Stricker's Grove - So Many Parks 148

- Stricker's Grove is a small amusement park outside of Cincinnati built on a farm adjacent to some corn fields. It is only open to the public four weekends out of the year as well as private events. As such, it is one of the more difficult parks in the US for coaster enthusiasts to visit. But thanks to the American Coaster Enthusiasts' annual "Picnic at the Grove" event, I was able to finally check out this park. And it is a very charming place! All of the rides are classics, and it has a welcome old-fashioned amusement park appeal. The wood coasters are very fun, and Tornado in particular has some great airtime hidden in its innocent-looking layout. And if you like corn, you picked the right amusement park!
This is So Many Parks, So Little Time; a series where I document the many amusement parks I stop by this summer. Join me for some fun times, some great people, and of course the coasters. New videos every Tuesday and select Thursdays.

Loved Strickers. Classic and cute little park
I forgot that you got to visit there too! I completely agree, the park and the rides are very well looked after.
So fun to see these smaller parks
Glad to hear! It's also great to shine a light on hidden gems like Tornado.
Now that is a train ride! What a scenic view as well
I always love a good miniature railway!
@@CivilianSatellite the one at Hershey Park is pretty cool. My favorite so far is the one at Cedar Point
Those are both very good ones, especially Cedar Point's. My favorites are Silverwood's and Dollywood's, with honorable mentions for Disney, SDC, Knoebels, and Little Amerricka.
Strickers Grove is a fantastic park. I hope that you had a great time and I’m happy you have those coasters because they’re a good classic ones and I know the owners of the park so maybe next year when you come back you might be see me working there.
It really is a great and well-maintained park! I kind of doubt I’ll be able to make it next year, but I’ll certainly be on the lookout for you next time I’m back in town.
Wow look at that! An ASC T-128 siren at 0:38
I had to look up what that was, but that's awesome that you were able to identify it and point it out!
I definitely need to make a return to Stricker’s Grove one day. My 2021 trip was paired with a stop to Kings Island afterward, so both parks were rather rushed. I rode the two coasters and the train, yet missed out on the Tip Top and the Ferris Wheel (given that I wasn’t big on filming then, with the exception of a 30-second snippet of the carousel, I only have photos from my visits to either park). That pop of mad ejector on Tornado made the 4-and-a-half-hour drive worth it. Side-bar: did you notice the random hippo alongside the train tracks?
I believe there is a Tip Top at Sylvan Beach Amusement Park in New York, but other than that, this ride type is few and far between (at least to my knowledge).
Oh, I was wondering when you would get to the other Scene75. What did you think of Tsunami (well, aside that it is another SBF Visa under your belt lol)?
You weren't missing too much with the Ferris Wheel, but that is a shame missing the Tip Top. A friend on Instagram from Texas told me that there used to be a bunch of those rides in the south when he was growing up. It's a shame there isn't more of them because they are quite fun. I had the same reaction on the ejector drop on Tornado, definitely made it worth the journey. My friend did point out the random hippo to me lol.
Well, there's yet another reason for me to visit Sylvan Beach. Paired with the Pretzel dark ride, the Eyerly rides, and the Rotor.
I quite enjoyed Tsunami. We didn't get a lot of spinning, but we were in the back car and getting airtime on an SBF Visa spinner was not something I knew I needed lol.
Did you ride Coaster at Scene 75 in Dayton?
Fast forward to the end of the video. 😉
