    PertSnergleman's Review:
    -------------------------------------------
At the 1991 US Open, Stefan Edberg was in the so-called “zone” (when an athlete can do no wrong) since this fourth round match, when he dispatched Michael Chang in straight sets. I n this mind-set, he believed he could do anything at any time. He tried shots that usually qualify as risky, and they worked.
    Enjoy!

1:22:32 point is absolutely unique & phenomenal. The fact it is Chang who goes to the net and ends up volleying while Edberg is defending makes it even more unreal & fascinating. Props to Mr Chang for clapping at its magnificent outcome at 1:22:45 , that's real Sportsmanship !

Unusually, Chang wasnt seeded at that US Open. His year had been very disappointing. Edberg too had had a frustrating year: losing from match point up against Lendl at the Australian Open, falling flat against Courier at the French Open, and then having the shock loss to Stich at Wimbledon when he was heavy favourite. This was the match where Edberg really showed he was going to be tough to beat at that US Open.

the reason edberg beat chang in straight sets at the us open a lot easier than in 92 is because the usta slowed the court down after 91, the court was much faster here.and then they slowed it down even more in 93.
