    I've been looking for a new brushed motor to replace my Injora 50T as I'm just not happy with it. I have a Furitek Iguana ESC w/Bluetooth that's only for brushed so I really don't wanna spend the coin to go brushless.. You sir have saved the day as I'm buying one riigh now!!

      I have the same esc with a Holmes hobbies 87t in my trx4m. Performance is as good as brushless imo. Not too sure how many turns these fcx24 ones are though

      @@S5UPERCHARGED looking into it further, torque seems low at 365g-cm.
      Wish I could find the torque specs on the Injora & Mofo motors to compare but I can't find em..

    The NSR EVO’s are really good. I finally got my Blazer and already ordered one before watching this. The smasher has such good slow speed control with I knew it would be great in the K5. Also they sell a variety of rpm’s that may be better suited for crawling but who cares when you can have all that power on tap. Only issue is the open slots allow sand to jam up the motor sometimes. I got the FMS heat sinks to try and cover the holes with and keep sand and mud out. But I’m still very happy with the motors so far 👍

      Just wrap some tape or a sticker you like over the motor

    Ended up picking up this motor and I get cut out with stock and aftermarket battery. My motor was also loud as well with no rubbing. Mine also overheated several times of down time during a trail run. Currently in the middle of fitting the furitek motor and esc in mine I’ll let you know how it goes.

    • @2fmrc
      @2fmrc  Год назад

      It’s definitely much louder than the stock motor but I haven’t had any other issues with mine. That stinks!

  • @FarmerFpv
    @FarmerFpv Год назад +2

    It could be your steering servo spiking the esc making it cut out when going from forward to reverse so abruptly. Have had that happen with an EcoPower servo that was going bad. It would cause my esc BEC to go into protection mode under full throttle and reverse like that. Try unplugging the servo and see if it still happens?

    • @stefan-norge
      @stefan-norge Год назад

      Had the same, servo changed and it was gone 👍🏻

    • @2fmrc
      @2fmrc  Год назад

      I honestly haven’t had much issue with it but get tons of messages from people saying theirs cuts out when going from forward to reverse. It did it a tiny bit in the blue smasher in the vid but some have to completely unplug the battery and plug it back up to get it running again.

    Did you have to add a heat sink (to cool motor) or use a battery without pcm protection? Or is everything stock except the 130 motor?

  • @andrewrichey7374

    Dang sure does, I have a couple speed motors and heat sinks haven’t put them in nothing yet

    Preferably with a Furitek ESC so we can see if it smooths out even more!

    The course is looking sick so cool to watch it come along great creativity my man k5 is looking good out there!! Appreciate you!! And for the motor definitely looks cooler than the speed motor lol does it run cooler tho? cuz my speed motor is always so hot and I rarely do forward to reverse fast and I get brown outs under high loads the motor is always super hot when that happens

    Do these k5s have metal transmission? Also are there any bushings in there or is it all bearing?

    • @hobbycow5346
      @hobbycow5346 Год назад +1

      I’m almost positive the stock transmission has plastic gears (I haven’t got my K5 yet, but researched it to death), but FMS does sell the metal transmission gear kit upgrade for $16 sold from them direct.

    How dose it crawl in low speed just as good as stock?

    • @2fmrc
      @2fmrc  Год назад +1

      I’d say not quite as good as stock but not far off. Well enough I’m probably going to leave it in mine. I was in low in the crawling toward the end. Does pretty well.

    • @stefan-norge
      @stefan-norge Год назад +1

      From my point of view it is very close. But I did not leave the speed motor in my modified power wagon because the axles etc cannot handle the power for a longer time when you bash it. It stripped out…. In the smasher with all metall gears and open diffs it is just a must and a lot of fun 👍🏻
