- It is July 2021, and it's been six years since our last trip to the Autobahn near Wittenberg, Germany. We have been to this city a few times, to remind us of the great reformer - Martin Luther. We are thankful for his hunger for Truth, his obedience to the Word of God, rather than the traditions of man and his courage to stand up to tyranny and oppression, even if it would cost him his life. We recommend the book Great Controversy, where this history is explained and reveals what is happening in our time today and where we are heading.
After our trip, on Sunday morning, we performed a speed test, but this time with the Bugatti Chiron. We also tested the Porsche 911 Turbo, Lamborghini Aventador and the Bentley Flying Spur. (Those cars might be in a different video).
The section of the A2 was a 3 lane, 10 km straightaway with a light descent in the middle, so there was visibility along the whole stretch. Safety was a priority, so the circumstances had to be safe to go.
We thank God for the safety and good circumstances, as we were able to reach the speed of 414 km/h!
We hope you enjoy the video and yes, we made this video for you to feel the excitement in the Chiron, but also to consider a relationship with Jesus, who brings true love, joy and hope to anybody who comes to Him.

And to beat Bugatti, GTR Alpha or Aloha or whatever should take a Guinness world records in Volkswagen's Ehra-Lessien test track in Germany to reach over than 490km/h

As a citizen who lives in a country plagued with terrible accidents and reckless driving, I commend you for taking every precaution possible for this run. Your timing was right and there isnt a hint of recklessness in this video. The first sign of your utmost responsibility was evident when waiting for the bend to end before opening her up. A man cant be criticized for driving at high speed on a road with no speed limits set while taking every precaution possible. If I could ever afford such a vehicle I will follow your example. 5:10 The Chiron has amazing stability control considering the fact that he just momentarily lifted his hands off the steering wheel at 300km/h!

At 300 km/h the gyroscopic effect is so large, there is no problem at taking the hands off the wheel, because the car will keep going straight forward.

I've never owned a single car 😁 nor driven one, I can only imagine how challenging it must have been to stay focused at such high speed. I desire to one day fly through the highway at maybe half such speeds. 😊😊
15 years ago I had a very fast car, I accelerated it up to 270 km / h on an empty highway, I was in the left lane, I saw a car in the right lane, without any other car, I was passing it was a simple smart, suddenly it moved for no reason in front of my car, luckily I was able to brake, with all the force that the brakes and tires of my car had and to avoid an accident, I stopped immediately after, the tires of my car they were smoking, I could see the steam rising up the hood, the smart one only went 120km / h, the speed difference was 150km / h could have killed us. Some speeds can be reached but only in particular situations, nobody can be trusted and they can be blamed. There are circuits or airports for some things, create a circuit long enough to run with cars even at 1000km / h, but on the road keep in mind that 1 person is worth 1.

Paráda! Jsem rád, že ještě existují lidé, co tahle hypersportovní auta dokáží užívat k tomu, k čemu byly stvořena. Dosahování vysokých rychlostí. A ne je jen nechat leštit v ohromných skrytých garážích a najezdit s tím většinu kilometrů jen mezi garáží a odtahovkou do servisu na pravidelnou prohlídku. Chápu, že ta "sranda" používat tato auta něco stojí, ale lepší si užít tu zábavu s nimi, než kupovat další a další.

Nice car from the VW group. Just bought a 2 door Seat Mii (still with manual handles for the windows, no cruise control, massive 60 hp) and tried it on the motorway. Reached a whopping 120 km/h !

I don't believe it can be faster than this
The thing with transport is the surrounding road infrastructure and what you would exclude from the roads fielding such cars as a routine. You would probably have to have some form of signalling and advance warning devices similar to HST signalling. The cars themselves would definitely have to be tested thoroughly regarding brakes, tyres, suspension etc. and good luck getting to do this with bog standard licence or driver health.
you would have to adopt aviation standards of personnel health and vehicle condition to pull this stuff off.

Everything was done within the rules. The transport ministry seems to be trying to put more weight on the opinion of its current members that it does on the actual rules and laws. One would understand if they were careless, but it is evident that alot of planning went into this. Many of us viewers are happy for him and enjoyed the ride as well.
The challenge itself is impressive and winning it is exciting, but your victory is not just in your arms and your ability to drive well in a flying machine, but having a God and Jesus so close showing your reverence to the Creator who allow your victories... There still were some cars around. Question : what if you had any issue at more than 110mt per second? Are you so sure you won't involve any one around?even on the other highway opposite line?
There is only soo much you can do to ensure safety while driving, weather it is 140 or 400 and after that, prayer is the only safety that can help.

I could easily kill someone with my car doing the speed limit if something went suddenly wrong whether the speed limit is 75, 55, or even 35mph.
The difference here is that people in Germany know not to camp out in the left lane and there are strict requirements on vehicles and granting driver's licenses. That's why, per 100,000 vehicles on the road, the number of traffic-related deaths in Germany are less than half of what they are in the US where I live.
Do higher speeds equate to higher risk? Absolutely. But there are so many other risks that we ignore on a daily basis that are a much greater danger to safety than what this man did. Additionally, those parts of the Autobahn are engineered to maximize safety. Unlike in the US where it's not uncommon to hit portions of highway that are in disrepair (potholes, buckled roadway, uneven roadway, etc.) or debris which greatly contributes to a situation where "any issue" would more likely occur.
I'd love for the US to have an autobahn system with sections having unlimited speed but until we're willing to invest in properly engineered roads and train our drivers to drive properly, we'll be restricted to much lower speeds (max speed in the US is 80mph/~130kmh) and yet still suffer more traffic-related deaths.
Imagine making an entire video to risk it all bringing such a fantastic machine to it's limits only to be replaced by bad camera angles and squeaking sound effects and a camera of the speedometer covering up all of the noises of the engine going there with him and wasting all of our time. Thanks

I've seen another video with a Chiron, which reached 490 km/h.
The car is sweet but involving the public isn't cool. Take it to the salt flats or arrange to have the road closed next time you want to do something that dangerous.
How was the filming at 4:37, 4:44, and 4:53 done? The only way possible is another car going equally fast.

No za mě moc hezké video. Jsem rád, když taková auta jen nesedí v garáži a opravdu jezdí. Je až s podivem jak v pohodě a kultivovaně ten vůz v takových rychlostech působí. Opravdu velký inženýrský počin. 💪

Řidič to vzal zodpovědně viz výše popis akce a nevidím v tom nic špatného z mého laického pohledu. Podle mě je nebezpečnější důchodce ve felicii než týpek v chironu na skoroprázdné dálnici.

What is fuel consumption at 400 kmph? 200 or 300 l/100km?
To put this into perspective, it's double freefall velocity and four times the maximum speed limit on any road on the island I live on. Cool video, thank you for it and for doing it in as responsible and legal a way possible. The Chiron is a landmark car for the whole automotive industry, if I could I would.
