Saw this about a week after in Salt lake city opening for Black oak And Blue oyster cult . I was 12 and my first concert ! Loved it !!
BŌC how cool
Sounds like a blast !!
I was only 9 in 77
79-80 I started going to shows
Cheers
This is my by far favorite Sammy song !!! This song kicks the crap out of all the junk I hear today !!! Gary Phil ,Bill Church, and I think it's David Lauser or something anyway that drummer beating the crap out of them drums ! Bring Rock n Roll back like this please !!! Only one way to rock and that's Sammy's WAY !!!
It wasn't till 1982's Standing Hampton album that put him on the music scene map it was his top selling album at the time! The move from Capitol to Geffen paid off. He was poorly marketed by Capitol. Van Halen noticed him from that record! By 1985 he was in VH. that 1986 VH album was awesome!! It made Sammy a god.
Just got home from seeing Sammy: my buddy and I both said we’d wished he played it
@@markevers8823 But ask your self why he don't play those songs anymore? That's the million dollar question
I was at this concert,San Francisco 1977 it’s on the Live album!
Drummer is Denny Carmassi. he played with him in Montrose
The power of this performance is amazing 🇺🇲🤘
That's the legendary Denny Carmasi on drums (from Montrose, Sammy, Whitesnake, Heart, etc) AWESOME
Great song Sammy.... I like it Red.....
Love this song and album
Great performance...the drummer is amazing and Sammy is the Best!
I was there! San Francisco 1977
hell yes
I cant get enough
No time
No sugar tonight
Undun
Saw Sammy Open for Boston in '78. Same Band. Montrose without Ronnie...
Go Sammy play your burning solo!
Paint it Red
Creo que es la original hasta que la encontré 👍
Cool video. B & W in 1977? It wasn't that long ago. LOL.
At Winterland they had an in-house video system with a big screen. Always black and white.
I remember going up to the bar and you could watch the show on the screen and not miss anything! Saw many a great show there! Thank you Bill Graham
One cool mf!
Green ain’t mean compared to Red!
Ahh. When we were young and healthy and good looking. Now days whaddaya got? Harry Styles in a mini skirt? Sorry kids, you missed OUT!!
Most now days remember Sammy Hagar as a member of Van Halen, yes he had solo albums but nothing spectacular till 1982 Standing Hampton. His break through record on Geffen Records. I have all Sammy's albums but rarely listen to his 1970's stuff.
I 😂
The United Kingdom is Red
Very "The Who" sounding too. Close your eyes...could be.
Can see why Van Halen never played this
I was there!!!
