This was filmed last year so maybe~ at that time that was the idea 😬 but because it’s been a year already things have changed since we still see videos and pictures of all seven girls, maybe not all together at the same time, but we still see them. I also saw a comment a while back about how the Last Evaluation is actually a show to show fans how baby monster came to be so it’s a show to showcase the journey to debut AS a SEVEN MEMBER group!!!?? With the idea of how it is supposedly supposed to be a 5 member group but as they went on YG accepted that these girls are meant to be together as 7 not 5. Hopefully that makes sense😅

We know this because he says "the final members of Babymonster will be announced on May 12th which is 2 weeks from NOW" The operative word of "NOW" is supposed to tell us (the viewer) that this is a recent clip from YG that had been very recently added to the end of this Last Evaluation video episode. I think that they want us to think that they are keeping all 7 of them around, BUT ONLY up until the announcement on May 12th when they announce who the chosen members will be. It would be at that point then that they could let the ones that weren't chosen as members to leave. If this is what they're thinking, then it doesn't matter if we've seen all these recent pictures and videos of all 7 members together up until now. 😮 YG is actually giving the impression that we as viewers can influence the final members that he will eventually choose for Babymonster. It is as if he is gauging our reactions to all these Babymonster videos they've released to help him then determine the number of members and which of them he will end up choosing. Ultimately, I think YG will announce that all 7 will be members. Well at least I hope so.
...every kpop competition show gets audience attached to the competitors though and usually some people gotta be cut. Maybe I've just been around the block too often with these type of shows and now see things from a bigger picture than I used to but sometimes it is better for the team in the long run to not have as many members.

My guess is that YG is going to announce the 5 as Haram, Ahyeon, Ruka, Chiquita, and Rora(they were also the only five that spoke at the end of this episode). And then he's gonna be like "And Asa and Pharita too" because at the end of the teaser 2 clip, the camera was focusing on both Asa and Pharita crying (happy tears, I think).

Honestly, I can see him taking AHYEON out and making her a solo artist. When she came in for the last notes of Scars to Your Beautiful she was the only person on my mind and it felt like she changed the level of the song in 3 seconds all on her own. Vocally, she's more like an Ailee. But being a solo artist is pretty lonely and I'd feel bad for these girls if anyone got pulled like that after experiencing the energy of a team.

Babymoster are all Rounders. The most talented 4th gen gg for me. And they all dance like Leejung, but im not complainin. I love it. They dance so powerful 🔥
@@miski9162 5th gen technically starts in 2024-2025. If we go by the 7 year rule that most people seem to think is the 7-year curse. So BABYMONSTER will most likely be considered 4th gen or 4.5 since it is kind of a transition between 4th and 5th gen.
Don't worry guys, the fans will always be stronger no matter what. I strongly think it's a joke and I hope so and that they will all debut together. And even if on May 12 there are only 5 members, we the fans can shake things up if we want like for example for Felix and Lee Know in Straykids (thanks to the fans, JYP accepted them in the group). In the introduction vids, they talk abt how pharita looks like a Disney character so I think she is the visual, pharita is lead/ sub vocalist, ruka is FS the main dancer, asa is main rapper, haram is prolly gon be main vocalist, and chiquita could be a sub vocalist and possibly co-center but gets a lot of lines bc of her stage presence, ahyeon is most def center,

I was watching Sister Make Waves, and Jessica Jung (ex SNSD) said that the best number for a group is an odd number. Reason being, it is easy to have a centre during the formation. BP project had 9 trainees and whittled down to 5. Not sure if it is true, but Miyeon (Gidle) was the fifth member. She was alleged to be dating and hence was terminated.
Like he said, it’s not about anyone being bad or better. They’re all amazing. It’s about the combination of skills and also personas. I love all 7 of them, but you know, one of the reasons I love BLACKPINK so much is that there are only 4 members and each of them gets to shine so much and it feels more intimate with fans. When you have 7, each member only gets a couple of lines per song. But I do love all 7 of these girls. I’d be happy to see all of them, but I totally get his logic for cutting it down to 5. Again, not necessarily based on who is better than who, but the chemistry and personas.
I agree with you! It's not about how talented they are individually because they really are insane, it's about making a killer group. 5 is a good number and to me they really are talented but I can't see them as a group yet. Like they used to say Blackpink was insane because they started to work as a group really fast when they were trainees, all of them got to be important in the group with a particular position.

I completely agree with you. Their trainee years will be their easiest, carefree years, but also the only years to develop those talents. Once they debut, time is limited for self care and development.

YG is not looking for a squad of “perfect” dancers / singers. he’s looking for a squad of performers who radiate the iconic YG energy and label’s style. i think they all have it but i understand why he’s looking for the best of the best. it’s because he had never put out a weak or mediocre group.

It does seem like YG knows that they work well together. Like when you see the rap line together (Rukasa) and they feed off each other. Or how the vocals between almost any combination of the singers (Haram, Ahyeon, Pharita, Rora, or Chiquita) can harmonize vocals that is some of the best in the music industry (not just K-pop). It should be 7 since it seems that they are better together then just being a 5 member group.

Bris, I would never drop any of them. But YG has his own vision, and I trust his vision. I mean BIGBANG, 2NE1, WINNER, iKON, BLACKPINK, and TREASURE was made from his vision. That's enough reason for me to just trust and rely on his decision, cause he knows best.
I personally think 4 is the right amount in a group, fair lines, screen time and you can focus with only 4 BUT Its their fault to introduce me to a multi talented trainees and now I love them as 7. Now debute them all.

Yang Hyun-suk is genius interm of business move. He took all the heat/hate to maximize public attention (as always). It's a clip that makes tears flow. Everyone has a dream. And a lot of effort to get to this point Everyone is good and very good. For me, I think all members are capable enough to get Debiw. I want all 7 people to get it. .. But I like Chiquita the most. I like her efforts because she comes later and is the youngest. The pressure must be more than others. There is little time to train. Many things may not know. Not yet refined enough But when it's time to perform She always try to do her best and do well every round. Not faint, not drop and not covered at all

Like he said, it’s not about anyone being bad or better. They’re all amazing. It’s about the combination of skills and also personas. I love all 7 of them, but you know, one of the reasons I love BLACKPINK so much is that there are only 4 members and each of them gets to shine so much and it feels more intimate with fans. When you have 7, each member only gets a couple of lines per song. But I do love all 7 of these girls. I’d be happy to see all of them, but I totally get his logic for cutting it down to 5. Again, not necessarily based on who is better than who, but the chemistry and personas.

It's not about how talented they are individually because they really are insane, it's about making a killer group. 5 is a good number and to me they really are talented but I can't see them as a group yet. Like they used to say Blackpink was insane because they started to work as a group really fast when they were trainees, all of them got to be important in the group with a particular position.

It does seem like YG knows that they work well together. Like when you see the rap line together (Rukasa) and they feed off each other. Or how the vocals between almost any combination of the singers (Haram, Ahyeon, Pharita, Rora, or Chiquita) can harmonize vocals that is some of the best in the music industry (not just K-pop). It should be 7 since it seems that they are better together then just being a 5 member group.

Yeah. The idea YG would promote trainees, get them popular and get a fan base for them and then cut them so someone else could capitalize on it is ludacris. The only scenario that makes sense is they actually do cut 2 members is if those 2 members are joining the blacklabels girl group so that talent will at least stay in house.

Even if they won't all debut in BABYMONSTER it doesn't mean the others 2 will get lost along the way, will remain in YG's orbit and could be part of the project of the new THEBLACKLABEL girlgroup!
