I am from Sydney and visiting LA now and I think it looks better and safer now than 10 years ago. I remember visiting around 8 years ago, and it was so dodgy and so many streets full of tents. I think the city is cleaning itself up.
Please keep up to date with what’s going on in your own Country. I live in Australia and am aware of the continued downward spiral of the US. Most stores along Rodeo Drive, Santa Monica and Downtown LA are permanently closed, post pandemic, due to increased lawlessness, theft, high rents and the rising economy including online shopping preferences. Too, both Sunset and Hollywood Blvd are filthy and drug infested. Please keep up with current affairs and get with the programme.
