeHuffer yeah that’s true, just a bunch of messed up people doing the best they can with the hand they were dealt
@@ChromeHuffer so generally, I agree that every human character in this musical is deeply flawed. But... Eurylochus DOES feel bad about the bag? And he DOES explicitly say Odysseus was right on Aeaea.
@@ChromeHuffer I mean he tried to tell in in Puppeteer and only managed to finally tell him in Scylla and defently feels responsible for the fact they are never going to get home as he said that we're never going to get home.
we must also not forget thar Eurylochus sees Odysseus like a brother, he even says so in Luck Runs Out
Oh I like how friendly the cows are, really shows how protected they are, they didn't have any predators not having to worry about humans killing them
Just like Polyphemus' sheep. That they also slaughtered...
To be honest IRL cows are like that. They are naturally curious and friendly.
They literally had nothing to fear since they were favored by a god also as a added kick in the pants the cows are immortal and their blood is deadly to humans so even if the crew did eat them they would have died instantly.
@@TrentonDoucette
They did eat them. The cows became zombies after
Eurylochus is the biggest "Bros Before Hoes" extremist I've ever met.
But fr I love how at the end, when Eurylochus says "...Captain?", he appears to look actually confused, like he just broke out of whatever trance had compelled him to slaughter the cow, and is finally beginning to use reason to understand the magnitude of what he did.
the trance was just plain hunger. i know from experience on that. when your body is pushed to the same kinds of extremes shown there, you tend to make bad decisions even while knowing they're bad. and it takes those kinds of moments of instant regret to snap you out of it
It's like... he thought he was ready to die as long as it was on his own terms, and then the Immediate Regret hit
@@akaittou that's exactly it. when you're that hungry and tired, you know your actions will have consequences, but you don't really care until the consequences actually hit, then you start to regain your ability to think critically
@@AmberMetallicScorpion Odysseus had the same days without eating and on top of that, lost blood and was weaker because of the stab.
@@m1sh474 hunger affects different people at different rates, and because he was knocked out, he got out of his trance earlier
"How are we supposed to trust you now?"- My brother in Zeus, Odysseus can't even trust you to fetch water without putting the entire crew's life at risk.
Can’t even trust him to NOT open a bag either
bro stayed awake for 9 straight days and closed his eyes for MAX 30 minutes and BOOM the bag was open. yet HE is the one they "shouldn't trust"
@@VarianJudas5320He probably closed them for 3 minutes max.
@@VarianJudas5320 in their defense like hundreds of them died due to odys choices and sure alot of them werent on purpose but its still was a reason for them to grow weary of ody especially after scylla were it showed that if he had to he was willing to sacrifice his entire crew to get back home to his wife.
@@Airin.. Hundreds of them died from the crew not listening, not Ody. He had 600 men at the start, and around 500 died during ruthlessness, from Poseidon. While yes, Poseidon was mad at Ody because of the cyclops, they were almost home, and wouldn't have been there if the bag wasn't opened by Eurylochus. If they would've just trusted Ody, they'd have all been home, and at most Poseidon would have confronted Ody directly, with 90% of the crew safe and alive at home
Unpopular opinion: Epic should become an animated musical series rather than an on stage musical cause there’s SO MUCH more you could do with animation as seen in all these animatics the fan base makes
@@Titanusrex1616 I believe Jay has said that he would LOVE to make Epic an animated movie or something
I'm absolutely on board with this. Make it a mega-MAP, bring in all the animators possible, and just draw
@@Mejillustrates eeeh I think a series would work more cause I feel like a movie would be too crowded with all these Sagas
Im pretty sure this is the main thing Jay wants to do. If he were to have it be a musical itd be some super fancy ass stage production.
He did also mention a movie being cool
@@Titanusrex1616
Honestly, idk. I think it depends on the run time of the musical. But the first act is only about an hour long. And assumign the second act has about the same run time. 2hrs is not that bad for a movie. Even stretching it to like 2 and a half wouldn't be that bad.
1:09 - The colored eyes makes Odysseus look like a monster. Very appropriate.
notice the pupils are like a reptile as well
Odysseus waking up be like: "🐮hi. you got any games on your phone."
i like that you showed how Odysseus escaped from his bonds, and how the statue of the sun god reacted to the killing of one of his cows. i also liked seeing the bandages that Eurylochus has too. great job 👍
dawg the way that Eurylochus towers over Odysseus feels so reminiscent to the battle with Polyphemus... the way odysseus says "my brothers, why?" is so ironic, considering he'd just sacrificed six of them, and the Ithacan crew themselves seemed so aware of this 😭 beautiful art style
I mean Eurylochus sure talks a LOT of shit given that he wanted to leave behind and effectively SACRIFICE way more men to Circe. Not to mention OPENING the bag and leading to all the other ships to destruction.
@@marcwilebski1993 that’s exactly why he’s in a position to call out Odysseus, he knows the same guilt of getting men killed from his actions, and Odysseus was the one to tell Eurylochus that he would do anything to save him and the remaining men, so to see his captain actually sacrificing the men he swore to protect? Just shows how far Ody has fallen off the deep-end, and that he’s no longer in the mindset to lead the crew home if he’s willing to hurt even his own friends to do it
I love how you pointed out the parallels here, especially with Eurylochus' injury from the fight so that the bandages cover one of his eyes, it's just so incredible to see how Mej portrayed them
@@MarcyStevonshy okay i can understand this POV
but also, Eurylochus literally ignored Ody as he said "this is the home of the sun god"
true Ody ignored Eurlyochus with the wind-god, but they weren't about to roll up there, point a sword at the wind-god and say "help us"
@@MarcyStevonshy Either that, or get drowned by an egotistical sea God. Make your choice.
This is exactly what I wanted in an animatic of this scene. Specifically, the beginning with Euro's facial expressions. The maddened smile as he tries so hard to be gaslit because the truth is disturbing on so many levels
@@ilyte1 when I was drawing those frames I just thought “Well! He’s having a little mental breakdown!” I really love how those facial expressions turned out🤩
I’ve always thought that Eurylochus knew what he was doing was suicide, and Odysseus’ fear for them all gets him moving again however briefly, but it burns out quickly through Thunder Bringer. Hunger for rest is so heavy
The "we're never going to make it home-you know that, don't you?" broke me.
Yes yes! I’ve felt this exactly feeling with this part. Like desperation and despair builds and is only briefly gone when they are spurred on by Odysseus while they try row away and then crack of thunder and “we’re too late” demoralizes them again. GAH
"Brothers... why?"
_THE AUDACITY_ 😤
OUGHH the conflict in Eurylochus's expressions, Odysseus smiling nervously and begging him to stop, BREAKING THE BONDS AS THE COW DIES?!! This is so good!!!!
Dude... The way Apollo's statue stared at them as they rowed away was my fave part holy shit
That was actually Helios! :)
@@GodIsMeAndIAmGod yes. it should've been but the statue was deffo of Apollo, it is holding his characteristic lyre, Helios is typically depicted in a horse drawn chariot.
The way you can see Eurylochus struggling to hold on to his convictions while Odysseus begs him not to kill the cow is absolutely heartbreaking! Bravo!
The camera sweep when Eury kills the cow is so good. and I love the color changes when they kill the cow and when Zeus arrives
Ooooh love that part where Eurylochus was basically begging, "pls ody, tell me i'm wrong and there was something to your plan. that you didnt do this on purpose."
YES SOMEONE REMEMBERED THE DETAIL OF ODY BEING TIED TO THE STATUE! I LOVE THE LITTLE DETAILS FROM THE STREAM YES
THE FACT THAT HE USES THE ROCK BEHIND HIM TO FREE HIMSELF THATS GENIUS OMG
That bit in the stream was hilarious
>Odysseus unties himself
_Huh_
@@NetherStray *ody unties himself* WHYD YALL PUT ME THERE?? AS A SACRIFICE?? I TOLD YOU “DO WHAT I SAY AND YOULL SEE THEM AGAIN” AND YOU DO THE OPPOSITE????
I just loved the fact Odysseus woke up to a cow in his face. That made me laugh while also perfectly showing what Eurylochus meant by “bursting with cows.”
Wait...? Eurylochus acually calls Odysseus "Ody"? How could I not have realized? I love it
3:16 i love this part, that such an ody thing to do, trying to escape while talking xD. i was trying to visualize how he escapes during the live and this makes sooo much sense
I thought the crew just untied him cause they didnt knew what to do but this is way better😅
The genuine fear in his voice in the "Eurylocus, no!!!" And a mixture of fear and anger in the "WHO DO YOU THINK HE'LL SEND!?!?"
You killed my COW
My favorite COW
underrated comment, Helios would definitely be that dramatic
What gives you the right, to deal a pain so OW
@@rynahall5251don’t you know that pain you sow is pain endow?
i love how you draw eurylocus, there's so much emotion in him and his movements, and him being so much taller/larger than odysseus really drills in odysseus' "just a man" motif, eurylocus is the personification of the crew and that's what screws them over in the end is his impulsive behavior and your art shows that so beautifully!! never stop, this is so incredible!! and the color change at the end!!! so much love
It's not like they don't have reasons. They are all monsters, far gone by now. Ulysses is a cold-hearted, ruthless bastard with a single-minded obsession, while his crew has given up hope by now. They are all desperate, acting out on their worst emotions.
Incredible work!!! I love how you showed Eurylochus bandaged up from their fight, Odysseus trying to escape his bonds on his own, the emotion in both their faces as Ody begs Eurylochus not to kill the cow while he visibly turns away and tries to block him out! And holy shit, the statue of Helios’s head turning and his eyes opening was a jumpscare, like I felt actual dread in my heart when that happened. PERFECT way to show that his presence was always there, but with this terrible act he’s now there in the flesh ready to witness justice being dealt. (Also love Helios’ design, and your cow design was so cute, so thanks for making me extra sad about it’s death 😭)
I think it's supposed to be apollo with the lyre and all that.
@@indianaalbers5890it is, in the actual odyssey they say it’s apollos cattle, and if I remember correctly they were red too
@@kingdragon4114 It says it's Helios not Apollo, Helios is the original sun god (more accurately the sun titan)
@@indianaalbers5890 Oh T_T In the original myth it's Helios and Jay confirmed it was Helios so I just assumed
@@MarcyStevonshy It's all good it's a really cool animatic ^^
Eurylochus and Odysseus each smiling while begging the other not to do what they're about to has my heart breaking.
Also, that steady darkening of the screen is chilling.
The way you portray Eury’s conflicting feelings as the chorus battles with Odysseus to reconsider is so well done 😭 I always imagine him teetering back and forth deciding whether to go through with it. In my mind, when Eurylochus hears Ody change “I need to” to “we need to” he fully considers that he wants to be selfish just as Odysseus is for his own means, hence why he’s just a man as well. Lovely animatic ❤🥹
@@Somniatica Thank you! And I really wanted it to have an angel and a devil on the shoulders kind of feel😁
@@Mejillustrates you succeeded.
You deserve a medal. I absolutely loved the fight scene, the almost feral look in Odysseus’s eyes while they fight, how the color changed when the cow got killed, and that camera sweep? Yes!! Also, was not expecting the statue to look at them!! That was an excellent scary touch. 10/10, well done. Genuinely.
There’s so much amazing about this animatic but my favorite thing has to be the fluffy cows.
I love eurylocus' facial expressions so much! Especially in the first part. Its exactly how i imagined he'd look. So good!
It should be CRIMINAL for this to be so good omggggg. The emotions I could FEEL bro this is so well done
I love how skilled you portrayed Odysseus in the fight, not even one hit touch him until the stab in the back
I love everyone pointing out cool details but I can only Focus on how cute those cows are 🥰🥰🥰 2:53
My heart. The reflection, the parallels the pouty Sun god XD

That detail at the end of the clouds turning yellow with the picture of the album was a nice touch, I was searching the animation for that song and this one was what I wanted to see! Well done!
this is hands down the best Mutiny animatic - the way you use different shades of yellow and purple to convey emotion is compelling
I loved the action shots and all of the characters' expressions, you can just see the desperation in Eurylochus when he's begging Odysseus to tell him that he didn't plan for the deaths, that he truly didn't want to believe it. I also liked how you made it immediately after Scylla
Helios: Dad, they killed one of my favorite cows, can you go do something about it?
Zeus: Oh boy, have I been waiting to straighten this shit out, and in SONG!
I didn’t know the god of the sun was a fem boy 2:44.
1:26 Ody is two apples tall 😭😭
Odysseus and Eurylochus singing each others parts make me cry so hard, this was beautifully done.
0:35 I like how you actually made him appear as if he was going crazy for a moment. It looks believable. 0:3
OMG THIS AWESOME- Eurylocus’s facial expressions when he confronts Odysseus, then after the crew attacks Odysseus in turn, Eurylocus is standing in front bc he’s the voice of the crew - and his face when he looks back at Odysseus and calls him “Ody” T_T
AUUUGH MY HEART- that split screen where Eurylocus gives into his hunger and is about to kill the cow…
And then snapping out of his trance right after he kills the cow, and the statue???? That’s so cool!!
I have been WAITING for a full mutiny animatic and after seeing this, I know it was well worth it!
The moving Helios' statue has the bloodcurdling vibes Delilah Cooperspoon's moving statues have. Those creep one out, KUDOS
Also the facial expressions are exquisite🧐🤌
I absolutely love the detail of everything getting darker the moment the cow is killed
Right when Eurilycus killed it the sun vanished
0:57 it was you who wanted to leave behind our men. I wanted Odysseus to say that cause Eury does not have the moral highground he has single handedly got every member of the crew killed besides the ones the cyclops killed. Unless he killed the sheep then he got literally the entire crew killed.
Didn’t he warn odysseus about the lotus eaters island, and that they should’ve taken a different approach but instead Odysseus chose the passive way because of polities which got them involved with the cyclops in the first place, which got them involved with the god of tides.
@@sinfuladam That is true however if Eury never opened the bag Poseidon wouldn't have been able to Sink Odysseus's ships since Poseidon needed the storms trapped in the bag.
@@sinfuladamif anything, that makes it Polites’s fault for putting that idea in Odysseus’s head and trusting the Lotus Eaters
@@dragonstouch1042 be fair, the lotus eaters told them the truth that there was food they just never asked the specifics of it. as a leader, the responsibility falls to you every time one of your men starts messing up. It’s one of the reasons for being a leader that’s why Odysseus can never truly call them out for half the shit they pull because he takes responsibility for it.
@@sinfuladam Odysseus finds it odd that there was fire but no smoke, and Eurylochus suggested to strike first and raid the island. So Odysseus listening to Eurylochus wouldn't result in a better outcome. Could potentially end up worse with them having no suggestion for where food that's not the Lotus fruit is.
I love how Eurylochus goes from wanting to kill ody to acting like best buds right after
This really helps my understanding of the song better as I was so confused as to what happened after he was stabbed. Also I loved how you drew all the characters
I mean lets be honest... eurolchyus opening the bag killed hundreds... odyessus knowingly sacrificed 6 men after finding out the betrayal.. I honestly think the high and mighty eurolychus needs a mirror xD
In eurolchyus defense,he unknownly protected athlca as if he didn't open the bag, poseidon would have definitely flooded athlca
It's the trolley problem tbh. Leave the lever in place, more are killed and it's deemed an accident. (Eurylochus opened the bag and hundreds were killed after running into Poseidon) Move the lever, fewer are killed and it's a purposeful act. (Odysseus decided to sacrifice six torch-bearers, even if he didn't specify who they would be) Eurylochus caused the deaths by recklessly opening the bag of wind, but didn't choose to kill anyone. Odysseus chose to mark his crew for death. Eurylochus was dumb, Odysseus intended to kill.
Not really...? Poseidon killed those hundreds, he caused the storm that drowned the rest of the fleet, and he only went after them because Odysseus made the hugely dumb mistake to tell Polyphemus his true name, and then refused to apologise to Poseidon. Except the entirely justified killing of the cows, Eurylochus's actions rarely harmed the crew, compared to Ulysses monstrous actions time and time again.
The ending is so funny to me, but this was overall one of the best animatics for this song yet
Oh this is awesomeee, love the Helios (just red the description- the *Apollo*) design! And you ALSO imagined they tied Ody up! Very cool, same thought
This is amazing! I love starting on the damaged and bloodsoaked ship and Helio’s statute turning to look at them! Thanks for making and posting this!
Random crewman: “I say mutiny.”
Odysseus: “Did you just say I had cute knees?”
Random crewman: “No. I said MUTINY!”
Odysseus: “Oh. That’s MUCH worst!”
I don't know if this was intentional, but at the beginning, when Eurylochus stands in front of the mast, it almost looks like he is attached to puppet strings. Like he's realizing he's not seen as a partner, but just another pawn in Odysseyus's game.
Artists really do speedruns the moment new music drops, legendary.
you did so great!
"I CAN'T" There's tears in his eyes 😭 those details got me frfr
THIS IS SO GOOOD!!! I love your expressions on Eurylochus!! And I REAALY love the moment where the statue of Helios looks at the crew thats so thrilling!!
this is unbelievably gorgeous. that sword fight!!! their expressions!!!! i absolutely LOVE this, and the colors changing for zeus!!!! and i GASPED aloud when the statue turned to look at odysseus. so so incredible
Dude, your characters are so expressive and emotional, it’s awesome! Eurylochus and his first monologue/questions to Odysseus were beautiful. Awesome job!
THIS IS AMAZING!! The emotions from the characters, the set design of the statue moving, the camera panning around Eurylochus as he is surrounded by conflicting voices.. Such an awesome animatic!!! 🔥
This was so good. I REALLY loved how you portrayed the conflict and broken bonds between Eury and Ody. Also, fantastic job with the colors! 💖
I love how the ending shot resembles the thunder saga cover art, great touch
OHHHH THIS ANIMATIC IS GENUINELY SO GOOOD the desperation on all of their faces and the absolute gravity of the situation that you can just Feel through the screen, absolutely beautiful
The emotion in their voices… it breaks my heart
you got across their emotions so well!! also your Apollo statue is beautiful, I love the way it turns to them at 4:32
4:34 bro your Apollo design is so pretty
I’m in love with the idea that the statue was a little watchmen the chills I got when it turned in the end 😮
i didn't notice he still uses 'ody' to mention him, he still view him as a friend
I've been looking for a Mutiny animatic for ages! And your work really delivers. The emotions are so well portrayed, I love your design for the Sun god and how the statue reacted
also, the cow was so cute, the poor thing lol
the way Helios' statue looked at them all, no matter how fast they sailed, no one but those shielded by Nyx escape his gaze
ohhh my god this is so good and intense and overall just fantastic
also, i'm in love with the color scheme you chose
Byeeee, this is perfect, Odysseus eyes at the beginning are such a great detail, it's amazing.
The cow is so cuteeee i love it
The emotions are so clear in their faces and expressions, I am amazed.
Also, I LOVE your Apollo design and how threatening he looks when he turns to see Ody, this is just great in so many ways
OMGGGGGGGG THIS IS SOOO GOOOODDD!! The statue reacted! the camera turns, the lighting, how Odysseus frees himself to make sense of how they get to the ship! LIGHTING AGAIN! The all-golden ending is a chefs kiss! even the cow haha, you helped to raise the emotions of a song that was quite loaded in itself
AGHHH ALL THE LITTLE DETAILS IN THIS ARE JUST AMAZING!!! YOU HAVE CAPTURED IT PERFECTLY ✨️✨️
I absolutely adore this! The designs fotr odysseous and Eurylychus are amazing, I love their expressinons, they're extremely on point! I love the backgrounds as well, the blood spattered on the damaged ship, and the way the crew reacts to the whole thing with euryclychus and odyssous. I love your design for apollo, and his cows. Bandaged Eurylychus and oyddsseous breaking out of his bonds are amazing details! Thank you for making it.
I can see the effort put into each frame of this and it's amazing. This song feels like one of the more difficult ones to animate but you pulled it off beutifully
I absolutly love the way you staged the second half of this the split screen of both men doing what they must to survive, the statue turning to gaze at those who angered him, the fact THE SUN LITERALLY GOES AWAY IN THAT MOMENT CAUSE ITS THE FUCKING SUN GOD OF CORSE IT WOULD. Oh and lets not forget THE COWS BEING SO INNOCENT AND UNAFRIAD *LIKE AN INFANT WOULD BE* so you give Eurylochus his just a man moment a bigger build up.
Hell even the parts that were referenced with the animation in the livestream are not a 1 to 1 but rather rephrasings. Every song seems to have the one animation thats considered *the* animation. and this is THE mutiny animation!
I don’t know which is worse. Pissing off Helios or Pissing off Apollo. Both I feel have their massive signs of why you shouldn’t piss them off.
Once again, one of the first animatics I've seen of this song, definitely my favorite one so far! I especially love the sword fight
This is EXACTLY how i pictired this song you executed all of it Beautifully!! The sword strikes and fighting were marvelous!!
Tbh the cow was so cute i was rlly sad when they murdered him, I can see where helios was coming from :/ ( 2:23 the cow jumpscare lol)
Also the STATUE TURNING TO LOOK AT THEM was P e a k

I cannot express with words how much joy this gave me but this is my attempt at trying ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
I love the way you depict the cows! So cute and innocent.
I love Perimedes voice, it’s so soothing 🥰
YESS!!! THIS IS SO AMAZING!! AND IT'S THE WHOLE SONG?!! You did a great job, i LOVE it
it's my favourite animatic so far 💖💖💖
Literally searched for an animatic of this song yesterday and found nothing. I accidentally stumbled upon your video and was very satisfied.
Great work!
good job being the first full mutiny animatic! i loved the split shot of odysseus and eurylochus as well as the color change when the thunderclap happened
I hate that people act like Odysseus has no responsibility or guilty about how everything turned out. Eury opened a wind bag.
Ody gave his name and adress to Poseidon instead of killing Polyphemus or just leaving without telling his name. Between the two, which caused more deaths. I think the fleet who got destroyed by the Sea God have their own opinion about this.
love the fact that when ody is being ruthlessness his eyes change colors
0:52 DAMN THIS PART IS PROBABLY MY FAVORITE PART OF THE SONG-
Yes you played this out so perfectly! LOVE that ody´s singing at the end was him trying to stall while he broke his bonds but was barely too late. Very “you rely on wit, and then we die on it.” Dang
I have been waiting for someone to do the whole song omg amazing thank you- now o need a full Different Beast lol
Those cows look so cute! I want to hug them!!
What an amazing animatic, especially in such a short time! I really enjoyed the colors and character acting, as well as dynamism of the actions. Thank you for your incredible work, it allowed me to relive this fantastic song
You did this in 8 days?😱😱😱 this is amazing. The emotions in eurylochus’s face, especially during the cow scene were soo good. Love this!
Breaks my heart, they are all so tired and hurt.
OMG I LOVE THIS!! so I'll make a tiny list of the things I liked the most
Eurylochus' facial expressions when he was begging Odysseus to lie to him- it showed perfectly the despair, how much he needed for it to not be true.
Tiny Odysseus vs Huge Eurylochus (for some reason it made me laugh- everyone is taller than Ody)
Apollo's design is sublime. I. LOVE. IT.
The cows are so cute and fluffy
The crew stabbing Odysseus and immediately going to help Eurylochus up (they respond to Odysseus (like in full speed ahead) but they sing WITH Eurylochus)
The way Odysseus was using the rock to cut loose the rope, it was so on character, all while trying to convince Eurylochus
Eurylochus tired, with a bandaged eye, crying (more like that only tear that fell) broke me a little bit
Apollo's design
How you depicted Odysseus freeing himself and immediately taking command to get away, and how the crew terrified and panicking obeyed without a single complaint- maybe they heard the desperation in Odysseus voice, or they were simply just used to following him, but even after mutiny they didn't question his orders, bc there WAS a reason he was the captain (and not only bc he was the king lol)
Apollo's pose, hair, with the lyra- love it
The way the statue's eyes lighted up and how it turned its head- yes, just yes, gives it that eerie unnatural vibe, showing how the gods have more power
The color shift, from all cloudy to the goldish-orange-yellow you can easily relate with a lightning storm, that was beautiful
Did I already mention how much I liked your Apollo design?
Also, this has a lot to do with Jorge's idea, but I love how Eurylochus and the crew never intended to kill Odysseus, yes they stabbed him but they also made sure he didn't die, they just needed to knock him down a few pegs- but Odysseus was willing to let them all die as long as he could get home
This is so good, I especially love her you did The lighting
I was literally just looking for this song animated an hour ago Thank you 😭
