    The ultimate holiday dinner dish - a perfectly seasoned, roasted garlic and herb ribeye roast with buttery mashed potatoes and easy pan gravy. Not only is this beef roast super impressive, it’s also incredibly delicious, flavorful, juicy, and most importantly, very easy to make! It’s seasoned with an olive oil spread made with garlic, thyme, rosemary, and a touch of Worcestershire and Dijon mustard. The aroma alone is mouthwatering! Serve it with my ‘Buttery Mashed Potatoes’ to make it a meal.

    It looks really good. I have never made a roast. We usually eat Mexican food but I want to try something new for the new year. My oven isn’t working, can this be made in an oven roaster? Have a blessed Christmas and New Year

      It's a great choice for the holidays! As long as the oven roaster can get to the right temperature, I don't see why it wouldn't work. Enjoy!

    Good Day Chef 🧑‍🍳, Perfect temperature 🌡️ MMM. I also like to put veggies under a roast. I usually put a Meirpoix but leave the celery and carrots whole (split the carrot if thick) with thick onion slices and a few cloves of garlic 🧄. As the roast cooks it will infuse the veggies into the drippings. I do lightly score the roast. If I may suggest add a parsnip to the roasting pan and add that to your mashed potatoes when you smash'em. Have a Blessed and Beautiful Day 🇺🇸✝️🇺🇦🌹🥀🌷☮️💘🙏🎄

      Good morning! I love that idea, I'll definitely try both the mirepoix and the parsnip next time. Always learning and trying new things :)

      @@TatyanasEverydayFood Hi again 🇺🇦🧑‍🍳, I also like to puree the cooked Meirpoix in the pan drippings and strain it as well. This also makes a great French 🥖 Dip sandwich too. I sold more sandwiches with the leftover prime rib than I did dinners. Gotta have good crispy bread MMM MMM MMM. ✝️

    What temperature was the roast before you put it into the oven? Did you get it to the room temperature or it was straight from the fridge?

    • @TatyanasEverydayFood
      @TatyanasEverydayFood  6 месяцев назад +1

      Not quite room temp; I had mine out for about 45 minutes before going into the oven. My recommendation is to use a digital meat thermometer for the perfect roast :)

    Can i cook this to 160°? My family can't stand pink on red meat, we have never eaten prime rib for that reason

    • @TatyanasEverydayFood
      @TatyanasEverydayFood  Год назад +1

      Absolutely! You'll just need to adjust the cooking time and roast for longer. Make sure to cover the roast with foil after about 30 to 45 minutes so it doesn't get too dark. Enjoy!
