I’m older and have settled for a low maintenance fade, some mascara and lip gloss. However, I must give your client her props. She didn’t hide her face during the whole process. The closer you got towards the end, the more her face lit up. I see her confidence. Your skills are unbelievable. She’s owning the style and you couldn’t ask for more than that.

Hello. She does. Lol. She always chooses hairstyles that she sees the younger clients get so mostly that what we disagree on. But she is adamant on what she wants so I do it but water it down alittle 🤦🏾♀️

You do get “too old” to rock distasteful stuff, we give the excuse for the younger ppl since they haven’t bn around long. Stay safe and blessed beautiful ppl.
I have a young spirit too, but I can't deal with too much hair that I know is really not mine. I have to have it more realistic or I start feeling uncomfortable. I am glad this lady can handle her style choice. For me, no farther than shoulder length.

Just to correct you on that part, age is a significant number applied across the board; however, when one reaches adulthood the decisions are now theirs to make.
The baby hairs these days are made from the wig or weave and not from the real hair most of the time anyway. Her baby hair was age appropriated. Go girl!! Because I'm of her age and I wl truly rock that hair style. People put labels on everything 🙄 if you like it wear it. Age ain't nothing but a number. Baby!!!

I recognize this client bc she's a regular and I always remembered how happy she looked in an older video when you had her baby hairs laid and she caught herself in the mirror, so I knew that was her favorite part, having the baby hair right. She looks cute, you did a wonderful job. I can tell she can be a stubborn client lol but you treat her with love and patience

I'm sorry but "baby hairs" are for children. Having edges laid is one thing but curly cues and all that is a bit juvenile. We wore them like that in the 90s when we were kids. I'm not sure why grown people like that...smdh

My hair is thin and sometimes I want styles that I can’t get and my hairdresser will let me know what’s realistic too 😂 you did an amazing job on her , I understand sometimes as a woman no matter how old you get, you wanna feel youthful and sexy but you gotta be realistic to and if suggestions are constructive then at least think about them when making your own decision.

I like how you don't chop off your clients hair no matter what degree of alopecia they have . Some hairdressers go for the cut immediately !! Okay soooooo she pretty got what she asked for in this case but to me it didn’t fit her at all. You did an amazing job based on what she asked for but I was just watching in awe like “ okay so this is what she wanted “..👌🏾I deal with clients like her often and it still amazes me when I see the finished look but no matter what you suggest they like what they like so I love it☺️

I LOVED the style! It was flawless and very defined. A little youthful for her in my opinion but it came out great!!! I still would prefer her to use yaki or a kinky straight textured hair.
Maybe feeling and looking youthful was her required outcome. She did look great afterwards.

Very pretty hair style on & of itself but for her age it’s a little “young-ish”. At least you toned down the artificial baby hair. With that being said she has the right to get the style she wants.

I will never understand what the obsession is with this baby hair thing, you wasn’t born with it or else you wouldn’t need it, but Carla you did your thing as always, I suffer from scalp psoriasis and most of my hair is around the sides and back, one from losing hair and the rest from having part of it shaved for brain surgery but gurl I’m willing to come from Virginia to see you just let me know and all I want is a short Bob or something on that line with a honey blonde color lol

I think you should always give the customer what they want-regardless of what you “think look better”-that’s why I personally stopped going to the shop & started to do my own hair. I’m blessed w hands from God. Thank you God-bc that’s every clients pet peeve, honestly. It isn’t fair. I feel so sorry for clients that get micromanaged by their stylists.

I have long, curly hair. I have lupus/ thyroid disease which thins hair. So it is much thinner than it used to be. I also had to get my eyebrows tattooed because they were thinning as well but it's a subtle, natural look! I like to wear my hair without products, such as gel or mousse because it will smash the top down flat. I like the poofy, natural look. I do use product to lift my roots from Aveda, which definitely works and I use Mielle shampoo and conditioner which makes it poofy (in a good way, and silky. Any other products you might recommend too thicken my hair up naturally? I thought about getting some weave done for that as well or maybe some tracks, just to add volume but I want to try more natural. What would you recommend? Thank you so much and, again, love seeing your transformations! You do amazing work! You have an absolute gift at what you do! ;)
