The only reason the current timeline isn't like his is bc he came back in time. He is the driving point of the dragon ball series technically speaking

@@solomonsanabria7092 First I wanna say base Naruto is the best and Shippuden falls off a bit but nearly ever fight is won with strategy over power. Also setting up the your moves took strategy. Let’s take the og Chuning exams arc, for example. Every single fight ppl struggled to get things off their opponents wouldn’t just let them.
Kiba felt way superior to Naruto but still blitzed him and wouldn’t give him even a second to make shadow clones. Naruto had to buy time by farting in Kiba’s face which ducked him up bc his hyper sensitive nose 😂
Ino cut off her hair dramatically and fought like she’d snapped but the whole time she was actually sending charka through it to snare Sakura to buy enough time get off her win con move.
Later when Sasuke versus Gaara, Gaara is losing and retreats into his sand ball. Immediately Sasuke is like “Idk what you’re doing in there but… Chidori! This actually fucked Gaara up and interrupted his tailed transformation…
Same with the 3rd’s fight. He had to let himself get run through to physically grab orochimaru and get off the reaper death seal. Speaking of reaper seals Minato had to literally sacrifice his wife to hold down the 9 tails long enough to get off the reaper seal.
You get the point. There’s almost no fights where ppl can causally do whatever moves they want, they have to REALLY plan, strategize, and work to pull it off.

Feelings are only stopping trunks if the stakes are lower. But this, this was all of his life’s trauma and brutal scenes he’d gone through coming to life again. No way feelings were bout to stop him.

Dragon ball really did the two saiyans with the most potential so dirty. I always thought King Cold was gonna be a problem just based off his size and the way he was so casual around Freiza. So Trunks coming out the blue, and smoking the previous main villain AND his dad I really was drawn to the badass teenager super saiyan with a sword… only for him to get completely hoed on screen just as much as his father. They let both Trunks & Gohan surpass their fathers, and then even as Gohan grew past Goku again in the Buu saga he still was an L
The issue is they have the potential physically but not mentally. Take Gohan's physical potential and Goku's will that's one unstoppable fighter
@@marioandultrachap I’d have to disagree slightly. Imo their issue is lack of experience. If you look at Trunks for example, it’s safe to assume after the Buu saga, he didn’t pick up his training when returning to his timeline. In all fairness, there was nobody left to train with so you could use that as his reason, but we’ve seen both Goku & Vegeta go off and train on other planets or even empty lands on earth and grow their power. Gohan stopped his training as well, but it seems although his battle power dropped lower than Trunks in their own respective ways, it takes significantly less time for Gohan to pick back up than Trunks. And yet they both have surpassed their fathers essentially through pure emotions (and plot). They’re both smart individuals and when I’m peak shape have shown that their battle iq alone can get them through tough fights. But keeping up that training and staying in shape has clearly worked against them, and in doing so halted their experience. They both got too lax in assuming they’d face no more trouble as long as their fathers are available. But I definitely see why you’d say that.

@@daviontaeparker2173 this is true, Goku had million of battles thru his childhood to his late teens.. same with Vegeta.. Trunks and Gohan wasn't on the same type of lifestyle, their father's grew up in.
@@daviontaeparker2173must remember once he returned he had to kill babidi and dabura immediately. Not only that but he also had to deal with Goku black immediately after he killed dabura babidi and pre hatched Buu. He was in relentless battles no time to train at all .
