Isolation, My Dear Mark Watson
Richard has been enjoying the lunchtime hour of lockdown the most so far and discusses chalk shadow drawings reminding him of nuclear war. His guest is author, comedian and lift engineer Mark Watson. They discuss trying to not die in a pandemic and how difficult it is to be motivated, turning 40 before civilisation collapses, how becoming successful is not always the best route for creativity (or making yourself feel better by arguing that), the redundancy of swimming badges, a new 24 hour show for Mark and haircuts with no hairdressers.

I hate to tell you this, but there were 208 episodes of How I Met Your Mother. So either you have blanked half the show from your memory, or there are another 108 episodes you still have to watch...
And even though Rich knows it'll be a shameful waste of time, he'll finally admit he loves How I met your mother.
I watched them all. I didn't count them. Felt like 1000 to be honest.

Oh my God! I got a reply from Richard! The fourth greatest moment of my life! (The first three being meeting Stewart Lee three times).
That was my favourite bit, especially from about a minute and a half in. It tailed off slightly at around the 3 minute mark, before picking up again for the triumphant coda at four minutes and twenty five seconds. I believe the original cut had been 8 seconds longer, but a section of the last minute was edited out, presumably to avoid a copyright infringement suit from John Cage's estate. I wonder if You Tube will take it down anyway.
I love Mark but do wonder what was on the TV during the podcast? #MarksEyes
