- The most interesting ancient sites in Egypt are not always the most visited. In quiet valleys, near the edge of small towns, and along remote stretches of the Nile can be found unusual and mysterious ruins. Cinematically shot in large-format 4K, this is as close as you can get to exploring a select group of these sites without having to brave the dust and heat of Egypt.

The Dynastic Egyptians went from sloppy mud bricks to perfect stone masonry in less than a hundred years? Nope. I do love your video, though. The style is absolutely majestic.
You assume that their stone working skills started with building rather than elsewhere.
ie trade.
The stone jars and other objects they made in the pre and early dynastic epochs evolved their skills over time and informed a familiarity with the various varieties of stone and its properties that made it the obvious evolution for buildings commissioned by royals/nobles and priests.
People on alt history channels often ask why the greater part of the populace lived in mud huts when they should have had the skills to work in stone.
The obvious answer is that mud brick is cheap and quick to work with.
Stone takes time to mold to its form, and it's expensive in labour and time to move from one place to another so the cost of producing buildings made from stone was consequently very high.
This meant that only the rich and powerful could truly afford to commission stone building projects.
Even a master stone mason cannot afford to take large amounts of time out of their work day to build their own home due to needing to spend that time working on commissions.
More than likely also some degree of power was accorded to people capable of having a stone building, so you can imagine that the already powerful did not easily share such privilege and those who tried to gain it for themselves may well have found themselves an asp in their bed sooner than later.

It's actually sad for me. What was once a beautiful civilization now only a shell of a ghost of bygone day's. 😢 What an amazing time period it must have been.
That's not true, how can mudbrick structures be older than the stone structures of Egypt, the mudbrick erodes so much quicker. If you think the mudbrick is 2500bc, then the Ancient stone structures must be tens of thousands of years old. Most Geologists that have observed the weathering of the stone structures believe they are far older than previously thought....

I was spell bound.thank you so much..the lazy bastards who lived around these buildings never were interested, but now want to show everyone around the ruins like they discovered them.such a shame because we might’ve have legends.

Why kings of those times spent time ,wealth and resources just for building tombs. Through out their life their only work was building tombs.

I am so frustrated, you used faint white letters which aren't bright enough to see!! Once in awhile the lettering got bright and I was able to read what was written but overall I have no idea what your telling us!!! The title sparked my interest and the intrigue of this subject thought I'd learn some interesting, fascinating information but I leave feeling frustrated and unfulfilled!!

This is a perfect visual bed to introduce in the audio realm something that is constantly neglected and specifically needed. Direct spoken translations of the writings on the walls IN TOTAL. In a beautiful female voice. Put the Egyptologists TO SHAME.
