Thank goodness you did not put the cat down. He is very young and still has full of life and energy. He will be fine with three legs. Many animals have have their legs amputated for many reasons and have survived. Also I like the color beige much better, especially in a small space. Neutral colors are always best with white trims.
Awe your sweet cat makes me cry, my mother lost her kitty in Nov from kidney failure he was 19. But he lived most of his life with 3 legs and then about 5 years ago had to have an eye removed. Your cat will be fine. 💕 they do quite well. We put a step stool for him to get on the couch or bed to help decrease the distance he had to jump. Lovely video, all the best 💕🇨🇦

And I am glad to hear you have a community where you live, me and my husband also moved to the countryside 4 years ago, and everything you say is true. Happy with your decision. I lived on a farm as a child, and we actually had a cat that was born with only three legs. And as children, of course we named him "Three Legger". Not very original, but apt. He did very well, as your cat seems to be doing. Also LOVE your videos of nature! I take still pictures when it is so beautiful out, but your films are wonderful. He could still have such a long and full life, and as the vets you talked to said, because he is young he will adapt very well. I know several people who have three-legged pets and they all live great lives! They still run and play and act as if they have all four legs. I'm sure Flint will have a very long, happy life!
Your video is stunning. I totally understand where you were coming from regarding moving away from your old life. I too moved away from family and friends , to the countryside. I’m not a particularly outgoing person but knew I had to make a real effort to join in with the people around me. Now nearly two years later, I have several new friends and can’t imagine returning to live in a large town.
I hope you don't get any backlash. Dogs and cats can get along with 3 legs, so you absolutely made the right decision in my opinion. Cats don't feel sorry for themselves and they dont feel bad they have 3 legs. He's happy he's not in pain any more and can walk and run pretty much like before. Here in the US I think most people would make the same decision. I'm glad to see that the Veterinarian who commented below me agrees as well!

I watch your videos for a few months now and you should never apologize for the decisions you make for yourself. You do what is right for you. If someone doesn't agree that is their right but they don't have the justification to criticize another. I personally would have come to the same choice if he would my cat. We are cat lovers but after having had the most amazing cat in the world and loosing him to old age, we have not gotten another. He was everything to us! We never had children and he was our family. Our cats before him were also but this one was extra special. So yes you did the right thing to follow your heart. And you can see he is happy and adjusting. I had to do the same thing with my cat and she got along just fine..I'm really happy I did it and boy she could walk and run just fine with three legs..so I'm happy you gave your pet another chance at living a longer life.
I had to have one of dogs leg amputated because of cancer. Animals do fine with three legs. I also adopted another three legged dog. Do not worry about what other people think. You do what is best for the cat, because you love her.

I spent some time in Norway several years ago and loved the beauty but I didn’t spend enough time in the countryside, so now I enjoy your videos and hope to return one day for more exploration. I would make the same choice for my cat if he were so young. I have a senior cat (17 years) who is slowing down these days.

25 yr ago, our cat had his front leg removed. He quickly adapted and was so even still able to hunt. He lived for many more years and was very very happy. ♥️

This was the 3rd video of yours I've watched and I'm settling down for number 4 now .Not being able to walk more than a few yards I am enjoying the breathtaking beauty of your filming . I am hoping to discover you making some craft type projects or making things from the natural resources local to your home but I will have to wait and see. I have discovered videos online about papercrete and making handmade notebooks and diaries. I don't know much at all about your country so I don't know but suspect you may have a very short growing season for fruits and vegetables ?I don't know if you have space to grow food where you live but I'm sure I will discover this soon . I am watching from my window and the tiny birds are chasing each other almost dancing in the tree branches gives me hope that spring is almost at the door .warmest regards felicity

We are cat lovers but after having had the most amazing cat in the world and loosing him to old age, we have not gotten another. He was everything to us! We never had children and he was our family. Our cats before him were also but this one was extra special. So yes you did the right thing to follow your heart. And you can see he is happy and adjusting.

I had to do the same thing with my cat and she got along just fine..I'm really happy I did it and boy she could walk and run just fine with three legs..so I'm happy you gave your pet another chance at living a longer life.

I had to have one of dogs leg amputated because of cancer. Animals do fine with three legs. I also adopted another three legged dog. Do not worry about what other people think. You do what is best for the cat, because you love her.

Beautiful views of the countryside. I spent some time in Norway several years ago and loved the beauty but I didn’t spend enough time in the countryside, so now I enjoy your videos and hope to return one day for more exploration.
I would make the same choice for my cat if he were so young. I have a senior cat (17 years) who is slowing down these days.

I’m so sorry you had such a difficult fall and about your kitty. I live in the US and it is very common to see three legged cats and dogs, they seem to adjust and live happy lives. 25 yr ago, our cat had his front leg removed. He quickly adapted and was so even still able to hunt. He lived for many more years and was very very happy. ♥️

I am hoping to discover you making some craft type projects or making things from the natural resources local to your home but I will have to wait and see. I have discovered videos online about papercrete and making handmade notebooks and diaries.
I don't know much at all about your country so I don't know but suspect you may have a very short growing season for fruits and vegetables ?I don't know if you have space to grow food where you live but I'm sure I will discover this soon .
