Honestly this build is one of my favorites. Since I started I tried to life staff ice gauntlet, but it never felt right. I was gonna comment that after doing lots of testing, I fell in love with Orb rather and Embrace. Nice to see you took it here too ! As I play strickly solo for now, I get rid of the two Touch perks and get two nodes into beacon plus Protector touch and strength. I don't feel the last perf on the healing tree is interesting for me because I never get below 50% (as for now). And if I want a burst heal (that I don't have with light embrace), I can use a potion.
Can definitely tank with this. You are touching on the bit here that warhammer is just very, very good. I run it in my regular strength tank build though I'm typically forced to do rend duty with it. Give mighty gavel a try some time with high strength. Kind of like smashing them with the fist of an angry god. Twice. You lose fortifying path of destiny in those cases, but man the damage off mighty gavel... This does mean taking exhaustive attacks perks to trigger the debuff damage boost. Shockwave > wrecking ball > gavel is quite the combo.
Another amazing spec I'm definitely going to try, I love the idea of so many protection buffs and the cc all while healing. Was thinking of trying it with the spear but this vid makes me want to try the hammer 🔨 thank you
I've tried spear and it's really fun and good but, especially for fighting multiple enemies, Hammer is better. Spear has mobility and might be better 1v1
Finally some war hammer/life staff love! Been telling people that they might want to put the hatchet down for a bit, but they didn't believe me. I'm gonna have to try Path of Destiny again; it wasn't working for me, but I think it's because I didn't have the point in it for the stagger at the time. Enjoy your videos. On this one, at the end of the Hammer build you placed an update about what to take for the last point. In the future could you please place it on an area of the screen that doesn't cover up the build information? (I like to take snaps to refer to them in the future.)
I have a very similar build to this. Right now I've got around 60 str, 213 focus, 200 con. I'm working on getting the focus number down closer to 200 and pumping the str up to 100. It's hard though the closer you get to GS 600. Jewlery is my failing point right now, I need something better than ill-gotten gain. Infinity crystal will be ok, because it's about as close as you can feasibly get to BiS without farming a boat load of asmodeum. Oh and that's without food so with food I'm aiming for 125 200 200, which is super doable. Voidbent and 580 GS weapons are where I"m at now, just to finish the jewelry pieces.
@@LemoniGames Yes when you look at the stats across items when crafting and you know you can only lock in 1 piece of the pie out of potentially 4 pieces. It can be depressing! I will say this though, I see most people wanting to lock in the attributes. I disagree with this. I think it's best to lock in the perk you want, because there are far less attribute combos vs perks available. So the odds of you getting something usable go up (ever so slightly)
I have this build actually, with the same skills. didn't watch the video completely yet but basically if you also use "refreshing move" on your hammer and you have an even easier time to permastun enemies. Basically Stun, light attack, light attack, stun, light attack light attack, stun
I run this build as far as talents go. I noticed you're using the Amber gems but until they fix that so it actually scales the 50% nature damage with focus I'm staying away from it. I find with 100 strength using other gems gives me higher damage overall and it's not close. I've been using Jasper which works really good since you'll be facetanking hits a lot. I think emerald is also pretty good for being able to burst on low health targets to finish fights. Once Amber gems are working properly I'll probably swap some str for more focus and run one of those. In general the build is very fun to play, and the damage is just good enough to make soloing content a breeze as well!
This build is awesome dude! In yesterday's war I was always over the enemies backline stunning them and making a Real chaos, so funny. Do you think you will update this build after the next patch (with debuff 😔)? Thank you for your videos
Just a headsup, it's only PTR but you know, it might go live, there are many nerfs to lifestaff incoming. I used to be hatchet but it was way less boring and actually a lot weaker even. You can start owning with Greathammer/lifestaff as soon as you got the Grit on heavy attacks too, then the enemies won't push you out of sacred ground as easy anymore
Ok so I know I'm commenting on your two build videos a lot (sorry!). My current war setup is 100 Str, 200 focus, 200 con. Sword and shield. For the next war I want to try 200 str, 200 focus & 100 Con. Full heavy voidbent, my only issue is what to do about hammer. I use GS580 weapons and the hammer quest is broken on my server apparently. I've got 200 armoring, about to hit 200 jewelry crafting, I think I might do weapon smithing next so I can try to craft a high GS hammer.
I ended up settling on this weapon combo after trying everything else, the only change I would make is using Clear Out instead of Wrecking ball because it's almost impossible to hit with wrecking ball and has nowhere near the CC of Clear out as well as the ability to knock players out of control circles in wars etc.. knock down is usually alot longer with Clear out vs Wrecking Ball along with getting haste and fortify from the subsequent passives.
@@LemoniGames That's a GREAT idea! I hate to say it but I hardly ever use Path but Clear Out and Shockwave I use all the time. I can see how this would be a better trade off!
@@LemoniGames Yup, Fortify, Haste and cooldown reduction per enemy hit. I've been playing with this setup all day and loving it..Shockwave initially, then get around behind and heavy attack 2 times, Wrecking ball to knock them down again, 2x heavy attacks, then if they are still alive, clear out, alternate to life staff, refresh my Sanctified ground while they are down, back to hammer and start all over. Was using it on Elites in Malevolence.
Lemoni I tried to setup the Warhammer build and this might be a big in the build calculator but since you place no point in the last row of crowd crusher, Aftershock cannot be selected. Stimulated Reduction is needed to get it
Hey lemoni, great video, I may go this route from my axe life staff build. Wanted to ask you, in the axe build do you recommend switching to orb of protection after this latest update or continue to run with Beacon?
@@LemoniGames Well I tried it and like it only problem I am having is getting the gear. I have only managed to get 69 Str 207 Focus and 103 Cons. so its a bit of a struggle against the lvl 50s in great cleave . the 40s I can manage pretty well though.
I'm trying a slightly different version of this for leveling (currently lvl44). A couple of things I noticed - Path of Destiny gets interrupted a lot when you pull large groups so I swapped it to the other ability, Clear Out I think? That's been working crazy-well since it seems that it can't be interrupted AND has a fortify talent. The other thing I noticed is that Light's Embrace has been a lifesaver and I'm not sure I'm happy with the Orb version... just thoughts I guess? This is purely from a leveling perspective. From levels 40-44 I was able to basically pull 10-20 same-level monsters, not exaggerating, in Restless Shore, and smash everything with an emergency heal (light's embrace) if I get staggered a few times from grenadiers or the trickshooting pirate ghosts. Those staggers would interrupt my Path of Destiny and got me killed several times. The lifeleech talent actually heals a TON when you mass pull.
Oh I suppose I was actually thinking about trying to tank with this, but then I'd have to swap the Amber for a Carnelian... not sure if I want to do that, but it seems very tempting. Also, if I did that, I think I would swap back to Orb for fortify AND I'm rocking medium armor for the mobility, but will try out heavy armor also.
Clear out is a bit couterproductive because you WANT them to be close and tight together so you can easily aoe stun them. Light's embrace imo is a great choice too, it only takes 1 point for it to shine and definately at lower lvls you will be short on points. Also love it for healing others as they made our light attack healing less interesting
@@bwucewee1502 I understand it seems counter productive from that point of view - I'm writing more about what I experienced with Path of Destiny; getting it interrupted (and dying sometimes). I haven't had cause to try tanking yet (level 46 now), but look forward to working that angle.
Im leveling now with S&B/life staff because I want to tank to. I cant imagine any build without life staff. How do people heal without life staff? Just wondering
I am really trying to decide on weapon combo build. You put out so many different options. You also make things look so easy. I am a simple person and hard to replicate those skills i see in a video :) In any case, I am currently toying with the life staff/sword/shield build you put up, but am considering all options. I am level 44, mostly solo play, but do some expeditions occasionally. I just got a purple hammer scurvyclonk but it does not have the recommended perks. I may give it a go anyways. TO keep things somewhat short though, out of the Lifestaff combos, for a simple playstyle,, lot of solo,, but for some expedition healing and maybe pvp eventually, what combo of weapons do you recommend the most Lifestaff/? And - can I do it with one set of gear and not respeccing points depending on scenarios? As I said, I am simple and trying to not be complex - Ill admit I am not a SUPER Epic player, lol.... Thanks for the vids!
@@LemoniGames Definitely been trying different weapons with the life staff. Your videos definitely help. I guess the game allows a lot of diversity though so I like that. Of course, what happens when they add new weapons?? More choices... may make my head hurt lol
The old trusty Hammer, nice video as always. Check it out the Battlemage Build ( Fire Staff+Sword n Shield) Full int and con. I recently switched to this to try it out and is fun as fuck and I couldn't not imagine you doing video of that haha.
@@lawrence131 is not really about which one is better if not what you want to play and how you want to play it. Probably the build you are talking about could be lil better in general because yes, boths weapons scaling with int could give you more damage potential if that's what you want, but the build I'm talking about is not made for just pure damage (which will do btw)but also has the utility and defensives capabilities of having a shield. You can always put a gem on any weapon, making that weapon scales certain % with any stat you want and have decent damage. It always depends on what you want to do and not really about which weapon is better than other.
Hello Lemoni. I have a question. I am lvl 56. I am loving do dungeons , i am questing to level up. But as soon i Will be lvl 60 i want ti do tons of outpost rush. I usually going gauntlet and staff in dungeons ( your video build )and For questing Grest axe and staff, but For the First 40 levels i was running hachet and staff. Now i cane back to your last video build, hatchet and Life staff. But now u out out thia new build. So the question Is:. To do dungeons and outpost rush, what should i do? Hatchet + lifestaff or Hammer + lifestaff ( heavy Gear ) ? Thank you 😁
@@LemoniGames Alright, awesome! Thanks for the reply. I spent 55-56 just doing faction pvp quests in Great Cleave anyway, so I had the tokens for a full faction outfit.
took everything you took in hammer and it doesn't unlock aftershock... you have to have an ability in the row above it before it opens. So this warhammer setup will not work. Will have to take something else in the row above it so either Stimulated Reduction or resurgence. Guarded sprint is the only one I can see worth getting rid of and putting in one of these two. I took resurgence since stimulated reduction is kinda meh and cooldowns just fine with gear.
Hi lemoni as always awesome build) but in your warhammer mastery tree you cant pick up last talent cause you didnt take the node that is coming right before it so it`s impossible to get it.
@@LemoniGames really nice that you are replying so fast! for sure i`m going to try this build right now, i like so much all the lifestaff combinations! btw you are speaking about changing build from damage to healing through gear but i would definitely say that for its better to get focus cons gear ( cause gear is difficult to get, good one i mean) and then just pay only 200 gold and put other points in strength or cons depending on what i need at this momment
I am new to New World. First go around on any build. Will this work when leveling? Should I spec in to focus right off the bat? Any advise on leveling with this build
honestly i'd put my first 50 points into constitution, you get the best bang for your buck. then start levelling focus perhaps if you think healing is more necessary than dmg
Do you think some hybrid mage/healer is posible? D: I've been trying Ice/healing but.. For some reason this game makes you to play more with no magical weapons than with magical ones.
@@LemoniGames I'm playing life staff / fire staff with medium loadout. Standard fire mage weapon tree, with fireball, pillar of fire and burnout. You basically start with 3 LS heavy attacks, put the heals down, switch to firestaff and do a fireball / pillar combo, then use burnout if you can afford, or save it for a defensive use. Then you switch back to life staff after a couple fire staff auto attacks. By using fire burst CDs and getting back to lifestaff you don't burn mana as bad. Getting the final talent points on fireball and pillar of fire can make them easy on mana while fighting multiple targets. Also, an option is to take both the zero mana heavy attack and the restore mana on heavy attack points, and use less light attacks. Special perks: fortified sacred ground, empowered fireball, refreshing pillar of fire. 100 INT / 200+ FOCUS / 100 CON with intellect gear on under 50 INT / 250+ focus / 100+ CON with focus gear on The playstyle is to constantly move around switching weapons and chaining abilities. (The final talent that gives mana regen after some time not using a firestaff ability is tempting, but lackluster. You switch weapons too often for it. And the magic rune gives a nice damage burst to compensate for having less intelect.)
I'm trying to level with this...and it's a stun fest. I get staggered constantly by anything larger then 2 mobs. Grit apparently does not work until your commencing the overhead swing. I find it just to slow. I think I may go for the 2H Great Axe instead. I appreciate the idea...but have you actually leveled with this build?
Just dodge right before you perform a move. you're supposed to dodge inside your circle still, that's why you get 100% stamina regen too, make full use of your kit. I've never played a healer that was this much fun tbh
@@LemoniGames yes....but do you think it could be a viable build or do you think is useless to use Life staff just like a secondary weapon to heal myself in progres and supporting other healers in PvE?
Also if you have a mouse with the thumb buttons 4&5. I bound run to the back and weapon swap to the forward. Or buttons 4&5 respectively this helped me greatly on timing the swap versus leaving it keybound to the numbers
The ga/hammer stunmaxx crap needs to end. They made it so mage AOE cannot stack, but left stun training in. Makes OPR aids… Plus the riposte stun is so totally weak
@@LemoniGames plus when you slow a GA user they can just left click on you and close in unless you just give up and run away without turning around to damage them ever again

This build is awesome dude! In yesterday's war I was always over the enemies backline stunning them and making a Real chaos, so funny.
Do you think you will update this build after the next patch (with debuff 😔)? Thank you for your videos
I use lifestaff/hammer but I lean more toward a full focus setup and it’s killer with heals and the stuns from hammer
Everytime such great builds. I love it ;)
I ended up settling on this weapon combo after trying everything else, the only change I would make is using Clear Out instead of Wrecking ball because it's almost impossible to hit with wrecking ball and has nowhere near the CC of Clear out as well as the ability to knock players out of control circles in wars etc.. knock down is usually alot longer with Clear out vs Wrecking Ball along with getting haste and fortify from the subsequent passives.
Stimulated Reduction is needed to get it
@@LemoniGames oh shoot I missed the pinned comment. It's all good though Lemoni, best that we caught it quickly
Prefer light embrace instead of orb in group gameplay. Both pvp & pvp for tanky guys, because restores stamina, and fast cast
Hey lemoni, great video, I may go this route from my axe life staff build. Wanted to ask you, in the axe build do you recommend switching to orb of protection after this latest update or continue to run with Beacon?
awesome vid thanks!
Hey Lemoni, does this build still work after the latest changes to life staff?
Why do you use T1 1%-Onyx instead of the T5? :)
Nice builds and videos, great job =)
Great video, thanks! time to respec.
I haven't had cause to try tanking yet (level 46 now), but look forward to working that angle.
great video.
Do you think theres a way to do a spear and life staff build? I'm wanting to try it out, but idk how decent it would be.
Lv 24 can use this build? Its became tough for me to solo pve quest at lv24 i need healing while killing
You think there will only ever be life staff for healing?
would this or great axe do more damage?
thanks for the great content!
Which build would you go for mainly expedition PVE stuff as a healer?
@@LemoniGames Cheers mate, really good content
The old trusty Hammer, nice video as always.
Check it out the Battlemage Build ( Fire Staff+Sword n Shield) Full int and con. I recently switched to this to try it out and is fun as fuck and I couldn't not imagine you doing video of that haha.
wouldn't Fire Staff/Rapier scale a lot better with more dmg/burst due to INT scaling with Rapier?
@@lawrence131 is not really about which one is better if not what you want to play and how you want to play it. Probably the build you are talking about could be lil better in general because yes, boths weapons scaling with int could give you more damage potential if that's what you want, but the build I'm talking about is not made for just pure damage (which will do btw)but also has the utility and defensives capabilities of having a shield. You can always put a gem on any weapon, making that weapon scales certain % with any stat you want and have decent damage. It always depends on what you want to do and not really about which weapon is better than other.
I'm loving this one! Also, it's Eh-Pitt-oh-Me, not Epi-tome lol. I love your videos though my dude.
@@LemoniGames hahahaha I know!
I swear to God every time you said it it I was convinced you were doing it on purpose lol.
Thank you 😁
@@LemoniGames thank you. Yes i am going with your hatchet + lifestaff atm... That's why i asked. I Will stay with hatchet. Have a nice day
A new one i can t follow hahahah love it a new one to test
I will, so far
1. Hatch or ice
2 . Sword
3. Great axe
Will let you know what i think about this one 😝
Worth buying any faction gear at level 60 with this build? What would you focus on in that case?
@@LemoniGames lol I didn't even see that what you wrote. I see it now though lol
Hi lemoni as always awesome build) but in your warhammer mastery tree you cant pick up last talent cause you didnt take the node that is coming right before it so it`s impossible to get it.
i mean the Aftershok talent , you should get one of the nodes before it to be able to get it in the end
Any advise on leveling with this build
honestly i'd put my first 50 points into constitution, you get the best bang for your buck. then start levelling focus perhaps if you think healing is more necessary than dmg
can you out heal the laser at the final boss of lazarus
How does the build compare for damage output to your sword and shield healer build with respect to general pve content Lemoni? Thank you
@@LemoniGames ok, I think I will give it a try today. Thank you again Lemoni
heyu bro any tank/dmg dealer build ?
100 INT / 200+ FOCUS / 100 CON with intellect gear on
under 50 INT / 250+ focus / 100+ CON with focus gear on
The playstyle is to constantly move around switching weapons and chaining abilities.
I'm missing the part on how and why you can't be interuppted with Heavy attacks?
@@LemoniGames What mastery point is that exactly?
What if i invest mainly in streght with this build instead of focus?
@@LemoniGames yes....but do you think it could be a viable build or do you think is useless to use Life staff just like a secondary weapon to heal myself in progres and supporting other healers in PvE?
Eh-pit-O-me of the Bonk!
I just spentttt on my hatchet/lifestaff build...welpp time to spend more money 🗑️
epi - tome! LOLOLOL thanks for the video! great info! its pronounced "epitomy" though

honestly I don't know how you get the weapon swap to be so responsive for you. I always have trouble.
@@LemoniGames very delayed or unresponsive
Also if you have a mouse with the thumb buttons 4&5. I bound run to the back and weapon swap to the forward. Or buttons 4&5 respectively this helped me greatly on timing the swap versus leaving it keybound to the numbers

The ga/hammer stunmaxx crap needs to end. They made it so mage AOE cannot stack, but left stun training in. Makes OPR aids… Plus the riposte stun is so totally weak
@@LemoniGames plus when you slow a GA user they can just left click on you and close in unless you just give up and run away without turning around to damage them ever again
Stuns, knockdowns and staggers all need diminishing returns.
I guess no more farming Friday :(
