This is literally the premise of a story I've been working on. The aliens also set up a hunting ground where you can "hunt your own food, just like the humans did," but it's just a shooting range with live cows as targets.
As a fish owner, I’m genuinely horrified
And not even by the things Dan thinks. Those fish were given zero time to adjust to the temperature and PH of that water, I guarantee they’re dead as hell.
And all those extra food flakes are 1000% gonna sink to the bottom in a gross grime.
AND THIS MAN PUT A BETTA FISH WITH A BUNCH OF OTHER FISH LMAO

Fun fact: Seeing RT's green tank on stream reminded me of a scene from the Jeffrey Dahmer docuseries where he showed how he'd pit two male bettas to fight to the death in a similar green tank, so I tried googling it and instead discovered that Dahmer used to be an avid and diligent fishkeeper, with a nice cichlid tank. There are actual pictures of the tank online, taken from his tapes, and the fish abuse scene from the show was completely fictional.
So yes, Jeffrey Dahmer, an actual psychopath, took better care of his fish than RTGame.

The 2 male bettas were having a dark souls 1 online 1v1 💀
You can put Betta’s with other fish.
It’s just easier said than done, and heavily depends on the tank mates
Other than the seahorse I didn't know fish did live birth, either.
Then again I don't keep fish and no one in my family has been much good at it, either.

My family has always kept fish but we always just kept any Bettas by themselves because it’s just easier, honestly lol I’ve heard that you need to monitor the tank for a few days just in case they start fighting? And that Bettas are more likely to attack brightly coloured fish with big fins? (Basically any fish that looks like a Betta) My family has always liked angelfish so that’s obviously a big no for having as a tank mate for a betta lol Those are about as big as fins get on indoor fish XD
ALSO, RT having all the fish in that tiny hole at one point was a recipe for fights lmaooooo

Betta’s are very territorial and will pick fights with tank mates and other Betta fish. Males especially. If you want multiple betta fish together, it’s best to have a handful of females or at maximum one male. Two males in one tank *will* fight. The only time you would want to mix male and female betta’s is if you want to breed them (which is difficult because domesticated bettas are notoriously inbred and have low fertility rates).
Betta fish are also be very personality driven, some Betta’s will attack everything that moves, and others wouldn’t hurt a fly, while most Betta fish fall everywhere in between.
Also yes, seeing RT put all those fish in close proximity like that made me feel second hand despair.
I like how Dan played this game to "chill out" when he just made everything even more terrifying

During the stream I asked Dan if it was revenge for the jumpscare part of stream and he said yes. Definitely the best way to get revenge on us it was horrifying to watch.

they don't, typically they find the nearest window to jump out of.
I know by now that when dan says "let's relax and have fun" it's going to be the most stressful thing you've ever seen

so i've seen tanks alarmingly overcrowded like the one towards the end of the video, BEFORE he moved them to the 5 gallon and i've always wondered "who the hell finds this many fish all in the same tank attractive?? surely a psychopath"

When Daniel said "the water is 100% CO2" I don't think he was correct. The water was only 10% CO2. The other 90% was fish corpse.

As an aspiring marine biologist, I have no idea what the goal of this game is but I’m upset anyways
This feels like the tank you see when you walk into the dentist office as a kid. Half of them are dead, most of them are fat and look at you begging for mercy, and the others... We don't mention those.
As a fish hobbyist, this was the scariest gameplay I've ever seen from RT.

Daniel accelerated the evolution. the fish were so desperate to leave the horrible conditions in the fish tank, they started to learn to breathe surface oxygen by jumping out of the water. if he'd gave them more time, they'd evolve their fins into wings and fly somewhere safe.
There was ample fish murder, but I worry there wasn't enough shark murder.
So this is the game that Smarter Every Day helped work on (hence the logo). More specifically though, the game development was headed by Destin's audio engineer, Gorden who runs an audio engineering company called A Shell in the Pit.
Though probably mostly know for working with Destin, they've also done the audio for games such as Untitled Goose Game, A Night in the Woods, and even FNAF: Security Breach
Thanks to you RT now I know what to do if I ever want to own 1000 pet fishes at once!
