Easily. The only other Canadian death metal bands I can think of are cryptopsy and despised icon.
So deep, This album is something to be cherished by anybody who has lost a loved one to cancer. This is the only band that can make me headbang and cry within the same song. Thank you Into Eternity.
No band has quite matched Into Eternity for this style of music. There are bands as good.....but the progressive arrangements that IE writes are just spot on and not overly done with the perfect balance of melody and brutality.

Man that vocal range the singer has is amazing. He does so many different vocals so well including clean. I want a band with a singer like that haha.

This band is still good without Stu, but Stu and Tim's harmony's on this album are amazing! I mean check out Dead Or Dreaming (the whole album). That's Tim Roth doing all the vocals. But Stu is back in IE now so

check out an album called Refuge Denied by Sanctuary, oldie but goodie. Vocals don't get much better then that.
My God. Stu is so awesome. His voice can range from growling to falsetto so easily.

This came out a short time after my father had passed away from cancer.I remember buying this album and reading the insert pages and seeing the phrase cancer sucks and it's been one of my favorites ever since.

For some reason peolple keep hating on fellow musicians for stupid reasons. Haters please grow up and appreciate creativity. I will just give you an example of profesionalism: have you heard of Megadeth, well they are touring with Job for a cowboy, and they chose them personally. Their music is completely different, but still music.

I don't know why people are worried about Stu doing his growls and screams in Iced Earth. Into Eternity is a prog death band, and Iced Earth is a power/thrash band. Last I checked, those genres use harsh vocals extremely sparingly. So if they are existent in new Iced Earth, they will be used for ambiance. Plus, it is Schaffer's decision to include the harsh vocals. If he didn't want them before, he probably won't now.
This is some real fucking metal. \m/
Tim Roth used to do pretty much all of their singing. He said it was necessary, since no one else would do it. Then Danny Nargang came along, then Chris Krall, etc. So I still think it's cool he does some singing.
Of course no one can replace Matt Barlow (just ask Ripper) but I really believe Stu will be a great addition to IE. He has the range and the power to carry listeners into the land of Set and make us part of the story.
Into Eternity's loss is Iced Earth's gain.
