Another great video. I set mine up very similar to how you do. Great information and easy to understand for a novice.

Great video as always. I can setup basses and hardtail guitars forwards and backwards, but just getting into setting up trem systems since I just got a couple guitars with trems. Thanks again for the great content.

Hi Dylan have a doubt or question. You say that for the strat sound the neck pickup should be around 3 mm to 3 and a half. My question is... if that height is for both sides or should it be higher than the high strings?

    Now we're talking! That's a video I needed.
I tried to setup my American Original '50s, got totally lost and finished pulling the bridgeplate with the springs flush with the body and forgetting it at that

A nice video. I have that tuner and was wondering why guitar is plugged into the output side of the tuner?

I got a 61 vintage II Stratocaster. The luthier had a hell of a time with setup. My B&E string loudness still seems weak compared to G. I’m wondering if it’s the stagger of the poles. It’s 7.25 radius with a slab rosewood board. The shop is well known in my area and has got rave reviews so it concerns me when he was scratching his head over it. I saw a RUclips about pushing the staggered poles down. I wouldn’t attempt it on these pricey pickups.

Hi Dylan, can you advise on this: I just bought a SG-type guitar for a project: I have a set of P-90 I want to replace the stock humbuckers with. How do I find the exact spots where the magnets should be picking the strings, horizontally?

The floating is made possible by the bevel on the UNDERSIDE of the bridge plate

pulled my 70 to bits years ago and pretty sure i saw the bevel underneath the bridge makes sense the bevel underneath makes it possible for the bridge to move unhindered by screw slots

What are the advantages to the different neck relief measurements you mentioned around the 3:30 mark? flat, 5/1000" or 10/1000"

I know they exist, but don't know what the options are... I want a 2 1/8th screw mount hole bridge (MIM) with a 2 7/32nd string spacing (MIA Vintage).
Who here knows what to choose from? It's complex enough that I can't just search google or amazon since it confuses all the dimensions in the search. But I know these 'adapter' bridges exist from 20 year old memory...

I recently purchased a fender aerodyne and it arrived with a wood crack between the neck and neck pick up. The guitar just got discontinued and won’t be restocked/is out of stock now and fender confirmed no more will be shipped to stores. Would it be worth keeping if I like the guitar? I got a partial discount total price down to 570 which is less than used which is 800-1000. Ñwould it be fine to keep the aerodyne Strat? Idk if I can but I uploaded a few pics of the crack

I think on the feeler gauge it would read 0.005

As if the rest of the world isn't using metric.

Where is the personal agency. Never once have I been so lazy that I could not quickly google a measurement conversion?

That argument goes both ways. Google is available to you as well. There are other channels that provide the metric and don't blame the viewers. I guess it gets down to how much customer service you are motivated to offer.@@DylanTalksTone
