Leniency seems to change every different race configuration, that said, there wasn't that much contact other than that one weird incident where the ghosting happened a split second too late. This is the highest rated lobby after all

I remember the first time I was like "this guy... is a pretty funny guy"
It was an episode on a willow springs race, and he was talking about how unforgiving a track it was and how if you went off the track you would need to set up camp on the way back because it was such a long journey.
And I think shortly after that was the first time I heard him make a "rigor mortis of the tyres is setting in because they're that dead" joke as well. So it was a quick one-two punch of deadpan metaphor that won me over 😂
There are people who is better at the game, but I never watch them. I don’t even play the game, but Steve have been bringing me so much joy since he first started playing GT Sport with his controller.
His deadpan commentary sells just about everything LMAOO

There was a race at Sardegna B at some point and turn one is a right corner there with a single file line and so I kept poking my nose there to force people into mistakes and it was working so well it turned into a meme for my brother and I.

Overall race-craft is generally woeful on GT Sport at the moment, too many fighting for every corner on every lap like their lives depend on it - now we're without contact penalties it sometimes feels like a heated scene from Broke Back Mountain!
I love how me and Super GT have the same breaking points and yet he is faster than me :)
That last race was fun to watch, the players in high ranked lobbys seems to be more respectful. I'm stuck with dirty drivers and can't improve my rank as I wish :(

GTSport is arcadish. Shouldn't be that hard to be fast. You probably got some learning to do.
Also about what gear you take into the corner, through the corner, and out of the corner. Could also be when you're getting on the power. I know for me I always hop on the power too early.

For example, I have a Colin Mcrae 555 Livery for a Lancer, a Tom's Castrol Livery for various cars like the RCZ/M3/RX7, the Calsonic for an Integra, and even Big Lou's Tiger on a 350z.

Yes, it helps to turn the car slightly. The moment you downshift, the rear end steps out slightly and helps the car to rotate. You then shift back up to the ideal gear for acceleration on the corner exit.

You're asking why Leo put his nose there, well it's to distract the other driver and make him think you're going for a move when in fact you aren't so they make a mistake and the move worked too well for Leonardo lol
I think Sylvester got revenge on the wrong driver. He might have thought Berz punted him two corners ago but it was Leo that did it instead.
If you see Sylvester's replay he didn't even try to brake at that point he mashed the throttle and slammed into Berz.

I am a B S class player and with the races of this week I have been going up and down from S class to B and back to S class because everyone is bombing down the apexes, hope they will fix penalties for contact soon
I'm in the same boat, fairly new B/S class player and I'm getting tired of putting in the time to get a good quali lap, starting in pole position, but then it's actively detrimental because there's always at least one person who uses everyone in front of them as a brake Turn 1 and is straight up rewarded for it.
Honestly I'd take even a slightly dodgy contact penalty system at this point as long as people are encouraged to actually try and make Turn 1
I truly wish that you would do your qualifying times on a video every Monday, because there is just something about how you speak and explain what you're doing as you replay everything you've done to get your times (which are always about 1.5sec quicker than mine best). I know there are a few other RUclipsrs who do that, but I suppose it's because you speak in a manner that I jive with... Either way, great video as always.

I would say it didn't gain him more positions than if he had stayed behind. He would have passed me on the straight anyway and would have passed the car in the pits anyway. By going for the move, it made me slower and therefore him slower as he's stuck behind. So he really only cost himself time.
sorry to mentioned this but the fact that igor fraga started at 19 and end up 2nd just 5 seconds off the leader is something to be amazed of!
At 14:17 why is it optimal to go down to 1st gear and back up to 2nd? Is there a difference between that and only going down to 2nd?
The way some physics engines work (in gt sport, f1 2021), the engine braking by doing that causes the car to rotate more - basically you can take more speed into the corner.

I've kind of avoided this race because I can't get my qualifying up that much and being anywhere towards the middle is just a nightmare.

By the way in Gran Turismo there is an approach attack maximum allowable speed. The cars will go invisible if the game senses the speed of attack from another car is far beyond the average speed of everyone else. This is to protect the rest of the field from people retaliating against Italians 😆. And on these longer races if you start on the harder compound and you start in second place pit the lap or 2 after the leader pits and you will win everytime

The first race. Seemed very unrealistic. The racing lines, attacks etc. From other drivers were so bad.. I was baffled how they were still competitive against you. Some corners toy were braking way to early on.
GR.3 and GR.2 on Sardegna is pure chaos. sometimes a good race with GR.1/4 but rarely because of the easiness. otherwise Good Race.
This bmw livery makes me hope the dtm cars come back in group 2 for 7
