    Nanami dying and Mei Mei surviving is used to show how egotistical people "win" in jujutsu and people like nanami die. Mei mei leaves as soon as she might die and nanami continues pushing deeper into shibuya instead of retreating (nanami WOULD have survived if he went back to shoko to heal).
    This is a general theme throughout the story with people like hakari, kenjaku and sukuna being stronger than people like tengen, jogo and gojo

    I would like to inquire about the feats of Mihawk. Additionally, could you provide an explanation as to why Shanks may not have used Haki at that particular moment when Luffy was present? I find it amusing to consider Shanks as a snitch, just as it is humorous to imagine Mihawk claiming to have painted his sword.

      The biggest problem with Mihawk is that most of his strength come from statements from other characters and Oda himself because of his lack of screentime, so really, all we have to work off of are his showings in Marineford and him thrashing Don Krieg's entire fleet. On one hand, he doesn't have too many feats to begin with, but since we know that he wasn't particularly trying in those feats, the word of the author's really all we have to go off, which is also why people love calling him a bum. Personally, I think he lives up to the hype in-universe considering how badly he washed pre-timeskip Zoro, and admittedly, I just think he looks cool.
      As for Shanks not using haki before getting his arm ripped off, the easiest explanation is that Oda just didn't think up haki as a concept at the time, which makes retroactively makes Shanks being one of the strongest users of haki in the universe a lot funnier since he couldn't defend himself against the sea king, resulting in people making headcanons to explain why it happened to begin with. Some people say that Shanks only had Conqueror's Haki and hadn't learned Armament Haki yet, which would explain how he scared it off but still lost his arm. Some people say he was trying to teach Luffy the importance of sacrifice on the road to becoming the pirate king, which is the explanation that I like more, but really, the official reason is probably just that Haki just wasn't a part of the story yet and Oda didn't think that far ahead.

    MHA is such an interesting story with amazing characters. I truly wish more people gave it the respect it deserves. You got any stand out quicks, characters, designs or moments?

      Love Mirio's Permeation, I always like it when intangibility is portrayed more offensively and the idea that he can't breathe, see, or be completely aware of he is while intangible not only doubles as a neat way of balancing the quirk, but also helps illustrate just how cracked he is with it. Strongarm (Rappa), Slide and Glide (Koichi from Vigilantes), and Overclock (also from Vigilantes) are also personal favorites.

      @HeavensBasement-fw1gy Yeah, Mirio is by far one of the best things to come out of MHA. Also just read vigilantes, and damn was is awesome. The quirks, the fights, and the connections made it feel so alive.

    I’m not gonna catch up with jjk cause I wanna read the volumes when they come out but can someone explain to me what the agenda point is about in the video?

    • @HeavensBasement-fw1gy
      @HeavensBasement-fw1gy  Месяц назад +2

      TL;DR: people have a tendency to defend the things they like, which in the case of anime and manga, often means their favorite characters. Therefore, when something they don't like happens to a character they do like, they get defensive, and when something bad happens to a character they don't like, they call them bums, resulting in agenda.
      It's less about JJK and more of a general anime/manga community thing, but it happens a lot in the JJK community, hence why I made the vid.

      @@HeavensBasement-fw1gy I mostly feel a strange thing around manga nowadays that people have a negative agenda around almost everything. My hero’s ending for example and even though I’m not up to date with jjk I’ve heard it gets a lot of flack right now. Most of the arguments for the my hero ending being bad sound like they come from people that don’t understand the characters. Also I’ve heard people just call characters frauds as soon as they don’t live up to what they expect or something? Just weird stuff all around

      @@HeavensBasement-fw1gy oh wait I see in the comment you wrote. You meant to say bad happens to characters they don’t like they call them bums right? Cause you had a typo where it said do like

      @HeavensBasement-fw1gy  Месяц назад +1

      Yuuup, meant to type don't but forgot the other half of the word. Anyway, might be doing a video on hype culture as a sequel to this one whenever I get the time, mostly 'cause people nowadays get so caught up in the hype that they forget to look at things more in-depth.

      @@justasinglesummon3912 anime is more popular now but most people dont actually read mangas which lead to people parroting whatever they heard someone who did read the manga had to say, even if its wrong. Basically just Propaganda
