Ah, yes, The Electric Rainbow that I have operated years ago when it was at the defunct Americana/LeSourdesville Lake amusement park in Middletown/Monroe Ohio back in the 80's. The ride was so beautiful lite up at night when it was at Americana. The name of the ride lived true to its name!! When Americana closed for the very last time in 2002, Jerry Couch then owner of LeSourdesville Lake amusement park sold that ride to Strickers Grove in Ross Ohio which was only about 15 miles from the park located on state route 4 and near state route 63. Worked there many summers during my youth at Americana and it was an awesome park with a great wooden rollercoaster that has been torn down. The Screeching Eagle. Lots of rich history of that park and also of Fantasy Farm Amusement Park mainly for junior kids was located right next door to Americana/LeSourdesville Lake amusement park. So yes we had 2 amusement parks, Strickers Grove, Coney Island, The Beach Waterpark and Kings Island all within a 30 mile radius in Butler, Hamilton and Warren Counties in SW Ohio. We also had Cedar Point amazement park, Geauga Lake aamusement park, Sea World Ohio approx 208 miles to the Northern part of Ohio, Kennywood amusement park to the East part of Ohio/West PA. We also had COSI Science and museum center about 80 miles from us here in Butler County Ohio, and also had the former Wyandot Lake amusement park in Columbus Ohio. Lots of amusement places for sure and thats not counting 2 Football teams, 2 Major League Baseball teams, an Ice Hockey team and 4 different Zoos in Cleveland, Toledo, Columbus and Cincinnati. I almost forgot we have 5 Zoos, also a drive thru Zoo in Port Clinton Ohio. Ohio, the heart of it all!!!!
I like that Tornado is your basic 43 m.p.h, 55 foot drop coaster, yet it’s one of the rarest coasters you can ever ride.
And i’ve ridden it at least 100 times 😐
My grandfather used to work for a company that would rent the park out one day every summer for a company picnic, definitely some of my best memories as a kid
This is primarily a private picnic facility that rents out to large groups for corporate/church picnics and the like. The rides are an added feature. It opens to the public only four days a year.
Glad you enjoyed the park, it's really fun for how small it is. I was there for Labor Day 😊
That frog hopper has been SBNO for a long while. I went in October 2021 and you could visibly see dust and canvas covering the seats
looks like a neat little park. :) I wonder if people went out for birthday parties. I imagine this place would beat out any Chuck E Cheese. that one lucky kid in class:"oh you are going to have your birthday party at Chuck E Cheeses.....thats nice........ but for MY birthday we are renting out an amusement park!!!"

I am going right now and this park is underrated
Fascinating bit of Americana that hardly exists in 2024. I grew up 25 minutes from there but never went due to its limited schedule. It must cost a small fortune to keep those rides and the grounds in order. Hope it stays as it is or even grows slightly, keeping its old school charm.

Go there! If you want to then definitely! The park is actually struggling with finances thanks to low attendance so help 'em out if ya want.

As an employee there I can tell you that every year we barely make even on cash, so you won't see an expansion haha
Oh Man that's kinda sad. I wonder why people won't come and support this little place because it looks outstanding. Sometimes it's not about having the biggest coasters or the tallest drop towers but just having fun in a cozy location classic style. I mean some marketing inside Cincinatti may help boost attendance but hey I'm just some guy in Denmark who likes old school amusement parks.
Epic PHail maybe if you guys opened up to the public more than 4 times per year and promoted the place you'd start turning a profit. I've lived less than 25 miles from this amusement park my entire life and just found out about it's existence today.
Epic PHail I have lived in Ohio my entire life and just heard of this. I don't know one whose heard of this place. So maybe if you do better advertisement and open more then you'll make a better profit. Don't blame people on what the company fell to do.
If they took care of Conneaut lake park this is what it would look like.
Seems like it could have the title of Amusement park museum with that many classic rides.

Coaster Studios Floridan parks are great fun and I've visited all the major Floridan parks except for Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. If you do go I'd suggest that you go during fall because of the cool weather and the Halloween events.

Yeah IKR. Stricker's seems like such a nice park. Speaking from experience then I can safely say that people in Scandinavia would absolutely love this place. Their mindset is that You don't visit a theme park if it's not nice to be at/walk around and Stricker's definitely has that to it's advantage against some concrete hells like Carowinds and Even Kings Island to some extent.

I winter to Michigans Advenchure The Last day they wer open. Very nice! It wasn't crowded and it was about 70 digress outside.
