Dragging anchor is a real drag...glad it did not result in any damage. Easiest fix is to wrap some line around the hinge and seal/glue it with water proof glue so it stays fixed. A lot less $$ than a new one but - keep that on the upgrade list fur sur
Hi earth dream girl on the ocean. Ty for this and all the beautiful videos you share. I love the plan to swim if u see a whale. My spirit can feel the joy of your tropical sails. I will appreciate that the whale gets to meet you as a living loving muse of a human species. May we all respect their freedom and perfect ecosystems. ✨🤍✨..wish you safe travels and blessings in all ways always ✨💕✨
Hey Olivia, I love to watch you sailing in very lovely places. Here in Franconia it is hazy, cold and uncomfortable. With all the problems you are enduring, be aware that you are experiencing wonderful things, beautiful places, challenging severe situations, living a real life close to nature, very far ahead from a "normal" life. You encourage me to enhance and widen my life, so feel hugged by a bear, by me. You deserve it. Faserpelz
Fire dance at Ficus... tops. Every Friday night we get that now. CQR is anything but. Get rid of that thing. But you won't need to have an anchor for GG... no stopping. Pier to pier.
I love that you are right by that fire dance right now! It's so cool. Well I'm required a 45 lb anchor the race, so gonna upgrade in weight and get a rocna :)
You know, that stone snake in the temple might help to explain those fellas playin' with they snakes, which might help to explain how they all got out there in the first place.
Hi Olivia...what was the current doing? The tides around those islands move lots of water, of course you know this. Just a nudge from me to add into your considerations of what may have caused Juniper's ground tackle to drag. I looked at Sail-Data to get Juniper's specs. Juniper displaces 16,900 lbs. What size/lbs. anchor is your CQR? Looking on West Marine, if I was in the market for an anchor, the Plow and Scoop looks like it would be my choice. In Ra'iatea, can you get a Plow/scoop at the spec to hold Juniper confidently ? Also, is your chain and line setup good to go? I'd like to help you get the proper anchor. Find my email on my channel. Standing by...Merry Christmas!
Yea it was probably the current, but normally the boats switch direction in the currents and we were all still facing the same way. Or maybe she dragged at the tip top of the high when it switched back. Oh wow! That is such a nice offer!!! Wow wow wow! Ok I will email you shortly :) thank you so much 💕
@@wildernessofwaves Do you review before posting? Half of what you say is unintelligable . This isn't swirling wild nature, it's microphone interference.
@@friarfox YEA I spend a lot of time creating these. I cannot control nature. I am sorry you don't like my channel, but please remember that when people create on youtube they are human beings just like you with feelings too, and your negative comments impact people. You could have said something constructive in a pleasant way, like " hey I really like this, but I can't hear you over the wind and really wish that I could." Or offered to send a wind screen for my microphone or something nice, but instead you chose to be rude. I don't really understand your decision to do so, but I do wish you well and hope you can find something more tolerable and to your taste out there. No need to tell me you how you feel about mine, just float on.
@@wildernessofwaves Actually I found the rest interesting and am sorry if you interpret direct as rudeness. Sound is a common rookie mistake. As you say , no point in following a channel that does not want my input. Best of luck.
@@friarfoxI'm not a rookie I have three feature films in the world that I directed, shot, and edited and they are taught in universities and screened in museums and you try sailing solo and making perfect everything!

Awe thank you so much! Yea this is all part of the adventure! I think French Polynesia is maybe just telling me it's time for Fiji :)
@@wildernessofwaves It's always good to listen to your inner voice. The first feeling is usually the right one. Sail on, brave girl!
Glad to see you stayed afloat, looking forward to the story of how your new anchor “finds” you 😉
Happy birthday. I’m jealous of your journey. Safe sailing thanks for the content.
Thanks for sailing along!
Great video as always. I hope you solve the problem with your anchor.

@@wildernessofwaves probably good to have but you have to hope you never have to use it. We have Rocna. Had a 55 on the CORNELIA. They rock.

Awesome video!!
💕💖🌸🌈
That’s so scary you dragging like that four times you’re one brave girl. You really need to treat yourself to a new anchor the dream could be over.
Tropical scene seems so far from my stormy British winter.
Solid English accent at 4:37. I give it 8/10
😂 that's pretty good! 8 of 10! Thanks 😂
You got out of Vanuatu just in time... they were devastated by the earthquake.
you need a rocna anchor . and swivel .ck. out fair lsle sailing . love your videos . bill
Agreed! Rocna is top on the list :) thank you and thanks for watching!
The noise from the wind is intollerable.
Why watch sailing if you don't like the sound of the wind?
