honestly i didn’t really like the anime that much when i watched it but once i picked up the manga it became one of my favourite series really fast. i’ve read through the manga many times since then and have never really had any intentions to go back to the anime. apart from the animation which i thought was pretty good, i think it tried too much to appeal to a wider audience, which i guess makes sense when you’re adapting to a more accessible medium, but i think it generally lost a lot of what made the manga special. a lot of people from what i’ve seen watched the anime and immediately decided they didn’t like the series and i can’t blame them, but i just wished people would actually judge it based on the source material rather than an adaptation. i started with the anime because i watched it when it had just came out but i’m glad i gave the manga a shot and i appreciate you pointing out at the end that the manga is better. (also i generally just love gyaru yuri lol, so this series is one of the pillars of that subgenre for me)
