By far the best video on the void gauntlet I've seen so far, good stuff. I'm still working on trying all the weapons out on live, just switched to ice gauntlet and fire staff today from Bow and spear to try something different. Will try healing staff and void gauntlet once the VG hits live. Might even work on leveling the healing staff some before it hits. Range dmg option; Great (AOE) pve option -Great (off)tank build with AOE CC and debuffs -Low damage but then again, the debuffs and CC are good enough as it is. Sword and shield: Void gauntlet might be the best offhand for tanks imo since the dmg/healing matters less again. Range for pulling, cc for peeling -Selfbuff while debuffing a target -standing on point with all the debuffs in pvp, taunted mobs will remain in the debuffs as well. Hatchet: berserker on dmging debuff-auras while enemies have decreased heals... CC and range added. -Strong pairing since berserk is crazy powerful as it is -unkillable, bonus dmg at low health stack with eachother. -stacking heal reductions and other debuffs, infectedthrow is buffed on PTR. Love theorycrafting in this game
Well you've done it again my friend, saved another in my builds playlist. Enjoying my paladin a little too much to care about switching (mainly because I'm geared to the 9s, and don't want to refarm)
For healing balance and to separate pvp from pve they should add more healing reduction debuffs to the melee weapons. The single target abilities could reduce healing by a flat percentage and not stack. They could then adjust these values to balance the amount of healing done based on the current meta damage output to keep healing relevant.
always love your builds. i was so excited to see the void gauntlet being released on PTR then i saw your vid and i had to watch it. definitely going to be rocking the void gauntlet life staff.. just deciding on if i want the tankiness or go for the little extra damage and healing since my name in game is healsforyou.. dont particularly want to break the name since there is no name change
Awesome guide.. and that short after PTR release, well done. I just want to say that even if you would go much higher then 150 int, you wouldnt have much more dmg with void gauntles because of diminishing returns. After 150 int, you scale better with focus until you hit 100 fokus and the diminishing returns starts here also, then you can switch back to stack int, if you have many points left, but as you did.. for pvp constitution is the way to go then. Greetings.
Couple of things - Void Blade has a block that replaces the HP to Mana while the sword is out. Orb of Decay has a few bugs, including just not firing off, not returning the healing it should, and has a medium range at best. Also there is a stat scale issue with VG that needs to be sorted. - The comments about having 20% less healing (also ignoring the 3 second nerf to sacred ground)... are opinions purely based on PvP. Life Staff is getting nerfed into the ground when it comes to PvE, more so if to take into account that single target heals are garage in New World.
Agree with that ever patch they nerf healing by roughly 20-30% at some point you will require 2 healers for some PvE content because of that. They problem they have build into their game is the lack of differentiation been PvP and PvE balancing options.
They really just need to make it more PvP focused. They are falling into the same issue eso had when they tried to make an elder scrolls DAoC but couldn't keep the Skyrim crowd around. But in this game I'd rather see pve take a hit because as much as pve players feel like their content gets nerfed alot in gaming, it's actually the opposite. The PvP takes such a hit it's not enjoyable from a skill perspective. This patch was the opposite I thought they would have done for balance. They really needed more healing weapons that do different types of healing so they can split the staff's power across additional interesting designs.
I was playing sword/oblivion/tether after dueling for a little over an hour I only lost to bow users and occasionally I’d lose to scream. Oblivion is fantastic zoner, id use it defensively, if they stay I can Zerg them or if they run I swap LS and heal back up. Tethers range is actually pretty long too but it is a massive hit missing. LOVE the VG so far!
The numbers may (read: likely) be nerfed, but the mechanics will remain the same. It is still going to be a tanky melee/ranged/dps/healer hybrid. The less output one has with the Void Gauntlet, due to obvious upcoming nerfs, just means a relative larger dependence on the Life Staff. I am happy to see all the RUclipsrs putting out Void Gauntlet content. It will help the Devs with damage/healing tuning (assuming they actually watch the RUclipsrs), and it will help build momentum for continuing to grow the game in general.
@Lemoni I came up with the exact same build but went 200 foc, 100 int and 100 con. I also would be interested to know your take on not having grit for PvE as I've not gotten a lot of time to test as running up to shattered mountains is a pain in the butt but plan on doing it this weekend when i'm off work to test on the elites solo.
Great video! Is this video mainly for dps purposes or is it also a good guide for ppl who want to heal in parties (like expeditions)? Or both? Since there will be less points put into focus and more into intelligence. I like to heal in parties but would also like to do decent damage when i go solo in the open world.
Probably be nurfed but still will be fun to try it. Thanks for guide. Been trying everything, used a lot of your builds. At 42 respecs are cheap. Fav for enjoyment of pve play so far is strength/con sword tank based build with a hammer. Wife bow/hatchet char does ALL the dps 🤣
any reason you didn't go orb of protection? Starting out with an extra 10% fortify for 20-30 seconds on top of the 30% you get from the VG skills seems like it would help mitigate more incoming damage and thus need less healing, which would also conserve mana for more vg goodness.
Its okay. It's good 1v1 because healing is kinda stupid right now and this just gives an opportunity to deal damage on top of it, but in normal pvp scenarios you will not be able to put out the damage due to lack of grit. 1vX its no viable at all. For PvE however it seems to be great.
Bringing this thing to a war is basically throwing as well. This is a PVE and 1v1 Monster. The lack of mobility and counter CC like LS/GA or LS/WH or LS/IG is way too good to keep you alive and stun/get out.
@@VanguardX in war it can be used to protect the backline - actually not a bad call. Its more of a utility weapon. Dont get me wrong, still dont think its any good, but it will have its uses.
@@LemoniGames that’s very true! Going lifestaff is great but at least now if you go all focus you can have another weapon scale as well. Rather then having to go focus, con, and a little of your secondary. Great video by the way!
I would say yes - if you don't care for damage as you are mainly healing. You could use VG for some further HOT (Essence Rupture) and in order to maintain mana with harvesting essence. But just as you I am curious for Lemoni's thoughts on this. With VG I think PvP/PvE Healing Guides might need a remake :D.
Lovely video! Thanks for the build it looks amazing, very excited for the void gauntlet. Do you think it’ll be able to work with the sword nicely? Attack sword/defense sword
Hey! Just wanted to point out that detonating the orb while its still in damage form will give you an extra stack for anihilation ultimate so that way you can get 2 stacks (1 for contact dmg and 1 for detonate dmg) with 1 orb. Might be worth considering. 32:15 Escape from Tarkov youtuber onepeg is going down :D
Can you not block the melee attacks with great axe or other melee weapons? It was hard to tell in the video and just wondering since that would greatly change the viability of this particular build at melting people
if you go full focus, have the all Con gear on and say I have void gauntlet as my secondary.... does it benefit from Amber gem since the focus is highest or...?
@@LemoniGames I’ll try, bit hard with the void bent armor I still have! I just pop a right click for mana to be honest and it addresses the mana problems.
We all know, that this will not make it to the final version, because op - but still, even with being nerfed, this looks like a solid (and fun) weapon for us healers.
Do you think it'd be worth it for any build to spec at least 50 points into dexterity to get that 5% credit for everything? I've been messing around with some fire staff and others trying to increase my crit as much as possible but I don't know if it's worth it or not. And void Gatlin seems to be a heavy crit user so I'm wondering if it's worth it.
If playing using the Void Blade, yes, CC will help to reduce the amount of uptime the Void Gauntlet player has on their Blade, and thus do less damage/healing. No other melee drops their weapon to pick up a ranged weapon at certain times (unless it is intentional via an actual weapon swap). But if you are able to keep uptime and able to keep pressing your abilities, you get enough CD reduction on Blade and you will have a near-100% uptime on it. So CC will be the anti-(melee)Void Gauntlet, more so than other weapons. Playing without Blade though? That is still up in the air. But then the player wouldn't be a melee, so the point of the question is essentially moot.
Unrelated : Was the cooldown reduction and damage increase on Leaping Strike enough to make you wanna use it over Shield Rush? I'm so tempted lol. Also I wonder what kind of hidden synergies VG could have with certain weapons. Between its healing and DPS output I have a hard time imaging using it as a secondary lol.
They need to balance Life staff in particular 2 different ways, for PVP & then for PVE, as some bosses hit so hard you need that healing but PVP less healing is a good idea for balance.
This sounds crazy but I wonder how it would pair with the spear? More CC to get the void blade going. It might make the spear cyclone good for the slow.
First off, congrats to 3 videos in 2 Days, sleep is highly overrated I guess. Consider you are not online on Discord I bet you take the missing hours! :-) I was already wondering why you wouldn't own a Discord. Thanks for setting up discord to stay in touch with your community :-). I wonder where the travel goes until the VG is released. At the very moment it is crazy so I will assume it will take some adjustments, VG is just insane powerful. You made a great build for sustainability, survival while pushing high damage and great CC effects to dictate the fight. For myself I look more into a main healer build with good support skills as I play PvE only and I am always grouped up. I believe that VG consider its focus scaling and support ability could become the best off-hand choice for healers. Harvest essence promise endless pool of mana taking all the HOTs on both weapons into credit, even so low mana could only become an issue spending to much time on the VG. As you said it drains mana :-D! Anyhow consider a Support build I am thinking use Void Blade for Damage support and in order to trigger the ultimate at all. Oblivion for group buffing and Essence Rupture for additional healing. Setup HOT on your Lifestaff encounter mobs in melee setup Oblivion for DMG burst and push out Essence Rupture and Void Aura to keep health up and in case fights get messy you can always switch back to Lifestaff. What do you think, you have any idea on a good Main Healer support build?
Awesome - I think there be quite a few folks that will be excited about that! Keep the good work up and even so I am late... Congrats for being Official New World Creator!
For solo play and outpost rush, feels like going heavy with focus+con exclusively is pretty crazy. You can put out nearly as much damage (not quite as much tho for sure) but you feel so insanely tanky I can't even fathom what it would take to kill you. Go solo a lvl 64 gold elite, it's not even challenging if you have mana pots. Crazy survivability. Trade off for sure, but wow.
Lemoni almost looks like Void Gauntlet will be extremely useful for pretty much everything- maybe too useful. Sounds like it's going to be "balanced" before it goes live. Here's the challenge - what's the counter build? Is there one? Other thoughts - does it have enough healing to survive blocking to recharge?
The counter is literally anything that can kite, I imagine. Outside of the root and a super short duration snare, the VG has nothing to keep it on top of you to actually do that damage. In a duel, you have limited space, but out in the world people can just run away and there's not much you can do about it other than try to hit them w/ the bolts. I will say that 150 Int + 150 Foc actually did noticeably more damage than 250+ Int on the VG. I think we're going to see a lot of double glove users also, w/ double roots, good burst windows w/ IG, decent up-close damage w/ VG. Scream + Shower is absurd against melee.
I was like oh someone actually figured it out. Then i click on video and see a build that's just life staff, like bruh, life staff makes anyone and anything OP
I find it hard to believe that a hard 20% nerf on every healing skill is not "that significant" especially in 65+ elites zones and dungeons... We'll see I guess. But I'm really not okay with that, life staff gets nothing but getting pounded in the you know where since launch... Anyway let us all welcome the gauntlet of glory that will free us, full healers, from those amber gems that don't work properly. Edit : Oh okay, I'm not really a PvP player, more of a group player so I didn't know you could 1vs many, usually I'm the one getting trashed in PvP situations since I'm a full healer I don't have any damage but the Life Staff. I'm always counting on my DPS allies. And amber gems are bugged so I can't use them either.
Leave it to Lemoni to grind the new content so that we don't have any questions out of the gate. Appreciate this a ton!
he didnt grind anything lol ptr everything is unlocked

My take on Void Gauntlet pairings:
Focus staff : the obvious best main weapon. High focus anyway so (self)healing will be nuts
-MORE heals and buffs
-Selfheals buffed inside sacred ground
-heal and buff your team, debuff the enemy team
-Infinite mana
Damage will be quite weak if you're a healer but the debuffs don't scale with anything anyway and you get even more selfhealing
Rapier: Melee build which also scales (a bit) with int
-Defensive, mobile with fast stuns (riposte buff)
-bleed stacking with disintegrate
-switch to void gauntlet to stop them from healing/running/buffing and healing yourself to full, giving yourself a massive heal on kill so you can fight the next guy
-great dueling potential
Ice Gauntlet: Area Denial, debuffs and CC
-Oblivion will debuff and aoe dmg, then ice storm willd o the rest.
-Some selfhealing to compliment ice storm
-Low mobility but high survivability (ice block, selfheals)
Fire Staff: Aoe (DOTS), High damage
-Could use the upgraded flamethrower with oblivion and scream for CC
-Debuffs allow fire to deal even more damage.
-Adds much needed CC, healing and other utility to fire staff
-Adds mana regain for fire staff
-Adds a good close combat-option
Greataxe: the already OP Greataxe will get some extra debuffs, CC and selfheals and "some" range
-Low damage and selfhealing on void gauntlet but the debuffs will all still be viable.
-A lot of debuffs including disease will secure kills even easier.
-Ranged option for Greataxe
-Gravity well and pulls will keep enemies in range/debuffs
Hammer: Debuffs and CC for days, some selfhealing and debuffs. Range dmg option; Great (AOE) pve option
-Great (off)tank build with AOE CC and debuffs
-Low damage but then again, the debuffs and CC are good enough as it is.
Sword and shield: Void gauntlet might be the best offhand for tanks imo since the dmg/healing matters less again. Range for pulling, cc for peeling
-Selfbuff while debuffing a target
-standing on point with all the debuffs in pvp, taunted mobs will remain in the debuffs as well.
Hatchet: berserker on dmging debuff-auras while enemies have decreased heals... CC and range added.
-Strong pairing since berserk is crazy powerful as it is
-unkillable, bonus dmg at low health stack with eachother.
-stacking heal reductions and other debuffs, infectedthrow is buffed on PTR.

Does Fortifying Sacred Ground stack? Ive managed to find it on like 3 slots...
Just caught up to the Life Staff comment - so that answers that!
Awesome! Thanks 😊
They need to balance Life staff in particular 2 different ways, for PVP & then for PVE, as some bosses hit so hard you need that healing but PVP less healing is a good idea for balance.
It looks promising - wondering if oblivion will have value in OPR. I feel like laying that down on an outpost is going to have value.
Is this thing any good with pure INT? Is it great DPS if Fire Staff sucks balls? Can I main this as DPS only with 300 INT?
@@LemoniGames Cool, thanks!
Lord Lemoni does it again
Swap out speed of light for Inspire on lights embrace and your build is good
How did you 1v7 people? I'd 1v1 lose to spear because I wasn't able to cast my heals.
@@LemoniGames full heavy and the problem is when your hot ends or he pushes you out of it
You can block with void blade.
Looks hella strong. When does this go live?
I Wonder how it will stack up against a competent rapier player, especially with the buffs to rapier.
I would say a good ranged DD can't shut it down. Like this matrix moving brutal npc archers hitting for 3k 🤣
@@LemoniGames add a weapon with movement/charge to use as a gap closer to be followed up with a stun?
I was like oh someone actually figured it out. Then i click on video and see a build that's just life staff, like bruh, life staff makes anyone and anything OP
This build is amazing.
is this still good after patch?
Okay thanks :D love your content!
@@LemoniGames 200 con or focus?
Why go 150 int? Couldn’t you go 100 int and 200 foc?
@@LemoniGames would this build work for dynasty the dungeon as a healer? Or is that not enough focus?
Everyone seems to want 300 CON..... whatcha think boss
600gs vs fishing set ? )))
I think I'm already afraid of the Void/Ice wielders... "Because what goes together better that COLD... and DARK?!"
Eh if the ice Nerf from ptr goes live you'll never see another ice gauntlet again so don't worry.
@@maestrothemage6063 incredible hyperbole
What if i just kite you once i see a voic blade
def will join the discord👍
great video :)
oooomggg its sooo OP... yes.. well.. its a TEST realm.. so.. calm down xD
It's always OP at the beginning to attract burned player. Then they will Nerf it like they nerfed life staff....
@@LemoniGames yes! I'll certainly enjoy ur build while I can haha! Thanks for the video!
@@LemoniGames Yeah sorry, I'm an idiot, I'm watching it (your gem video). It's really interesting. Thanks for your hard work and keep it up !
Oo yea so excited
