I thank you for all your firsthand experience
I was going to buy a Jackery. For Solar and they were offered at Costco and Lowe’s where I shop. As I was entering the store, I noted them being returned so it made me stop and think.
I thank you for all this information and your guidance

*@**6:06**: Now you are touching on something which I don't think is great customer service AT ALL !!! Having to pay large amounts of money, only to have your EcoFlow Product FAIL and then needing to re-package and re-ship your EcoFlow products back for servicing is a HUGE HASSLE AND MAJOR, SUPREME, INCONVENIENCE !!! Who the hell has the time to screw around like that ? If you're talking about an EcoFlow Delta Pro, or an EcoFlow ULTRA solution, then re-packing and shipping that isn't a 5 minute exercise is it Ben ? How about designing the EcoFlow power stations with built in, resettable fuse relays, or end user replaceable fuses, instead of requiring the customer to always ship their heavy power stations back for servicing in cases of malfunction ? In 2025, I don't see why you can't connect your malfunctioning EcoFlow Power Station to the Internet, so EcoFlow can remote service, update, or run quality and function control checks to diagnose faults ? Unless the built in WiFi and Bluetooth is what's busted, of course ?*

I have had the Delta Pros since they came out and have had a couple to "brick" on a firmware update, and they would never correctly work with the 240 volt hub. I now make sure that I disconnect all inputs, outputs, and the 240 volt hub before doing any updates. So far, that has worked, and now my 240 hub is working flawlessly. 🙏

I’d swear I discovered the 99 days left to charge firmware issue 😂.
I emailed them within 6 hours of that release because my unit did it.
They acted all stupid for weeks before finally responding to me by telling me
      Quote “you wait”.
Note, it took EcoFlow 5 months to fix this issue 😮 ya.
My same unit works fine now.
I also emailed Ben here letting him know.

I have the 2 delta pro units tied to version 1 of the backup panel.
No issues even with latest firmware.
I did try the hub before getting the panel.
The worst part about the panel is getting matching breaker cards for the panel & the cards not being recognized. Had to use excessive force to work.

I've already had two failures of the three Delta Pro Ultras. This second one they refuse to send me a replacement before I send them the failing unit. This doesn't include the glitches I've had in the past. They have never resolved problems including the Power Insight Monitor can't connect to the DPU and Smart Home Panel 2 when the internet is down; The ethernet connection from the SHP2 to my router has never worked; it usually doesn't balance the charge between the three DPUs and the attached batteries; and the app on my phone can only connect via bluetooth if the internet is down.

The first iteration of any electronic product will have a higher failure rate. I’ve used my two original Delta Max systems for years, moving each between our Airstream trailer and truck camper to our home for winter season backup power service. Loaded all firmware updates. Had one Delta Max failure, on the road, and Ecoflow promptly sent a replacement unit to our temporary location. Good gear.

This is it. Having had 5 units all fail during updates (only two were fine) I just stopped updating firmware. They don't cache the firmware locally on the device before flash and don't provide a way to flash locally (USB, JTAG etc.) it's dumb on their part.

So true. I have 3 DPUs running a house. I updated firmware from 5.0.0.49 to 5.0.0.60 and the batteries drained 3x as fast as normal. I contacted ecoflow and they reverted back to 5.0.0.49 and everything was cherry. Firmware is really bizarre on reliability.

I’m very happy with all of my Ecoflow products. I purchased the 800w alternator charger, and reached out to customer service and asked if they would have an option to purchase an additional input cable. I wanted an extra cable to install into a second vehicle. They replied back asking for proof of purchase of the charging unit, and they sent me a second input cable free of charge. So yes, I’m very pleased with the Ecoflow customer service.

We have the Delta Pro + extra battery, and a River 2. We originally got our Delta Pro (by itself) to start to slowly build out our system to prepare for hurricanes, so we were going to pay off the battery first, then make choices about solar panels, gas generator, an extra battery, etc etc...... Then a month later a hurricane hit us and took out our power for about 4-5ish days. It kept our food going but we were sooo not ready. BUT we did have family that got their power back, so we drove the unit to their house and charged up in about a hour, so we were good for a little while longer. Another family member got their power back as well and let us use their gas generator to finally finish out the outage. Few months later, we got a gas generator just to be a little more prepared and after we paid off the main unit, we bought another battery. Milton hit us in central Florida and we took it no issue other than dwindling gasoline supplies making me a LITTLE nervous (we went through half our supplies). We started buying solar panels last year and we're at 4 bifacial panels and looking to get four more this year. We also got a river 2 just to keep our water softner going for 12 hours in case of an outage if we're away or something, because the Delta Pro isn't always being used. So that's our history with Ecoflow
My critiques of the company is that I really REALLY do not like how much mark-up you get with the brand. I don't mind the main units being expensive cause it just makes sense but their extra batteries are USELESS without the main units, so them being as expensive as they are for limited functionality is kinda not okay. ESPECIALLY since you lose access to ports for other means like their own gas generators. If you have to batteries with their Pro units, you are going to have to disconnect on to use their gas generator in the way it was meant to be used and then cycle the extra batteries to charge the other one and that seems like more work than there should be. Daisy chaining them like other companies do with their extra batteries is kinda a must for this situation. Also, once again, other companies allow you to at least charge DC loads with their extra batteries like over USB-C or even charge up the extra batteries via DC/solar. I also really hate the extra battery cord for the DP. It's way too unwieldy, especially for tight spaces. Happy newer customers for the DPU/DP3 get that improved cable but it sucks that we have to go out and pay for that privilege now as DP1 owners. Also, their solar panels are way too expensive for the output you get, it's kinda absurd. I also wish there were more buttons to have more functionality not tied to the app, in case a phone breaks or someone who is not phone savvy or a third party needs to operate the units for you if you're away or something. Also, JUST IN CASE ECOFLOW GOES BELLY UP, it would be nice to not have to worry about app updates continuing since there have been instances of phone app stores stopping functionality of older apps as OS's update and leave behind older phones. Final pain point is backwards compatibility. It sucks that Smart Home Panel 1 owners are kinda stuck with the Delta Pro and Smart Home Panel 2 owners can't use their DP with it. So if you have a Smart Home Panel 1, you're stuck with the Delta Pro only and if you get the SHP2, you have to abandon the Delta Pro main units and upgrade to the DPU or DP3, adding extra expensive. I'm sure there's a lot of electric engineering reasons for why this HAS to be the case, especially with the voltages involved, but Ecoflow really wants everyone to be in the ecosystem and this makes me wary to fully buy in since there might be a SHP3 that further breaks backwards compatibility. Also, with the previous point of app support for the long term, I worry about the SHPs long term support. DOn't foresee Ecoflow going away in 10 years but crazier things HAVE happened in the last decade, so I worry about this stuff. Also, Delta Pro is annoying when you go over 500w of charging/discharging. Obviously would take it's fan noise over a gas generator but it's kinda worse cause at least the gas generator is outside, the DP is meant to be used indoors... where you sleep.
I haven't used their customer service much but in the times I have, they were very quick to respond. I do like their app a lot and its also improved a lot from when we first started using it to now. It's also, frankly, FUCKING CRAZY that you can get so much power in a single device that also excepts so many inputs to charge from. We're living in a golden age, people. Love that there are so many options too so people don't have to go big or go home, you can get something so much smaller to run your fridges and be set charging from your car is need be. The flexibility here is just awesome to see. I also do love that I don't feel the need to go out and get the newer stuff cause what we have is plenty good enough and I'm comfortable mostly knowing (outside of app stuff) that the units should run a good long time and still be about as good as when we first get them, outside of niche potential issues we just haven't encountered yet. I do like with the Delta Pro series that, if you want to go full sickos, you can get extra main units to get 240v and not really HAVE to go for the DPU or DP3. I do like the idea of the extra batteries being compatible with the DP3 so you don't have to get rid of all of your investment potentially
So yeah, mostly happy with our purchases. They've saved our butts, helped run medical devices for a family member, can be taken with us if we just want to gtfo, can be charged from multiple sources at once, charges fast for the capacity, has expand-ability of capability/capacity, seems pretty dependable thus far, and it just cool to see that we've gotten to this point. If it weren't for expense, I'd recommend everyone get one of these units just because they seem more and more like a necessity than a luxury. I hope costs go down and battery technology keeps improving so that more and more people can get these things and not have to deal with as much pressure during outages.

Doesn't the pro have an ac input for charging?!? Why are you disconnecting the extra batteries to charge by generator???

Obtaining any solar power storage solutions is difficult for us here in Hawaii (Big Island). There are a couple of resellers here that do carry some of the older series but at full retail cost. So the warranty support becomes tricky for us. I was able to get a Delta II at the HomeDepot in Hilo for $700. Not great but not a bad price for local options. But last week we saw the Delta Pro at Costco in Kona for $1700, which was a great price, so we picked up one. Our home is 100% electric with all the 120V connections on one leg, this leg is tied to a generator port with the safety interlock, so we can run our whole home 120V for about 7 hours off straight battery. Looking at adding the 1600W of solar to extend that and charge, supplementing with a generator as needed in total power down scenarios.

I’m using my Delta 2. Look at what I can do. Its solar is working when the sun comes out. If I need to I can charge it up with my generator. But I can in its programming set it to goto the grid if the sun is not available. With it I run my refrigerator on solar with grid backup for daily use. Saving me on my electric bill. I do have an extra battery for it, so with it I can go from daylight to daylight and save 103 watts per hour of grid power. Thanks Ben for your input and chart on the equipment.

I have a Delta2 Max with extra battery that I use the same as you. I got it for power outages, but I figured since the battery will degrade over time whether you use it or not, then why not get some use out of it. I just need to get more solar, because when I have to recharge from the grid, I lose the savings.

They sent me shipping labels, and was given the option to wait a longer period to repair original or get refurbished ones for a quicker turn around. I got refurbished ones with full existing warranties. My River Pro had to be replaced with a new one and for my troubles EcoFlow gave me an extension battery for it. @@JeremyGray-jg4db The process is tedious and frustrating. Because of the time difference exchange with emails will be every 24 hours. For me it was frustrating as I am not computer savvy and sending a video was difficult and I had to install drop box. I purchased everything through Amazon so the order #'s and invoices were on file. They require serial #'s .Best thing to do is do what they ask you to do. In the past I had another unit go bad and I realized then what I needed to do . For that other time which was my first I got angry but they made up for it my giving a river mini. All in all turn around time with communicating and shipping and receiving products took 2 1/2 weeks. Just accept the fact that you may have to answer the same questions more than once and your blood pressure will not go sky high. I hope this helps.

    river - maximize portability
delta - more power than river, still portable enough for many/most
delta max - sure, it's easily portable for me, my wife can manage it, but not portable for my 89yr old father
delta pro - moveable but not intended to be portable
I kind of wish they had come up with more names instead of overloading "delta" like they did. Perhaps something like river, delta, sea, ocean. Or maybe creek instead of river, then they could have done creek, river, delta, ocean.

You should really concentrate on support (after the sale). Ecoflow has left a lot to be desired in terms of support and has no North America support. All of their support is out of china. If you need help, be prepared to wait at least 12+ hours and send dozens of emails trying to decipher what they're asking you for. But maybe you don't have to worry about that since they send you free stuff? Most of us don't get free stuff and are left to our own in hopes for support. Sorry but this video strikes me as yet another Ecoflow paid for biased INFOMERCIAL......

I'm in the same boat as you All I'm getting is a bunch of emails telling me to basically do their job for them and trying to decipher what the problem is and send them video recordings of last time I used it and recording video of what it's doing wrong all I guess in the hopes of them trying to email me a answer that will work to keep them from having to send out a replacement is what I'm thinking is that what you're getting I'm in Little River South Carolina

@@JeremyGray-jg4db they will end up replacing your unit, but it might take dozens of emails, phone calls, texts, images/videos. Again, their support is NOT in the USA... everyone there is in China, which only delays things. Despite Ecoflow being recommended to establish a North America support system, they seem very disinterested in this. Also, please pay particular attention to their firmware updates. They can result in "Bricking" your unit. Watch "Daniel Reviews" that's just one of many examples.

Mostly agreed, but there's some design philosophy stuff that bothers me with their home backup gear. I've read multiple reports of people having failures of the Smart Home Panel 2 during normal operation because of relay failure, and the part cannot be serviced. Not by a local electrician, not by an Ecoflow tech (if such a thing was even available). It's not a field replaceable component and the entire SHP2 has to be sent back. That's going to lead to a very, very unhappy household. If they're going to make gear to be in-line for critical loads at all time, it needs to have robust components that are field serviceable. That's why I'm not buying SHP2 or any installed EcoFlow gear until they address it.

Your opinion is swayed by the 10's of thousands of $$ of FREE gear they gave you.

I don't recall any of us getting tens of thousands of $$$ in free "Delta Pro Ultra" gear like some of these youtubers. Of course, getting that kind of equipment is going to result in a very biased (positive) review. Reminds me of when ecoflow comes out with another new product and suddenly all the youtubers have it and are "reviewing" it so they can help us figure out if it's "RIGHT" for us or not.

    Ecoflow is quite annoying.
Their xt60i cable on their cooler and the delta is GARBAGE. The cable works for a few days, then becomes useless. Their response is not enough voltage is reaching the device… but they won’t solve the cable issue.
I sent back their glacier, for repair, the sent me back a box with a broken hinge, and power button… very annoying.

Hey Ben; you have a good channel but this is not your shinning moment; its most obvious cheezy fluff and unecessary video. What happened to all your alocolades for Hysolis? You said they had the best customer service with only an issue with connection the internet. One can only wonder what your motivation to devote a video about EcoFlow's customer service. All those free expensive Delta Pro Ultra's have you singing a different tune. Did not Hysolis not give you any free power stations? Had EcoFlow not given you all the free hardware, would you still have made the video; perhaps not. Frankly, I don't care if a company has below average customer service if the product they make works properly out the gate; no returns. It's like your supporting inferior products as long as customer service picks up the phone.
