I was wondering if there was something like a game where you can fly through fractals as if you were operating a spaceship. I guess the beauty and definition would not approach what we see in this video, but I could spend hours flying around and discover the endless beauty of those things.
i dont know why im crying... maybe its the awe-some-ness of of its infinite nature thats mind boggling. the designs, colors, time, space, freedom, etc., theres so much translation to this, one can never understand its ultimate end and purpose.
BRILLIANT! I JUST LOVE THIS. Thanks Christian. Clearly you are very passionate and deep about your work. Hope to see more along these lines. Cheers. Alan
Imagine what could be done graphically if this is combined with a high quality ray-tracer engine. Ofcourse we would need a supercomputer to do that in realtime but still...
Boxplorer can do this in Real-Time. I'm not kidding. I've wandered around this very world, in 3D with head tracking, thanks to my Oculus Rift and a Rift-compatible version of Boxplorer. 30fps or more.
This is the most amazing fractal zoom I have ever seen-- or ever will see!!! Absolutely astounding. Bravo!! (btw - to get around music license, put title of music in title of video, and mention in the info box that no copyright infringement is intended. It doesn't hurt to put an iTunes link in as well. )
Thanks! I'm also working on spectral analysis of especially electronic compositions. You'll find some animated sonograms on my channel, the best way to know exactly what's happening inside a musical piece. With Max from Cycling'74 or Pure Data it's also possible to generate a real-time data output while playing a track and to connect it to the "outer software world" via MIDI or (better) OSC.
Awesome work! Great upload. I noticed that you are looking for music...why not try some music that isn't so typical? Just a thought. Most fractal videos use techno, trance, or some related genre. Nothing against that...but it would be nice for the mind to experience some variation.
Imagine if somebody could figure out the algorithm for the universe, in the same way algorithms can generate fractals. The universe being a fractal makes sense with the fact that the universe is never-ending
Wait, wait.... You mean you're recirding a frame every few seconds? That's crazy fast. When rendering fractals, I say 1 minute per frame is fast. My latest render took about half an hour to render a frame.. I just left the PC on for a couple weeks (I have to mention the result was just beatiful)
Wow. this is great! I had a kind of dream vision last night involving textures, structures and fractals, realizing that this is like 4 dimension art. I was wondring how to create such stuff and started research...because in have no technical knowledge how to make stuff like this. I guess you need a hell lot of computer capacity and some programms to create loops, textures and fractals...Is it possible to create something like this like a collage with given movement loops of film?
Thats why you need GPU. Fragmentairum is a 3d fractal program being developed to run purely in GLSL shader language. about 100 times the speed of a cpu if you use a 7970 card. Its still in beta, and its animation capability is still lacking. but you can make amazing single frames in a fraction of a second.
@natemeyer91 I rendered this same sequence in 1920x1080 at 30 fps in 20 minutes. That's ~3 fps realtime on a mid-level AMD 5850 GPU. Graphics cards these days are crazy powerful and this type of rendering hits their sweet spot. Rays are reflected at most twice if I remember correctly in this rendering. Probably just a 2x slowdown over no reflections.
Is this a mandelbox/folding integer power(8) julia section hybred? Its very nice, i ask because i get something that looks like this when I user mandelbulb 3d with those hybreds. The reflections arent as nice as this though. Thanks
or that one day computers are so powerful that it would project the image straight into your brain where you could control it completely with thoughts just like you would a dream
So what areas of this 3d fractal have a valuation = 0, and which fly off into infinity? & in these large circles. Does a zed value at that area yield a perfect value that stays in circulation like a circle?
It would take hours for us to figure out the code for the .cfg file of these visuals in boxplorer2. can you upload the .cfg files to this for someplace? ty :)
Sometimes I like to pretend my body is a universe of its own, full of intelligent life and a vast array of technology greater than our own. They live on my skin, the out worlders, and on the inside, the demon clan spawn... wars have raged, civilisations destroyed, the great forest of my pubic region harvested leaving a drought plaguing billions, the stench of the nether regions (the crack of the universe as it is known) This video best describes the colony currently occupying my balls.
Sehr schöne Animation. Wenn Interesse an elektronischen Sounds besteht , kann ich vielleicht weiterhelfen. Ich würde mich über ein gemeinsames Projekt freuen.
so its a giant sphere connected with other spheres and it got spheres on itselv but its a sphere on a much bigger sphere and the sphere got spheres inside? O.o
Ok and seriously what are those orbs doing? Are they like holding each other together or is that like a bunch of planets mad at each other and they are sending nukes to kill each other?

Austounding fractals in 3D...somehow nature as a whole is a fractal itself, like looking in a 3-wall-mirrored box, that seems to trend to null
Damn and I thought only Mandelbrot was so beautiful. This is simply amazing.
BRILLIANT! I JUST LOVE THIS. Thanks Christian. Clearly you are very passionate and deep about your work. Hope to see more along these lines. Cheers. Alan
WOW!!!! this is awesome! thanks for this. We need more of this kind of computer art. Just gorgeous.
This is my all time favorite 3D fractal zoom!
Imagine what could be done graphically if this is combined with a high quality ray-tracer engine. Ofcourse we would need a supercomputer to do that in realtime but still...
Any other Fractal can't interest me after watching this. The best have seen.
Math is Structure. Knowledge is power. Math is the basis for all knowledge that we hold. so you sir, are correct.

Oh... wait for it... and... yep, there goes my mind. It is now mush. Damn it.
I'll be in touch, working on some deep synthy electro breaks...
lol that music .. by the time I realised it was accelerating I was already headbanging to it XD
Thanks! I'm also working on spectral analysis of especially electronic compositions. You'll find some animated sonograms on my channel, the best way to know exactly what's happening inside a musical piece.

I don't know why I'm watching this, but I'm glad that I am.
I hope that one day computers are so powerful that we can just explore these without having to wait for frames to be rendered.
We'll donate some music for the next one! This is awesome mate!
The videos over but the songs still playing. Sweet.
Velmi zajímavý svět..děkuji a přeji pohodový rok 2013.Vě

came for the fractal stayed for the tune... banger
damn those reflections must have taken a long time to get rendered out.
A 3D universe of spitting Mandelbrot sets.
nice fractal! you should render that in 1080p, that would be wonderful :)

Impressive Fractal Geometry!
Fantastic visuals. Thanks for sharing!
Would love to know what the music is. It's a really good track :)
The ride never ends

most impressive!

Seems to me like a great way to explain the Neuronal connectivity of the brain.
Fractals are so cool.
Congratulations on beating glaucoma, man!
A fantastic video. Great work! The track is cool too ; )
Pretty awsome, Christian.

Looks cool ^^ i wonder what type of game could be played in there^^
Really nice work! Impressive!
Does the remind anyone of the Incredibles? Those fat spider looking things look like that robot he had to fight in the city.
Looks like from a nice sci-fi movie.
I would love to render a video from this fractal! Also, im a musician who would love to provide for your videos...
Don't ever delete this video!
Brilliant work !!!
or that one day computers are so powerful that it would project the image straight into your brain where you could control it completely with thoughts just like you would a dream
amazingly beautiful. thanks for sharing.
"Unfortunately no one can be told what the matrix is... You have to see it for yourself."
a real masterpiece!
Awesome work
Beautiful!
Thanks for sharing.
this is like flying around in star wars
I think it looks like giant blob aliens pissing on fellow aliens who are pissing everywhere. Its a pissing invasion.

Wow ! LOVE IT !!
I have no words!
perhaps one
Wow!
How in the world did this indicate 2:46 YET get to 8:00??? Trippy rabbit-hole!!!
amazing madness!
Someone should use this tool to create a virtual human body. It could be very educational. And very cool.
nice head trip if you can get there... with the help of some decent drugs to add to the affects...
Quaternion !
This looks like animating it would make your computer crash unless if it had some pretty high specs.

Awesome. What's the name of the track?
It`s so great !!! I love it ; )
in a world tethered by tethers tethering tethers to tethers by tethers.
I've got to clean out that stuff in the back of my refrigerator.
Sehr schöne Animation. Wenn Interesse an elektronischen Sounds besteht , kann ich vielleicht weiterhelfen. Ich würde mich über ein gemeinsames Projekt freuen.
I wanna watch this while high!
Could you provide the formula?
Amazing.
what is the formula for this/
+Stefan C Looks like Amazing surf to me, something along these lines
grahamsym.deviantart.com/art/Amazing-Technicolor-Surf-512087512
If you download Boxplorer2 it's called Reflectoids.
wonderful
@mschilder123 Very nice, I'm in need of a hardware update! cool stuff though.
how cities will be build in the future
Awesome!
nice work :-)
Amazing!!!!
nice work :)
So this is how Cthulhu's homeworld looks like...
no way! this is fucking awesome
this is most definitely for stoners but it is quite good work nicely done.
WOW AWESOME
I'm wondering if the universe is structured like this?
delicate
Damnnnn.
Beautiful
... and the same, ... and the same,... and the same,... and the same - real HELL!
so its a giant sphere connected with other spheres and it got spheres on itselv but its a sphere on a much bigger sphere and the sphere got spheres inside? O.o
I was expecting to see Marshmallow in the centre and its just strings, disappointing... ;o)
You think someone has already made a chip with this?
Why and how does the music go on if the video stops?
As it is rendered? Is generating mesh or post effect?
Awesome
amazing!!! thanks
Ok and seriously what are those orbs doing? Are they like holding each other together or is that like a bunch of planets mad at each other and they are sending nukes to kill each other?
video is over but music still running...? ...sorcery... ?
What algorithm did you use to generate this? It's stunning
