@@Lebensmude Unfortunately the company who owns Larian Studio fired almost everyone who worked on the game not long after launch, so don't expect any new content. Either for a few years or ever.
And if anyone wanted to go for the more 'Twilight' version of werewolf, you could probably just pick a druid subclass that allows you to turn into a wolf and then... I suppose only use that wildshape- but this is much cooler.
It does not. In my testing, the predatory strikes attack considers only one hand of the lycanthrope. Even with that, I’ve found the lycanthrope is quite beefy and durable with some decent damage output in combination with Crimson Rites and some gear pertaining to unarmed. Tavern Brawler works well too, you can focus Strength and simply use Gloves of Dexterity for 18 Dex.
I finally got mods downloaded and working! That sucks to know, but i guess it doesn’t really matter. I was thinking of trying to multiclass with wildheart barb+ tiger rage and badger aspect, but level 11 buffs seem too important. Have you tried this yet?
@user-ef1lc4bt6r I haven’t tried it yet, but I would assume it would be decent with WH Barb w/ Tiger Rage due to the cleave, but I’m not sure Honey Badger aspect would be best due to how niche it is, maybe Tiger aspect would be better? If you want to be a tank, Bear Heart is good. Wolf Heart is nice if you want to feel like a pack leader, especially with multiple lycanthropes. Eagle Heart for the dash bonus action + Stallion aspect for extra health.
After playing the lycan for a bit I decided against it. It’s too annoying switching back and forth since it locks you out of conversation, and having to equip and unequip my weapon since it can still wield a sword in lycan form. That being said the class is still fun af! I’m switching to ghost hunter subclass now.
I agree, the lycanthrope is definitely best as a party member and not your main character. You don’t need to unequip your weapon in lycan form though, you can just use the predatory strikes ability and it will use your claw.
I recommend the green staff from act 1 that gives u pugalist while equipped making unarmed attacks stronger. Like OP said just use your claw attacks on your bar instead of the weapons. Finding passive weapons to use w unarmed is part of the fun
Why did they even scrap werewolf shifter as a class? It has always been in Baldurs Gate 1-2? They cut the class and a werewolf companion from BG3 : C
No clue. Would have been nice if they didn't cut it. Possibly new content in the future?
The halfling werewolf girl companion that got cut makes me sad. Her voice lines can be found online and seem great

I really want to play the lycanthrope class, but need to know dows the dw fighting style work for unarmed?

Much appreciated. 😎
Will this come to console mods?
