Lovely community “good feel’s here”. Stunningly beautiful cruising playgrounds, wonderfully captured and a story told. Smoky malt liquor fore my soul !. Until the next page turns, thanx.
Awesome, thanks for the kind words. You make killer videos too! And do fine work! I’ve been stocking up on nice wood and sharpening my tools for some fun work the past few weeks, yall are a good inspiration. Cheers! Hope to see you out there when you splash.
I bought a 1973 sailboat last year so I grabbed my toolbox from my 1973 VW bus to do some work on it. I was out cruising around and noticed the same issue, my alternator belt was just about to go and was slipping. I searched the boat up and down to see if the previous owners had a spare but no luck. Then, when I was grabbing some tools I saw that I had a spare belt for my VW in the toollbox. Exact same size. Now I have two spares on board as well.
Hi Barry and Hailey. What a beautiful video. You are getting so good at the artistic part of filming. Love it. Also loved the bay you anchored on the way down to Port Townsend. Can you respond here with the name of the bay? I think you mentioned it was in Lopez Island but I didnt recognize it and would love to visit it :). Thanks!
Do you think long term you might simplify and improve your Aux power by going Electric hybrid generator power .. like the Edison Logging trucks in BC have with Topsy... Or their specialist service eg Welding, pick up electric hybrid conversions. There's something peacefull in the almost monochrome light of a misty morning ... Good to see Peter from sailing Geordie.. I only recently found out he stated out as an architect building traditional timber framed and styled house 🏠 in Nova Scotia and Cape cod areas..
Peter is amazing. Such a kind soul, always a pleasure when he’s around. If our motor ever died, I would consider the hybrid setup, or even all electrical. I would hit up every sponsor I know and try and get as much capacity as possible yet probably still have a small generator somewhere for emergency top up.
Hm when you explained the engine driven bilge pump in another episode I thought " very clever and useful, but there's got to be a catch..." Glad it turned out OK.
I’m now caught up watching your vlogs. Really enjoy videos. However, just me saying, background music is way to loud, very hard for me to understand what you are saying. Perhaps portable mics, that you wear, will soon be in your future. More episodes soon, please.
Absolutely agreed. We do have some so the content we’re filming now for winter is going to solve this :) and some headphones for proper audio mixing. I appreciate you hangin in there despite the obvious flaws :)

Absolutely. One more thing to maintain. One more thing to get in the way.
@@SailorBarryBeats being stuck hand-pumping the ol' diaphragm pump . Every good thing has a price.
