I Will be picking up my metallic gray mode 2024 EV Blazer RS today . Never has an ev car before. The Video gave me good information on the features of the car. I am 72 years young and this is the first time I have been excited about a car since my 69 Mustang. This is a big step for me. Can't wait to pick it up .
I purchased the 2024 Blazer RS for 47,095. I have received many complements on the look of the car, it is a great looking car. The interior has a two tone black/red, very nice and tech is good. I don't believe any EV will compare to this car at $47,095 from my time looking at other EV's. I get a laugh at the Tesla comments, as everyone knows they are way over priced and have quality issues, i know as i have some friends that own Tesla owners. Also the Tesla looks no way compare to the looks of the blazer EV. I would highly recommend to go out and look and drive the Blazer and compare, GM did a good job with this EV.
This actually looks pretty good, though GM is having a lot of issues with their EVs recently. That much money for a Chevy crossover is a bit ambitious though. For the money, the Hyundai/Kia EVs blow it away.
I have driven one a few times. They are very nice IMO. They look very sharp, at first in the pictures I was not sure. Seemed over styled but in person it is great.
I love the styling as it reminds me of the Range Rover Evoque with the lower roofline. I found out through another RUclipsr, that the actual range of this vehicle is better than the Tesla Model Y even though it is 1000 lbs. heavier. That test was in winter and driving up Colorado mountains! That's a head-scratcher. My only niggle so far is that they didn't include a rear cargo cover and Chevy doesn't even sell one yet. But on the other hand, they did include a $500 Level 2 charger while most others supply a Level 1. So far I'm loving my new Blazer EV.
223 mile range (80% daily charge limit) is not enough for this price range ($56k out the door after Federal tax credit - if they aren't marked up). That being said, I just bought a Bolt EUV as an extra car to split up my commute miles because I couldn't pass it up for $25,xxx out the door. It has ~85% of the range of the Blazer and wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay too.
WTF 80% daily charge limit is NOT RELEAVNT! Just charge it to 99% where you need more range then use it immediately. The daily charge limit is just a guideline for frequent charging behaviour. The less frequent occasion where you need lots of range just ignore the daily charge limit, it'll be fine there will be no statistically relevant degradation.
After the whole debacle with the OS for several months causing a stop in sale I've been very reluctant in going after this again. It took them 3 months to fix the issue!! No one was able to drive their vehicles.. that's very scary. I might have to treat this like I treat other 1st gen electronics... wait for 2nd gen. Am I just being paranoid? For the current price tag it's kind of insane.
Our local Chevy dealer sold one for 38k. It was the LT trim but the dealer requested for the vehicle to not be built with the two packages of extra stuff and features that it had, I saw and one package was like 1.5k and the other was like 3-4k of features. So once people found out about that price, the dealer has been completely booked on orders for that lower trim and it’s not even the base model. The base model is FWD LT which isn’t available for purchase as of May 21,24
Unlike the Chevy Bolt, this is an overpriced piece of ... GM totally messed up, same as Toyota did with the original BZ4X. Are you really going to trust them? I had a deposit down and cancelled it last summer. Then, the stop sale. The dealer contacts me again and asked when the vehicles were released again and I said, thanks but ... no. Wait 5 years before considering an EV. See what the charging infrastructure is like then. If the stations are still open to weather, have no squeegees/washer fluid at each stall and no garbage cans, at each stall, forget about it. Do you want to be treated like a 2nd class citizen? Get a hybrid instead.

Congrats! How are you liking the Blazer EV now that you've had some time to drive and own it?
saw my first one the other day. it was their metallic gray model. looks better in person

Where the heck did you get an RS for 47K? Certainly not in CA. lol
47k?
I test drive one this week. It’s a great car. Will be ordering one in November
I can see a bit of Camaro in the front end... i think it looks smart 👌

HA HA Hyundia/KIA builds the cheapest terrible cars with the worst software. This car is FAR better. Do you work for them ?
@@gregelseman8546 You do realize there was a stop sale on the Blazer EV due to SOFTWARE issues, right?
Can’t stand how expensive it is but I gotta admit the interior is neat.

Picking mine up Tuesday silver awd
We just bought one over Memorial Day weekend same color and I absolutely love it. Same model also.

Nice review! Subscribed based on this video. The big thing that will hold back sales in the price point. $55k - $65K.
Thanfully they dropped the prices, 47-48k for these which is far more appropriate than 60k
Ray is where my Trax came from.

How come you have to buy an ev to get that awesome COLOR interior. Finally something other than dull drab grey and black.
Seems like a nice EV. I wonder how it compares with its competitors in the EV space.

60k? I want what GM's smoking
It saves you 60k in gas over what you are driving now.
@@gregelseman854660k in gas would be a lifetimes worth of gas its most definitely not worth buying just based on that
That pricing is incorrect. The RS here is about $50k, not far from the regular Blazer but nicer and saves most people >$1k per year.

37k for a used ev rs with 3k miles on it. Yes 3,000 miles on it. Fully loaded
I’m excited to be ordering a 2025 in November for my Birthday 🎂
I went with the Equinox EV over the Blazer EV. Fantastic car.
Very interesting but the price is a bit much
Nice video!
I dont trust that GM can make this without problems. they have a hard enough time building a reliable ICE vehicle
Understandable, but I've had my Chevy Bolt EUV for 2 years and 71k so far with not one issue.
The red adds 5 horsepower.
Too expensive for an American cuv .
7:18 my leaf doesn’t have a powered tailgate
lol, based on the title I was afraid it had malfunctioned. kidding! ... first
Not bad, I wish it was called something else & I wish the price was more...REALISTIC!
GM has to pay the union.
@@bwofficial1776GM can pay the union with Mary Barra’s salary. The wicked witch doesn’t deserve the salary she has.
Why it saves you 60k in gas over 10 years seem like a deal
These are definitely not selling
And now Chevy has been a STOP on selling more!
$56,000 is a lot of gas money
at $4 a gallon thats 14,000 gallons of gasoline
So this saves you 14,000 in gas that means it will pay for itself.
279 at 100% is crap
They could have made this a wrangler/bronco competitor.. but they didn’t so. Big L
can't wait for that fancy oversized charge port door to get stuck in one inch of frozen Colorado snow (I could live with that but ... just why?)
Because your diesel truck wont start at all unless you have to light a fire underneath it.
It is in a place that will not cake up with snow most of the time. I think it will be fine. My dad in MN has had no issues with it.
looks good, wont sell...
Why it saves you 60k in gas in 10 years. Seems like a bargain.
@@gregelseman8546 More like $15k
Another flop
I wonder how the Honda version will do since it at-least carries Honda’s Japanese street cred
I hate electric cars but at least it has some performance compared to others in its class.
@@Inferno45 The Prologue's interior is very GM. Honda has already ended their partnership with GM and the Prologue will be the only Ultium Honda.
The car or the video?
Just like Honda and Toyota make all flops . This will sell VERY well because its quality no matter what you Toyota tolls say.

Ha you work for the oil companies ?
I have driven my dad's multiple times. You should try one before you judge it so harshly. Why wait 5 years?
Junk EV
Junk like what you drive
Doubt you can afford a rusted out cavalier so stfu
Do you care how uneducated and uninformed you sound?
